As a wind up to the school term these ensembles will be performing a set each at the newest and hippest music venue in Adelaide. Come and see some of the best young jazz talent in Adelaide.

The Promethean is a recently renovated, designated live music venue. I saw a concert there on Sunday afternoon and was blown away by just how cool this place is. Check out other jazz groups there: James Annesley Trio this Wednesday and Nick Mulder on Saturday night.

Geoff Hargreaves, owner of FAD Bar on Waymouth St. says the
excitement gathering regarding FAD Bar After Midnight Sessions.

Geoff said, "since March the 8th, we have been running Jazz after midnight,
showcasing some of the finest musicians in Adelaide. With the only rule being no
standards allowed. Every Friday and Saturday night, FAD Bar is proud to present
some of Adelaide's finest, with some of the finest contemporary jazz in the
    city.

With regular artists such as, Lyndon Gray, Chris Soole, Rob Eyers, Ian Dixon and
the fabulous Kubrick, I am sure that it is a musical adventure that you will
    thoroughly enjoy."

Late night jazz at FAD happens most friday and saturday nights. I've been to a few sessions and it is a great way to end an evening.

    Hello all,
I have been working with the Kings Head Hotel to set up a Jam Session on the 2nd Thursday of each month. This is an all comers session with a great house trio of Adam Lutley, Tim Bowen and Ben Riley. Bring down your horn and hang out with the guys, from 8.30pm.

    Also...

i apologise for the lack of an update for a while, i've been away over xmas.

there is a cool gig at blue note every second friday with the Lauren Sturdy Quartet. the next one of these will be in just under 2 weeks.

Elysium's thursday night jazz shows are now down to once a month, as it stands Singularity will perform there on the first thirsday of every month (this may change).

Mike Stewart Big Band also play on the first thursday of every month at King's Head hotel.

FAD bar seems to be picking up steam as they now have Kubric on Thursdays, the Jazz Warriors on fridays, and Bill Parton Trio on tuesdays.

Hope you all had a good xmas and enjoy some great music in the new year.
