AboutThis is an add me community for shy people, people with social anxiety, AvPD or anyone that leans towards the self conscious side and finds it hard to meet people. I want this to be a friendly, comfortable place for us to meet people and make new livejournal friends.
There are just a couple of rules:
(1)Feel free to express what you are (and are not) looking for in a potential lj friend. However, since this is a social anxiety community, please don't require potential friends to fill out "applications" or otherwise engage in "rating" type activities. The reason for this is simple: this is a social anxiety community. Many people on here are quite sensitive to rejection. Because of that, the competitive nature of applications are contrary to the community's goals of camaraderie and mutual support.
(2)Also, please keep posts on topic. Post as much as you would like about yourself, it can include details about your social anxiety or it can just be details such as where you work or go to school, where you live, how old you are, your favorite movies, etc. I do ask that if you want to talk about social anxiety in this community, that you keep it within the context of requests to be added. Off topic posts will be removed.

Please take the time to peruse the community memories before making your first post. There aren't a lot of rules, but there is a bit of posting etiquette to make sure this community is a pleasant experience for everyone.
