Well I started learning French this year so a journal in French would be nice, even though I probably won't be able to understand it.
I really want to learn Spanish, Portuguese and Hebrew, so if anyone has a journal in any of those languages, feel free to add me. I started teaching myself Spanish this year and mum's promised me classes if we can find any. And now I'm rambling...anyway if you have an tips on how to do an alveolar trill as well. I will be a happy person!!!
Also if anyone has a Cantonese or Japanese journal, add me as well. I did Japanese for 3 years at my old school and I want to learn Cantonese because I think people speak it more often than Mandarin.

I just realised that I just stated a lot of languages.
Feel free to add me, anyone!

Hi/bonjour/hola/shalom!
my journal is mainly in english, with a little bit of french and spanish in it, but i can definitely practice french, spanish and hebrew with you on LJ. I speak french fluently and i'm a little rusty in hebrew but i can carry on a decent conversation and i used to be almost fluent and i understand it very well, and i'm currently learning spanish so it'd be great to have someone to practice with! =) let's be friends!?
xo, Rebecca

Hi! marshmellobun here~
I'm 17 and a Chinese-American, so I can fluently read/speak/write in both languages. My LJ is sometimes written in Chinese(simplified, traditional, pinyin & cantonese) and sometimes English but its mostly chinese song lyrics translations and my english subbed chinese videos. I'd be glad to explain anything in Chinese or have a conversation. wanna be friends?

~hey when you said cantonese, you mean typed cantonese? b/c even though I speak this dialect, I still think the typed version is really weird/hard to understand if you dont actually speak it and its different from formal writing. just letting you know, if you try reading my cantonese posts and you've never had experience with cantonese speakers, then you might get a headache..

I actually meant spoken cantonese.
I'm not even going to try to learn how to read it.

since I speak both mandarin and cantonese, I think spoken is kinda mandarin sounding sometimes, so not too hard in my opinion..written cantonese is just in chinese characters but uses different expressions than formal writing.

I think if you wanna learn spoken cantonese from me, then it'll be from cantonese song lyric translations that I'll type up b/c I hardly ever actually type the pronunciations, which doesnt mean you couldn't ask me for specific things of course..^^

by the way, are you taiwanese (or know any other chinese dialects) by any chance? I think the taiwanese dialect is awesome! and I wanna learn more dialects too!

¡Hola!
My journal is mainly in English, but I do write in Spanish, which is my first language, from time to time. Feel free to add me, and if you want to comment in Spanish, I'll gladly answer in Spanish. Also, if you have any questions regarding the language, I'll be happy to help you. I have some experience with teaching Spanish as a foreign language :)

I'm a native Spanish speaker (I'm from Puerto Rico) and I'm working on my French (and soon will be starting to learn Japanese) so if you'd like to talk on AIM or something sometime that'd be great.

On a random note, I'm also learning Ancient Greek, ha.

Classical Greek is absolutely awesome, if complicated. This is my first semester studying it and I'm already feeling the challenge... but I'm emjoying it, too!

Cool, that must be great!
You can hardly find any language classes where I live and my parents don't really want to travel.
*sigh*
