AboutHere are the rules for posting on A Day In My Life.. Learn them, live them, love them.
ALL POSTS MUST BE MEMBERS ONLY. if you do not set it to members only, it will be rejected.
What is a Day in my Life?
Easy...70 images (INCLUDING THE TEASER) or less that tell your story from the time you wake up (or within 15 minutes because we like bed head) and about one picture per hour or so until you go to bed (or within a short time before). Not 2-3 hours. Time checks are not required, but it helps to have them so people get a sense of the time of day.
A day starts when you get up in the morning and ends when you go to bed at night. It does not start halfway through one night and to the next one. Wake-sleep. That's it. The only way around this is if you wake at dusk and sleep at dawn or live a similar lifestyle.
CAPTIONS should be descriptive, witty and short. If you are not witty, at least keep them short and descriptive.
TEASER
Only one small-medium (300x200) pic above the lj-cut. If it stretches a browser window set at 800X600, it's too large. Think of a credit card or ID. That is as large as we want it.
Be considerate to others.
YOU MUST put the exact number of images you used before the lj-cut or within the text of the lj-cut.(See below for formats. No image count will result in deletion)
This is a must and is non-negotiable. None of this "ISH" nonsense. If you are too lazy to count your own images, it will be deleted. If you lie about the number of images, it will be deleted.
Image Count Format
Just put the TOTAL number. All of the images..
NEVER put anything like "40+ /-teaser" or "40 including/not including repeated teaser" or "40 pic under the cut".
Just a TOTAL:
34 pictures total.
54 pics total.
47 pictures total
70 images total.
Just for format sake, PUT THE WORD TOTAL AT THE END!
BE SMART and post the day on your own journal before posting on ADIML. That would save a HUGE amount of problems with people forgetting or messing up their LJ cuts. Saves everyone headaches. I know this seems like common sense but not many people think that far ahead.
TAGS
Please use tags ONLY for putting your date of posting on the entry and your city, state and country. All other tags will be cause for deletion of post. PLEASE pay close attention to this. It will save you a lot of crap if you just read this.
READ THIS BEFORE POSTING
THIS IS A MODERATED COMMUNITY. YOUR POSTS WILL BE SUBMITTED AND THERE CAN BE A WAIT FOR THEM TO POST DEPENDING ON HOW BUSY THE COM MIGHT BE.
Combined images count as separate so if you put 4 separate images into one, it counts as 4 images, not 1 image.
If you have a question about the community, ASK A MOD. Do not hijack someone's posts. MESSAGE A MOD.
Don't post OLD days. Keep it current. It's rather boring to see something you did so long ago you probably can't answer questions about it. 1-3 months old TOPS. No older without getting it oked first.
Do not post more than one post per 7 days. Give other people a chance to post.

Do not just post a link to your journal as your entry. POST TO ADIML.
NEVER delete a Mod comment. Ever.
Never screen comments.
Never butt-in when a mod is correcting something/someone. Let the Mods do their job.
