1. Name? Sarah
2. Stage Name? Sarah Marie
3. Age? 16
4. What are your motivations to be an actweur/actor? Acting has always been my passion. I haven't met an actor or been acting since I was 5. I was an average kid. My father always took me to see musicals when he could afford to. My extended family (aunts and uncles) all did community theatre for a long time, but didn't pressure anyone into acting, they would however reference lines from plays and musicals all the time.
I was a good public speaker as a kid so I evolved into an actor. My motivation is being in the spotlight of course and receiving attention. Why lie? I love attention and like to build a rapport with the audience. Plain and simple.
5. What shows have you been in?
I am not going to count lame-ass productions from when I was a kid. But there were the Christmas plays.Otherwise:
Clyde Wooden in Stop Thief!
Sir John A. Macdonald in The Dance of our Nation (A historical piece)
Father Rodger Schmidt and Rulon Stacey in The Laramie Project
Wife in Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat
Jen/Custodian (soloist) in McCreary, Manitoba (tour)
Myself in Butterfly Wings
As well as anything associated with three years of drama and two years of vocal classes in school.
6. Which of these shows was your favorite? Joseph is my absolute favourite because it was my first musical. To dance and sing as well as act is an amazing experience and Joseph was full of people that were amazing and a schoolwide effort. I honestly think it could have toured. I also met my boyfriend of a year there so I have to say I am biased. He was Joseph ;)
7. Which time period/type of theatre engages you the most? Musical theater is engaging to me because it is something I attain to be a part of. Contemporary plays are engaging in a different way because the content is that much more important.
8. What is your most desired role? Anna in The King and I or possibly Tuptim. Preferably Anna lol.
9. If you are off-the-charts pretentious, feel free to post your resume! nah.
10. What are your future career aspirations? Musical theater is something I will always aspire, but on the side of a career studying sexuality and sexual behaviour which I feel is a more attainable career choice.
11. When you get to Heaven…what would you like to hear God say? (If you maintain atheist beliefs, feel free to assert them). I am not sure of the existence of Heaven, but I am a Taoist and believe that God is a part of everything and a being that is personal and must be discovered individually.
12. Name one reason why you are superior to others. I am ridiculously smart
13. Have you ever asked a prominent actor (famous, local, etc.) if they have any advice for an aspiring actor? I never have. If I was going to it would be someone working perhaps at Stratford Festival Theatre in Stratford, Ont.
14. What do you believe you will bring to this community? Advice, simple conversation on plays that we have seen/share in common. Added information in regards to casting calls, discussion about music and acting, singing, and dancing each individually. And Activity. I am very active online.
15. Post several pictures of yourself if you wish...headshot material, in-production photos, or any type you see fit. I promise I will post more when I buy my new digital camera but heres a few from Joseph, backstage. I'll give you the links in case they're too large.

http://i112.photobucket.com/albums/n169/Wacky_Compass/caf8c2d4.jpg ---I am on the bottom, far left
http://i112.photobucket.com/albums/n169/Wacky_Compass/7de488b4.jpg ---Farthest right in the pink.
For the record, I have gotten an awesome haircut since then, it was a year ago after all.
I'll try and post an updated pic of me if I'm accepted.

thanks for reading if you did :)

To completely be transformed into someone else is an amazing experience and to know that the people you are performing for think of you as that character is just awesome.
5. What shows have you been in? Stuff when I was a kid... as of recently, I was in My Fair Lady and am currently in the role of Kim in Bye Bye Birdie for a community theater group.
6. Which of these shows was your favorite? Why? I'm loving Bye Bye Birdie; I love my songs and the people in it are wonderful. I've always loved the play itself, too.
7. Which time period/type of theatre engages you the most? I love Shakespeare, but as for Musical Theater, I'm into contemporary stuff right now, but I also love the older musicals.
8. What is your most desired role? G(a)linda in Wicked
9. If you are off-the-charts pretentious, feel free to post your resume! Meh, nah. Sorry, guys.
10. What are your future career aspirations? I'm going to Broadway. After college, I'm moving to Brooklyn and I'm going to spend my whole life auditioning for musicals if I have to. Unrealistic, but there you are. I don't give up easily.
11. When you get to Heaven…what would you like to hear God say? (If you maintain atheist beliefs, feel free to assert them.) Latter. Yes, I'm mostly atheist.
12. Name one reason why you are superior to others. Oh, I get an excuse to be vain. That doesn't happen often. I sing the pants off most other people!
13. Have you ever asked a prominent actor (famous, local, etc.) if they have any advice for an aspiring actor? Nope, but that would be the first thing on my list to ask a "prominent actor".
14. What do you believe you will bring to this community? Sick obsession. Enthusiasm.

1. Name? Virginia
2. Stage Name? Virginia of course.
3. Age? 17
4. What are your motivations to be an actweur/actor? so many different things. when i was 9 i met an actress who was sort of making it, and she made me realize i should try it out. but then i quit after 5 years because i hated the play production company in my town. so instead i persued music journalism, but just recently i was in a play and i felt so happy. and soon after, i saw lenny and the graduate with dustin hoffman, and i don't know it blew me away, and some how in his performance i realized the only time i'm myself, and i'm truly happy is when i'm acting.
5. What shows have you been in? a lot when i was younger, but i don't know the names. recently just one play: The Best Christmas Pageant Ever - Alice
6. Which of these shows was your favorite? Why? well, i'm going to say the best christmas pageant ever, not just because it's one of the few i've been in but because it was the first role that i had freedom with.
7. Which time period/type of theatre engages you the most? 60s-70s. i am fasinated with all the actors and actresses that came out around this time period. and a strong period too. no one was just trying to be pretty...they were throwing away glamour for reality, and i love that.
8. What is your most desired role? oh jeez, i have no idea. i think if i could play mrs. robinson...i'd be a happy person. but that's kind of random. just whatever appeals to me.
9. I f you are off-the-charts pretentious, feel free to post your resume! hahah, i don't have much of one!
10. What are your future career aspirations? well in a year i plan to move to new york, and hopefully attend lee strasberg. and try to get involved with off broadway/broadway, hopefully some film, and if i'm lucky...snl!
11. When you get to Heaven…what would you like to hear God say? (If you maintain atheist beliefs, feel free to assert them.) you have done well, my child. (heh, i have no idea.)
12. Name one reason why you are superior to others. i don't think i am. i'm a firm believer that we're all awesome in our own way. but i do think i have some talent. i'm also a writer, and i was songwriter for a few years too. i had a music magazine for two years. and ive always been interested in fashion designing although i'm no marc jacobs. i'm also big into foriegn languages. currently french, and finnish.
13. Have you ever asked a prominent actor (famous, local, etc.) if they have any advice for an aspiring actor? well...yeah, when i was 9...i kept asking her tons of questions. she was a little prophet to me then. but besides that no.
14. What do you believe you will bring to this community? hmm...not sure.
15. Post several pictures of yourself if you wish...headshot material, in-production photos, or any type you see fit. Also, once you are accepted, we will want a 180 by 180 pixel picture for our member photos. And it's 180 by 180...because we say so!
as of now, i can't post anything, but when i get a chance i will.
First Role In This Community

My application...Thanks for reading!
1. Name? Krystal
2. Stage Name? Anna Martin
3. Age? 20
4. What are your motivations to be an actweur/actor? Since the first time I placed foot onto my high school theatre, I fell in love. I began in small parts in "The Wizard of Oz" and loved every moment. The feeling of taking a crowd and putting them into your relm, is nothing that can be described. It's a high being in the light, and it's something I choose to never let fade.
5. What shows have you been in? Wizard of Oz, Ten Little Indians, The Foreigner, Guys and Dolls, Oklahoma!, As You Like It, Christmas Carol, Jesus of Nazareth Passion Play, I also work at Disney World, so we are doing shows right now for Christmas.
6. Which of these shows was your favorite? Why? Oklahoma! I was Aunt Eller, and she's a character to play! I had a great family cast who really put this show into motion! We had such a great time!!!
7. Which time period/type of theatre engages you the most? I enjoy reading about Greek theatre. Their enthusiasm moves me.
8. What is your most desired role? To be Ado Annie and Broadway
9. If you are off-the-charts pretentious, feel free to post your resume! LOL! I'm not quite that good yet, working on it. :)
10. What are your future career aspirations? Eventually I would like to work on broadway, even just as an extra. Somehow, someway, I will hit a stage on broadway even if it is for a split moment.
11. When you get to Heaven…what would you like to hear God say? (If you maintain atheist beliefs, feel free to assert them.) You crack me up!!!
12. Name one reason why you are superior to others. My drive would place me at a top of a list. Once my mind is set, look out. No stopping this one.
13. Have you ever asked a prominent actor (famous, local, etc.) if they have any advice for an aspiring actor? Yes, he was a local actor who stated, "Keep knocking, eventually, someone has to answer." I've also met the woman who posed for Tinker Bell, she was just an inspiration herself to have met Walt Disney.
14. What do you believe you will bring to this community? Encouragment! Anyone who needs words to lift them up higher, I can provide that.
15. Post several pictures of yourself if you wish...headshot material, in-production photos, or any type you see fit. Also, once you are accepted, we will want a 180 by 180 pixel picture for our member photos. What are your motivations to be an actweur/actor? broadway, old hollywood, glamour, none of the trashy hollywood stuff today that discourages me. But Broadway, especially old broadway. Some of the people I deeply admire are Patti Lupone, Bernadette Peters, and there are some others as well
5. What shows have you been in? there are many that I'm not terribly proud of but there was "A Christmas Carol" which I somewhat enjoyed
6. Which of these shows was your favorite? Why? Well none of the shows I've been in so far have been particularly great but I'm going to be doing "Into the Woods" very soon and I'm looking forward to that
7. Which time period/type of theatre engages you the most? older broadway circa 1930s - 1970s I hate this whole new stuff about wicked and rent It holds not interest for me
8. What are your future career aspirations? well I'd love to be on broadway or a cabaret/nightclub entertainer but if those don't work out I'd like to try my hand at costume design
11. When you get to Heaven…what would you like to hear God say? (If you maintain atheist beliefs, feel free to assert them.) What any theatre snob expects......"can I have your autograph?"
12. Name one reason why you are superior to others. Well I think I'm wittier then a lot of people in a lot of areas. I'm usually top banana in the shock department. I like to go by this Katherine Hepburn quote:

"Most people are raised to believe they are just as good as the next person. I was always told I was better"

13.
greetings. i, being one of the instigators of this fine and storied establishment, will now post my completed questionnaire. read it.

1. Which of these shows was your favorite? Why? "The Boyfriend" was my first ever (ensemble), and Lucy in "You're A Good Man..." was my first 'lead' but the best so far has been "Working," wherein I portrayed Babe Secoli, the slightly ridiculous yet fabulously admired supermarket checker.

7. When you get to Heaven…what would you like to hear God say? "Bravo."

12. Name one reason why you are superior to others.
