[info]hottencolden and his lovely Miss, caught in a...shall we say..."passion-filled kiss", all from bein' so excited over the art show at the MOCCA featuring all us webcomicky kinda folks, most specifically all of us here on ACT-I-VATE! Here's a few shots of what went down...



"W-wait...this isn't the Todd McFarlane exhibit?? AWwwwwwww. Zoidberg sad."


Scott McCloud, creator of the groundbreaking Understanding Comics and Making Comics, stands beside one of ACT-I-VATE's greatest creators, the illustrious [info]dangoldman!!


Two of the characters of my own Kid Zero comic (still brought to you by ACT-I-VATE, coming up later tonight for all of you to enjoy plug plug plug), [info]revdave a.k.a. the Big Man and [info]mistuspakulah a.k.a. Stew, with my roomate <"lj user="gamegear1"> and my boyfriend Jon comin' to show some support for yours truly! And we drank free booze!


[info]man_size appears out of nowhere, ready to shoot me with webbing....
Ryan: "B-but Dean....you aren't Peter Parker...I mean Spider-Man!!"
Dean: "You fool!! You've revealed his identity!!!"
Ryan: "They already did that in Civil War though..."
Dean: "Oh...oh. Well...that's lame."

Yeah. I thought so, too.

Anyways...



It was pretty interesting to see all the art up...what everyone chose to put in and all that. Tons of beautiful works, and the crowd! What a crowd! It was amazing to see so many folks appear..I b.s.ed a moment with [info]4_eyez about the turnout, and he had commented that he, like I, was worried it'd just be the artists showing up and such. Who knew?


Speaking of [info]4_eyez, here he is, being happy and posing for the paparazzi. We always follow after him...


See that big hunka chocolate love over there? That's my friend [info]vernnyc, comin' to support the webcomicking community...rock on, Vern!


[info]jahfurry, getting a bit red in the face (my own fault actually, light was weird in some places), stares intently, trying his hardest not to use his super deluxe Radioactive Eyebeams on the crowd. It's so hard not to, though.


Having so many ACT-I-VATEr's in one room was really cool...


And so, to end part one of this two part ACT-y post, we have Kevin and his lovely Miss again...bein' all quiet and what not.

For the record, there's a cough drop in my mouth, hence my even-dorkier-than-usual griin.

Great party! Wish I could have been there for the whole thing instead of just the beginning and end.
