that's the plan. i envision it as a 700-800pg hardcover with single-panel pages.

That bird hung around Lilli and I while we were in Salavador in Brazil; he'd even hang around our hotel window... like he was watching over us. We weren't far from jungle, and I'm sure it wasn't the same bird every time, but he found his way into "KELLY" quite nicely... just wait and see what's he's about.

This may not be autobiographical, but that doen't mean nazi skinheads didn't try to hang out at the Hungry Sailor down in Coconut Grove and start shit with the gays, the SHARPS, or the gay SHARPS. Nazis are gay, hence the irony of this scene.

The bird detail is such a nice touch.

Yeah, everybody acted like they knew what was going to happen, remember? But we've ALL seen OZ/etc and that would've been just-another-riff. I'm trying to make a book that I want to read, not a collection of TV/film homages starring my own characters, yknow? Working in comics (especially online) gives you the opportunity to spike pure imagination without kowtowing or bowing to anyone; "KELLY" is fo-sho an exercise/experiment in trying to create something new.

Glad to have surprised you, Loba... and hang on for what's next. I won't let you down.

if you want to be a "great storyteller", my advice to you is: read books, eat your vegetables drop out of school and travel at every opportunity with camera and a notebook.

heehee sorry for being invisible i forgot to log in like a ninny, i love reading, hate vegetables, and just got an associates degree in illustration, but i need to buy a camera, always have a note book, maybe i am 68% there to being a great story teller? darn you vegetables taste more like candy darnit.
