thanks...but honestly, I've been working on this for nearly two years. I'm probably the ONLY ACT-I-VATE creator who isn't posting pages that they've just finished in time for their particular day's installment...otherwise the rest of these cats would very likely be smoke'n me :)

Holy hot damn, there's even a cameo by Donald Rumsfeld and shit.

The art here is exquisite.

I'd love for it to be available before this time next year...hopefully much sooner, but a lot of luck and good fortune needs to fall into place...heh...in any case, i'll be one dance'n, celebrate'n fool when that happens :)

heh...yeah, Edward is a bit on the colorfully eccentric / nearly daft side...:)
thanks man...I'm pleased you're reading through it again...i like the idea that it might be that kind of book, that one is compelled to re-read, to connect dots or simply enjoy...not unlike how i've grown to enjoy certain books, movies and series that often require that second or third look back...which i've had to do often enough while working on this thing :)

hey thanks :) hat was remarkably enjoyable page to put together...nearly four full nights of these many seperate continually spontanious suprises, until eventually the page was done...heh
I tried to give the impression that the crash happened some years ago...aside from the motion of the lazy leaves, there's no movement on that page, but in later pages we'll return to the accident as it happened...which took me a while to figure out just how to pull it off...heh

i want to say that you write like hemmingway, not that you sound like him, but use a similar method of giving the reader info - this is like an ice berg 3/4 of its mass is submerged - and it's fantastically compelling.
the art isn't too bad either ^.-

but yays next week is page 40, we get to find out what drockleberries are!

"3/4 of its mass is submerged"...*grin*...thannk you so much!
sorry though...when I said 40 pages, i meant 'another' 40...heh

I often tell myself to read more Hemmingway. He described a painting in "Islands in the stream"...nearly a full page narrative that has made me flip through and find it whenever I happen by it at a book store...I've long since given away the copy I used to own. one of these days I simply need to pick up another for myself...heh

It's criminal that no one's knocking down your door to get this into print. Or are they?

What strikes me is that the story's tone sort of has this...sort of...

It's like the story expects the reader to already be aware of something. Like it assumes that the reader has grown with the past events that have lead up the the present tale. Does that make sense?

I've noticed a similar feeling when I pick up an issue of some established comic series. I always feel like even though I may have all the information I need to understand the plot, there's decades of development behind it that I'm not exposed to. It's actually rather exciting.

"Like it assumes that the reader has grown with the past events that have lead up the the present tale."

yeah...heh...you know, the thing is, when I first dove into those first pages it honestly hadn't occured to me that i'd be creating more then a handful...just experimenting really.
I'd "grown up" with this story concerning the father ( Edward ) for over a few years, mostly just a lot of notes and sketches, and for whatever reason ( mostly just to see where it might lead ) I dove into this story, that begins just where the original story of Edward had left off...while it was all new territory, i felt i knew it anyway.
it's been a leap of faith so far...heh

at some point, i worry if readers won't begin to get the feeling that I've lead them on a wild-goose-chase...heh...there will times in the coming weeks that might give that impression :)
