sometimes a curl is just a curl; I like how iconic and Olive Oyl it is, yet it's cartoony charms are used for completely different emotions. wait and see where this is going.

Next time you walk out on me... I will sell your heart in a styrofoam cooler on the streets of Morroco.
Hah! I now feel totally justified that the things the boy and I say to each other is romantic pillow talk and not gruesome at all... In some universes anyway.

Have I mentioned that I go all achy under the sternum for these crazy motherfuckers? Cause I do.

It's funny: that streets of Morocco thing reminds me of the way me and Misha talk to one another, sometimes. I say stuff like, "Nice turn signal, faggot," and "Bitch, I'll slap the white offa you," with nothing but the utmost love.

Speaking of love, I love KELLY.

actually, that's my copy of "Tropic of Cancer" (and "Tropic of Capricorn"... Henry Miller is one of my favorite writers; he used to live in my part of Brooklyn, and the old bar around the corner from my house O'Connor's was a well-documented watering-hole of his). nice one picking that up.

and yes, next week, another "OOOOOOOOHHH..." cometh.

Excellent update, Mr. Goldman. The androgony in panel 2 is balanced really well, a very tricky thing to do. That curl panel is top notch too and a what a great cliffhanger.
I hope Kelly isn't still listening at the wall...

Oh, this is my first comment on Kelly, so "Hi!"

Kelly listening at the wall? Whoa... THAT would be a fucking plot twist, wouldn't it?

I dig how the visuals fade out; it'll read well when not in installments. I forget: are plans afoot to put this in hardcopy?

Speaking of which, are you aware preorders on SHOOTING WAR are already being solicited on Amazon? It has been added to my monolithic wish list, though I'll likely buy it for myself when the time comes.

And thirdly, happy birthday. Welcome to your Jesus year. What will it be that gets you crucified by this time next year? Better make it a good one if it's going to buy you 2000 years of infamy.

Yeah, happy birthday to me too; thanks for remembering, Ken...

There are no plans to publish "KELLY" at the moment, as I am perfectly happy just getting to write and draw it for a long while. I imagine that the raging torrent of rainbow energy involved in its gestation will certainly attract hungry IP vampires that squirt ink onto paper etc.

I am, however, writing the whole thing as a novel to be read in one sitting... AND creating a musical rhythm to the narrative using these weeks as measures. That sounds so pretentious, but it really is how I think about it when I sit down to work: I envision plotlines/devices/elements/themes like samples in a music program and create the comic along that "track design" so the fucker has a bump 'n grind to it.

And yeah, seeing my SHOOTING WAR on pre-order on Amazon was pretty exciting.

Dude, you're competing with Dino here on a best written dialogue on ACT-I-VATE!

Now we got all the ground work... time for some nitty gritty!?

you just sparked the napalm in my apocalypse!

it's not always easy standing shoulder to to shoulder with the rest of ACT-I-VATE; it's cool watching everyone stepping up their game when someone else has a breakthrough.

anyhoo, thanks for reading+digging it; your nitty gritty begins on Thursday with the next chapter, fo sho!
