Great page.

Love the expression on the 2nd to last panel. Like the Indiana Jones of love map device, too.

I'm digging the use of fonts - I keep watching them to see if your ambitious system breaks design wise, but you've really managed to stay street legal thus far. Push it. Push it.

I adore this sequence. Finally, something for me to grasp. Sprinkles of how you do KELLY only fortified with more love and HEARTS [even I hadn't thought of that trick in IMMORTAL]!

I still hate the schizo-lettering but the dialogue is informative and natural and sweet. These 3pp sing. Suddenly, I think I love 718.

Sorry, my inner 14-year-old girl managed to seep into my conciousness there, for a moment. :P

SWEET! You swap gears like a motherfucker!
The love just drips off these pages.
I've settled with the lettering now, probably because not of it's as small as it was in the last installment.

And I totally know what the "Are these my pants" guy is talking about.

Getting more interesting by the frame, Senor Goldman...

Thanks, chilada! I think showing the art bigger made a big diff too; I've gone ahead and resized all the stuff on the archive page too and it makes it a nicer read.

I wish we could do THE WHOLE STORY here, not just the first issue...

... actually, why can't we???

Over the next few installments we'll start to find out who 718 really is and why he's getting into fights on the subway. As we promised early on, it'll all come together...

I'm particularly fond of Boo's Crew. Keep an eye on them geezers.

Thanks, Rami... I had fun plotting this scene, averting the eyes away from the pregnancy with fun details until the dialogue beat demanded it. I'm very proud of that bit.

I always knew you were cut out for interesting things, Mr. Goldman, and you have not proved me wrong. Now I'm geographically settled once more, I'll be in the position to bounce more artwork in your direction...

Watch out for the lettering flow on panel 2. Goes up when it should head down and round.

I like the fonts as accents idea, but formal experiments can endanger the legibility, so need doing with great care. When you make it harder to read, some people don't.

I've not got an opinion of the story yet, but now at least I have 2 characters, so I'm starting to care.

Now that we're really seeing 718's face, especially that top down, I'm so seeing Mr. Smith here. Especially with the "Black Star" tattoo.

Not sure how I feel about that yet actually...

I know I love the Bubbles thong though.
