Nice start. Looking fwd to see where this leads...

I don't have a Flickr account and I'm not so sure everybody who you wanna get to see your comic has one or is gonna wanna sign up to one. I don't know how Dan G. got his Flickr hosted images [comix] to be on his LJ-post but you should make it so your comix sit pretty here so folks aren't forced to click all about. Perhaps Dan G. can weigh in with the tech?

He needs to click on ALL SIZES, then find the size he wants to post, and find the URL that will be listed below that image. THAT'S the URL to use, not the one in the browser bar.

That having been said, this is looking pretty sweet, man...

What he said. Listen to the chilada; he's smarter than he looks.

Get the 500px wide (or closest to) size via "ALL SIZES" tab, copy the static URL into the IMG tag in HTML to make your pickle tickle.

That way, people can see the artwork without having to go to Flickr. I also went to my Act-i-vcate Flickr set and pasted the "view as slideshow" link as a separate viewing option at the end of my piece b/c it's a nice and well-done option.

Right, right. But I thought that it would lead the reader to only a single image, and not to the start of the set where they can click-through in sequence.

Usually I then put the rest of the images behind an LJ cut...

The static page for each image also has buttons to navigate through the associated set:
screen capture of photoset nav buttons

I assumed the presentation was deliberate, that the reader had to click to "turn the page".

If you want to do a vertical stack of images, QuickrPickr is very handy - check off the images you want to display, push a button, and it spits out the HTML which you can cut and paste into webpages, blog posts, whatever. (and it's free!)

Put you in mind of a story you already have together? I think most of my output the first half of this year may be doing 5-page batches for pitch proposals.
Hey, as editor of Speakeasy now (congrats) do you get to greenlight whatever project you want?

i don't know if I can greenlight things, but I can bring projects in and get a serious look, if not get them published. I can bring in artists without a problem on the licensed books...writers are a little tougher.

This reminds me of how much I adored your VOX stuff. This would be a natural inclusion.

It also reminds me of a painting I did in high school, "The Marriage of Vulcan and Venus." Now I gotta study up on my Hindu mythology to figure out the relationship dynamic here.
