I started watching his programme whilst in Florida last year and then when I came home, on the Comedy Central website.  I was overjoyed when I found that the FX channel was showing him over here...albeit a few days later than the US.

He makes me happy in the brain and the pants!  <3 <3 <3

So, part one of Doctor Horrible was fun.

PART TWO IS AMAZING.

Seriously, the music is gorgeous, Neil Patrick Harris is a revelation, and there're some v. funny funnies in there. It's also strangely poignant. The love interest is a bit commonplace, too cute to be trite but bordering on trite - I'm hoping there'll be some last minute reveal that'll make her character a little more interesting than simply "so sweet your teeth ache, which is a bad sign, you should probably get that checked out, you might have a cavity" - but the two mains, Dr. Horrible and Captain Hammer, are so fantastic that they more than make up for it.

The next (and final) part comes out tonight at midnight and then will be up all day tomorrow. It gets taken down on the 20th, and then the only way you'll be able to watch it is buying it off iTunes, so get it now. Seriously. Seriously.

In other news, I'm going to see the Batman movie tonight (I feel like such a nerd! But seriously - seriously - Christian Bale.), I have tomorrow off, and Tuesday I'm supposed to give a forty-five minute talk to some Russian students on studying abroad. Ha...?

The oven is fixed... mostly. The broiler doesn't work anymore, but I think I can pretty easily live with that in favor of an oven, so yay there. Shame I did not get a new one. But I think I'm destined to inherit pieces of shit in the world of appliances and large electronics.

Thanks to a friend I now have the entire Conet Project. Been scaring the hell out of myself ever since, it's great.

I've also broken down and tried Ben and Jerry's cinnamon buns ice cream. ...Wow was that a mistake. A tasty, tasty mistake. Must... control... portions... gah.

Ubisoft hands an illegal no-CD crack out to its customers. I am thoroughly amused. "Instead of doing the work to fix this, let's just do what everyone else does: Google a solution!" I love it.

And yes, I am just sick enough to have enjoyed the Duke Nukem Trilogy "trailer". You have to be either mentally ill or an old fan, I think. Heh.

Also, I am rather miffed that the Vampire Knight fandom is either obsessed with Kaname/Yuuki or Zero/Yuuki... such that other non-pairing related works are pretty much IGNORED (or do not even EXIST in the first place). Which would nicely explain the number of LJ comments that I'm receiving for both my Twins Verse fanfics. For some reason, I thought that I'd receive better results on LJ than on FF.Net. Amazingly enough, I got more responses for LCS on FF.Net... and BB on FF.Net is doing as well as on LJ. Perhaps even slightly better because I have 2 faves for it, meaning that at least one more person has read it on FF.Net than here.

SIGH. It's fricking hard to find things on the twins anywhere (da, FF.Net and LJ.. don't even talk about MediaMiner). I need a Zero and Ichiru fix that does not come from MYSELF. JEEZ. You'd think people can pull away from trying to form Kaname, Yuuki and Zero into a working threesome long enough to LOOK at other characters. -.-

*coughs* Okay, I think I'm being a little unfair but well. I WANT MY ZERO & ICHIRU FIX NOWZ. Also, I'm feeling none too pleasant towards Yuuki presently. Or rather, since chapter 37 where she... SO DEFINITELY HURT ZERO WITH HER WORDS. Even if she went back to her "normal" self later on, it wasn't TOWARDS Zero. In fact, I'm beginning to think she's kinda forgotten about him. Fine yes, you have Kaname. Of course you wouldn't look at Zero.

Now, I'm also suspecting that I like fanon!Kaname more than canon!Kaname (which begs the question of do I really like Kaname?). Might be because I actually read more fanfic before going on to read the manga and hence my impressions of Kaname were very much based on the fanfic version... that does not have Yuuki being a vampire. Or Kaname so blatantly using Zero without feeling. So yes, I fixate on Zero. I don't care. I dare say I'm following VK because of Zero. I want to know his actions after chapter 40. Chapter 42 should have him back already. It better. Also, what happens to Ichiru? Does anyone find him? If so, who? *is hoping that he doesn't stay in the cold prison cell alone* *wants Ichiru to be found and be... "taken care" of*

I'm wondering really... Is it really true that the whole fandom (okay, not whole, but a lot of people) hate Ichiru? Including the manga readers? WHY?

My poor Papa suddenly fell ill again. Said he couldn't breathe. My mom ended up calling the ambulance which brought him to a hospital. Unfortunately, its not his usual one and its really far from my home. Bah. He's warded there now and we can't transfer him. They're doing tests on him. His leg is all swollen from DVT and they're afraid a clot might have gotten to his lungs which would explain his breathlessness. Can't confirm until test results are out, which would be slow since its the weekend. *wails*

Good news: I'm off tomorrow so I can do chores and then go to the hospital to be with him.
Bad news: My mom's due to go away to Malaysia on Sunday which means I'm going to be stuck all alone taking care of things here. And I still have to work, because I can't find a replacement on a weekend! This totally sucks.

I have so many chores to do. For example, we were all in hospital today, and nobody remembered to feed the cat. (Well, I was at work and had to leave hurridly, so I have that excuse) My cat was so starved when we got home. Poor baby.

So Holo wakes up the next morning, for once in weeks getting a very good sleep, and then asks herself:

"Hmm, what am I going to do today?"

Which is weird, 'cause generally, I'd know what I'd want to do O_o but everything's so unpredictable recently I can't really.. "plan" as much anymore.

But in terms of fandom, if there's a pairing in the Saiyuki fandom that I don't like, it's Sanzo x Goygo because I can't see it. And I haven't seen any other authors convince me otherwise.

And I finally got "Nocturnal Romance", err, again. D: 'cause it was missing from my computer. It took me forever. @_@ augh. I had no patience in me yesterday.

Anyway, I'm gonna go finish The Final: V and plan/plot/etc while I download Moi Dix Mois stuff.

Went to watch Batman today as an end of paper reward; best movie I've seen in ages. God, it doesn't matter if you even like Batman or know anything about the DC universe - the show is amazing on an intellectual, artistic, entertaining and emotional level like nothing I've watched in the last year.

Now I want to write movie!Batman fic. This disturbs me almost as much as my desire to write Smallville!Lex/movie!Bruce fic, but not quite as much as my urge to write Tseng/movie!Bruce fic.

People need to go watch this so that I can write senseless Batman fic because it is awesome, Chris Nolan is a genius, Christian Bale pulls off a human Batman, Heath Ledger put out a creepy but so fucking believable magnum opus as the Joker, the Girl is actually Not Detestable and Everything Has A Moral, or at least Pisses On Morals.

Yes!!! Haha passed my drivers test.... and only just. lol. 14 minors.... very high so whoops. Had two minors for speeding apparently..... don't recall speeding more than once really..... Had 3 for steering because I crossed my arms a few too many times, still a pass though. Just need to save up money for a car and insurance and everything else now. DDXXX

So, the plan!

Instead of shopping for apartment-type stuff tomorrow, I'm going to bust out Tokyo Babylon and read through all of it so I can write the last two kinkfest fic--I'm putting off shopping because Wednesday I'm going TV shopping, and yeah, I'll need my money.

Sunday, off to Nara with a friend from Tokyo. Monday, maybe off with said friend to be a tourist in Kyoto, dunno yet (Yay, three day weekend). That leaves me all next week to get Keter done and work on the Epicfic chibirisuchan accidently sicced on me.

And tonight? Tonight, I booze. God, today was the most useless day ever--I was supposed to be at work 30 minutes early, but missed my train by one minute because of the interminably long light right in front of the station. Seeing as the train only comes every thirty minutes, yeah. I got to work at my normal time, ten minutes early, and then had to run to change into a suit instead of my normal jeans and T-shirt for a demonstration of the realtime handheld translation machine they've got--my part is a whopping two or three minutes, and I had to sit through the rest of the hour long demo. After lunch, I was told there was another demo at 4. Then it was 4:45. Then it was changed to 5. Gah. I went, and we discovered the hard way that the handhelds in the demo room weren't the real ones; they were the ones made specifically for the Beijing Olympics, meaning they were a little slower, and, worse, weren't set up to do English<->Chinese/Japanese translations (the Olympic ones only do Japanese<->Chinese right now), so I ended up sitting through the half-hour demo for nothing. So today was no, and now it's Miller time. Because chuuhai makes a bad day infinitely better. *boozes*

...that said, Epicfic was poking me as I walked home. So I might jot down my ideas and bits of scene. Hell, I'll just go ahead and work on it; let's shoot for getting it up to 35 pages.

So Holo goes online, after a long, long day-- she barely used the internet save for in the morning and now, and she asks:

"What am I doing here?"

And then she remembers her fanfics...

Dude, I'll most likely be taking calculus this fall. I'm both scared yet excited XD What. the hell.
