| About: |   A.C.E.O. stands for "Art Cards, Editions and Originals". Art cards are always 3.5 by 2.5 inches in size which is the size of a regular trading card like a hockey or baseball card. Because they are so much smaller than regular art, Art Cards are a good way to collect art by your favorite artist without paying a bundle. Art Cards were originally made to be traded by the artists who made them. Other people, not just artists, have caught the Art Card collecting bug and because of this many artists now have their cards available for sale. These art cards can be sold as either originals or editions; editions being copies or prints of an original. Prints should be numbered and signed (usually on the back). Check out Art-Cards.org  This community is for Artists to show off their art cards in. But we go one step further! Every few weeks or month or so, we will have a Art Card Challenge for our members to participate in. A post by one of the administrators of the community will explain what the current theme is and then everyone who wants to participate makes an art card that follows the theme and posts it on display in the community. Its fun to see everyone interpret a 'theme' in their own special and unique way and style. You can also post other art cards you've recently made and/or have for sale here.  1) All posts in this community must be ACEO related. 2) Make SURE to keep the majority of your ACEO images behind LJ Cuts! One or two images are fine, but very large images and multiple images should be behind LJ Cuts. 3) All ratings are allowed: G, PG, PG-13, R, X but anything over PG-13 must be posted behind a LJ-cut and the rating should be in the LJ Cut text or the Subject of your post. Links to ACEO websites or ACEO sales on sites like eBay that are rated over PG-13 must also be rated. 4) Any posted nudity MUST be tasteful! (and rated) 5) Artwork posted or linked to on this LJ Community MUST be ACEO artwork. 6) Please make sure the subject of your post explains whether it is for the Challenge or if it is just to show/ sell. 7) Do not criticize posted Art Cards UNLESS the artist has specifically asked for criticism, critiquing, and/or helpful tips in their post. 8) Staff Members of this community are the only ones who will be making posts that direct you on what the current ACEO CHALLENGE THEME will be. 9) Please don't spam.
