| | It sure may be hot out here in Oklahoma but at least gas is cheap. I'm really loving these giant jumps down in prices. If it wasn't going to be over 100 tomorrow sans heat index tomorrow, I'd totally go driving/hiking. After last weeks 20 cent jump down I was sort of expecting gas to stay around that but today it jumped down to $3.43. Can't believe I'm happy over that price but the more it goes down, the more I can think about planning a driving trip somewhere. I think if gas gets below $3.25, I'll drive down to Dallas. I'm pretty sure it won't keep it's downward turn but at least when it starts going back up, hopefully it will do that slowly and I'll have a better chance of it not hitting $5 by xmas. I hear rumors that gas is $3.33 up in OKC. It might be worth a drive to go check out the dog park and do some shopping one day and fill up there. Well it's time for class 2 of doggie training class. | Just find the partial scans of the Monthly VAMPS. Unfortunately, they were taken by a camera not scanned. Oh well, at least it's better than nothing for the poor oversea fans that are still waiting for their orders to arrive.
I think I'm really gonna love this magazine from what I have seen so far. Can't wait to get my copy. <333

| There has always been this episode of MASH that bothered me. It is where Hawkeye is sent to an aid station that is being heavily bombed. While he is waiting for the morning to come and return to the 4077th he writes his will. In the will he leaves HIS PURPLE robe to BJ.
The problem is Hawkeye's robe is red.
I didn't get how they could make such a mistake. I thought maybe they were alluding to a robe that was safely at home in Crab Apple Cove, or a different robe all together.... but none of these possibilities made much sense. I even found this Icon in the MASH Icon community that shared my confusion.
Then it happened.
I was watching an episode, shamefully I forgot which one, Where BJ and Hawkeye were being very chummy and teasing Charles. Well, BJ was wearing a purple robe, while Hawkeye was wearing his red one. So there is proof I feel that they are hot army lovers. Hawkeye had already given him his robe.
And in writing this, I feel it may be official, I have no life.

There is also a video on a photo shooting session the boys did for Monthly VAMPS. Oh, they made me laughed so hard XDDD It can be watched here. But towards the end, I nearly bursted into tears... because this could be the closet thing to a live performance we get to watch for a long time... unless you are in Japan and has secured a ticket to their lives... *bangs the wall repeatedly* HYDE-sama, could you please consider go to a music show and perform? Just once? T-T

| I've been thinking lately about politeness and civility in fandom and what it means to me. As I said before in a previous post, I believe that fandom is a collection of communities made up of individuals who come to fandom for very different reasons with very different emotional temperaments and backgrounds and who as a result participate in fandom in different ways. As such, I don't think there are overarching rules for how to behave in fandom.
However, I do believe that each fan has a set of *personal* rules for how to behave in fandom that may or may not be shared by the average fan. Since these rules aren't written and it's often hard to tell what's important to a fan just by reading journal posts, I thought that maybe if we talked with each other about what we thought was important in terms of acceptable fannish behavior we could . . . Hmmmm . . . not reach consensus, because I don't think there's a consensus to be reached. But I do think that maybe if we understand a little better what our flists (and the fans we are acquainted with to a lesser degree) feel is important in terms of fannish behavior then maybe the controversy over those few things we can't agree about wouldn't be as heated.
So, to that end, if you had to distill your ideas on what constitutes acceptable fannish behavior into three rules, what would they be? (Remember, these are your ideas about how fans should communicate and interact with each other rather than any other aspect of fandom.)

I don't have a lot of personal rules re: fannish behavior because for the most part my fannish experience has been extraordinarily positive. I've never gotten a flame before; no one has ever seriously hurt my feelings in a fannish interaction; fandom has been three and a half years of almost uninterrupted fun for me. I tend to not make rules about things until I have experienced them which accounts for what may seem the weirdness of this list.

| The missing package containing my CDData Magazine has finally arrived in my hand *does a little hyde-style dance*
And this ring also came with it.
I have to say hyde has always got great taste (okay, most of times = =). It's so pretty. Even though the size of the stone made it a bit hard to wear for a girl. Oh well, I'm still in love with it.
