From now on, this journal will become RL only. Fic will start being posted directly to paradox_fantasy, a writing archive I'll be sharing with chaineddove & doumeki. For now we're not going to move all the old stuff there (LJ doesn't allow backdated entries on comms and we don't want to spam the hell out of everyone's f-lists, so). Anyway, the fandom masterlist and the rules for the weekly challenge have been posted. The comm will probably be launched after blind_go reveals, so everyone go join! ♥

Also, I think I have posted about this before, but dynastic and I have created a comm for our Photoshop deeds! It's themafiahouse, and it's not open yet (we're busy taking over the world at the moment) but expect to see great stuff from us in the near future ♥

2 ägg
3 dl mjöl
6 dl mjölk
lite salt
lite smält smör

vispa ägg, ta i lite mjölk, vispa ut mjölet i det, späd med mjölk.
gärna stå och svälla i en timme.

...I couldn't find paper when I was talking to my mum, so I typed it up here. translated in case you're interested.

swedish pancakes

2 eggs
3 dl wheat flour (um. about 1 1/4 cup?)
6 dl milk (2 1/2 cups)
salt
some melted butter

whisk the eggs and add a bit of the milk. add flour and whisk out out into the eggs, then add the rest of the milk. (yo.) go wild with salt and butter. or not. um.
if you want, you can let it 'mature' for about an hour.
fry the pancakes in a bit of butter. (they'll be large and flat, not small and thick like american pancakes.)

my favourite toppings are whipped cream, jam, ice cream, or hazelnut spread. *____________* but you can also make crêpes with various fillings, mushroom stew being my absolute favourite but fried mince meat or ham and cucumber is very nice. you can also make cold pancake 'rolls' with smoked salmon and stuff to bring on a picnic.

Nineteen. I better get used to that.

Even if today was the bloodiest exam day the entire batch has ever experienced and even if Mum wasn't here, this birthday is one of the happiest I've ever celebrated.

Writing
Subrosa was actually rather good. As in "oh god no more please make it eeend but hey look this is actually kind of well-written" kind of good. If that makes sense. I tried to be ninja for this round. See if you can spot me!

I have learned a couple of valuable things while writing this fic. Like the fact that procrastination knows no limit. Actually, I already knew that, but I think reading fic for other fandoms which I don't even know just to put off writing is a new personal record. Looking at the bright side of it, I guess it's good to know that even when it comes to slacking off, there's always room for self-improvement.

Sick in bed today as well. I think for now I'll just watch some more Reborn and then possibly play on the Nintendo DS for a bit. Pokemon Diamond & Pearl = WIN. I just wish there was the option to travel to other regions after winning the League. Oh well.

haven't gained any weight (yay!), but haven't lost any either (woe). um, idek where to start from. so I'm going to start on my birthday. ehehe. >.> the best bit was how I ended the night; drinking midori, pms-ing, watching the news and bugging J-chan. that girl has to put up with a lot. ♥ the crazy lady from creative writing followed us to macbob where she proceeded to move our bags (to take our seats) and blow out the candles. so I moved our bags back and brought over candles from another table. I avoided blowing up in her face, but if she had commented on it that day, I would have given her a piece of my mind. in a very loud, obnoxious way. that woman just rubs me the wrong way. plus, she thinks she is the God of Writing. (yes, with the capitations) and nobody else is allowed to have an opinion. stupid old lady. die nao prz.

people were really surprised I wasn't getting shitfaced and popping one out since it was my 21st, but that's britain for you. :P

the day after we went out to celebrate my friend Gail's boyfriend's b-day (they are so awesome, I love them :3) I never really did celebrate my own because I was busy during the week, and basically all of my friends were busy during the weekend. so, meh. BUT. J-chan gave me a debenhams gift card. which I have been gazing at quizzically when she hasn't been looking. omg, it's embarrassing, but I don't know how to use it because I've never had one before. I'll probably end up making an arse out of myself when I try to. omg. maybe I can just keep it in a drawer of niceness. because it's pretty. :) eta: and Gail gave me fuzzy pink slippers. :3

was lazy during the weekend. am still hoping for fic.

yesterday I fell on my face in the library stairs. there were a lot of people around. they didn't really care about the fall itself, I don't think, but they looked at me in this way: O.o; when I started laughing my arse off at myself. well. at least I was amused. >.>

and on that note, I must get to an English lecture. about. um. this weird romance thingy I read yesterday. the author seemed nuts. good thing he's been dead for a couple hundred years already.

eta: (in another computer lab, lol) got a response email from the ITE tutor whom I emailed on friday morning that he was very sorry, but the ITE organization (ie Scotland) requires an uninterrupted period of study. so no study abroad. erg. but I sent an email back to thank him for answering anyway. actually, I'm not as depressed as I thought I would be, because I sort of knew it would end up like that. plus, this means that I am going to stick to my, um, ingenious plan of staying(for the most part) in Scotland until I graduate. my dad has actually talked about them coming over for Christmas next year (maybe), so if I get a proper apartment by then it could actually happen. :) and I called this home service company to apply for a job, and the strange man I talked to said he was going to send me an 'application pack', which sounds very ominous. anyway, it should arrive any day now, and it would be a really good job to get, because it's service based (basically taking care of old and/or disabled people :3 I quite like doing that, actually. I didn't think I would enjoy it as much as I have so far. like, the problems I have had have been with other people working there, not with the 'customers'.) and... it might mean that I get to drive. I REALLY WANT TO, OMG. *sighs* no, it's probably not that easy to get a job. even though I'm not particularly picky with anything other than the salary.

and, yesterday when I was paying my rent, they needed a security code for the card. O.o not my password, a security code. it was very strange. the lady had to call someone and ask what it was. it was very confusing. they did say that that had never happened before though. idk. lol, but my card is working in the cash machines at the uni now, which is good.

eta2: the weather is really the epitome of Scottish weather today. aka; rainy. but it's nice rainy with raindrops of a nice good size, and it's not pelting down either, and it's not windy. it's nice rain. I don't get why people are complaining so much. (this computer lab is really hot. idk what they've done to the heating in here, but I am going to be so cold when I get to my next class. erg) so obviously I stopped to take some pictures. ;) I am so predictable.

To go home, or not.

For one, I haven't been home since Christmas last year, and yeah, I'm missing my family and our house and cable TV, awesome DVD player and internet all day long. Especially now that my sister won a shiny new DVD player from some contest she joined. I forgot what, I'm sorry, I know I'm a horrible sister T____T. I'll be able to watch my stack of DVDs that I haven't been able to watch because of my broken DVD-ROM and the lack of a functioning DVD player at my uncle's house. And of course, with me at home, I'll be able to take out my money from my bank account and take it with me when I come back here and open a new bank account.

On the other hand, with the tuition so so high, and basically everything costs a lot (especially here in UP), I really don't want to spend thousands of pesos on plane tickets for just a measly week of vacation. Probably less, because I don't know how long I'll be enrolling and, of course, the AME fair. (Speaking of which, I haven't yet told my parents about applying for AME. DX)

So. Undecided, still. :|

Thesis and NCPs and drug studies oh my.

It all seems <i>very</i> pointless really. Call me impatient but I seriously just want to get this over and done with. The only point I'm looking forward to next semester is board review.

I got my first choice elective by the way. It's just that the OR I got sent to isn't PGH (which would be so awesome) or even East Av but far, FAR away in freaking Los Baños. Why does the Nursing Department LOVE sending me away for long periods of time? WHY always to the new, experimental places? If this turns out to be a hospital like JPR...

..I guess that shows how much I really <i>love</i> Nursing, eh? :) Lord, give me the patience and help me get back that motivation which so fueled me in first year.

~ Guys I'm going to take a small break until work aka RL has calmed down a bit. It's taking up all my time and energy right now. Don't know for how long it will be, I'm guessing a week or something like that.
