Hey!
I really want to get this community up and going again!
So, POST, POST, POST!! Please try to keep your posts Circle K related. :)
So, I went to the Romeo Key Club meeting last Thursday. I talked with their Faculty Advisor to see if they would be interested in helping me plan a car wash that would take place in a couple weeks. She seemed really excited about it!
Tomorrow I'm going to the Utica-Shelby Twp. Kiwanis meeting and then going to the Romeo Key Club meeting again. At the KC meeting, I'm going to be talking a little about me and Circle K. I'm getting kind of nervous...
Also on May 21st is Relay for Life at the track at Powell Middle School. I want to do all 24 hours. If you don't know what Relay for Life is, basically you walk around the track for 24 hours. You don't have to do 24 hours, you can do as many or as little as you want. It starts at 10 am on the 21st and is over at 10 am on the 22nd. I know that I'll be there for four hours at least, with my sister. But I'm going to see if my mom will take me up there around 10 so that I can do the whole 24 hours. I'd like to have someone to walk with me at night...so if you're in the area and want to come out, let me know. either reply to this or catch me on aim. You can also call me if ya want. 586-677-1856
I suppose that's all I have to say for right now! Don't forget, you can do community service hours over the summer, just send them to Emilie at ecadmus@adrian.edu
:-D |

Okay, so how proud am I of us? We rock! I just want to congratulate Anna and Tracie on their awards and to the whole club for making this year one of this best in years. We totally rocked it out...1232.5 service hours! That is amazing! I am so proud of us and how far we have come and I know we will strive to be even better than we already are next year. I am very proud to be part of this organization with some of the best friends and some of the most committed and outstanding people I have ever known. I love all you guys! |

| | Starry, Starry Night-Josh Groban | ] | First to get this off my chest, FLTC. I had a super time. I know that some others did as well. I also know that there were people who didn't have as much fun. honestly, I don't know what to say to those people.
Um, here goes. I don't mean to be a bitch, but there are some things that need to be said. Even if I wasn't on the e-board, i would be saying these things. Some of you i noticed had some major problems with Tifanie. That's fine...but don't be disrespectful right to her face. While you're representing Adrian. It only makes us look worse than some other clubs already see us. There were a few things that were said to Tifanie, particularly after the scavenger hunt, that did not make me proud of you guys. I am not going to mention any names, you should know who you are. And if you'd like to talk about, that's fine. you know where to find me. The other thing that bothered me was the absolute crankiness. You knew going into this that you wouldn't be getting that much sleep. But that's no excuse to be mean towards other people. Miranda was nice enough to drive both there AND back. And a couple of you showed your gratitude for that really crappily. The one other thing that i wanted to mention was this. I know that some of our returning members have and do say things about other clubs. such as how snotty they may be. But that does not mean that you take that attitude with you to a District Event. The whole idea of FLTC is for members of other clubs than your own to join together and bond. I didn't see that with many of the Adrian Circle K'ers. I'm not trying to pick on just Adrian, I know that other clubs were uppety and all that. But acting the way some of you did just gave them further reason. Next time, just be the bigger person and be polite to them. Try to get to know them. They're not all bad...
So that's that. If you've got problems with what i've said, that's fine. I'm not really angry with any of you as anna. I'm more angry with the way some of you represented our club. Ok, we're done with that subject now.
Inductions: They are this Thursday at 7 pm in Arrington B. New members bring desserts and returning members, bring beverages and plates and such. We have 12 people being inducted. This is going to be business casual. please no jeans. Also, this is a serious affair, so please don't be goofing off. We will more than likely have guests from other clubs in our district, so please show them that we can be "civilized" and serious. If you have any questions about inductions, please let me know
I think that's it... |

| | None | ] | OK so i have not updated in quite a while, so I will now... well as a club we have over $800 dollars in our account as of right now, but I am in the process of sending the dues out, with all of our member information, so that all of you new people can become members. When all is said and done we won't have that much $ in our account, but we will have some. I still need $ from some of you, you know who you are, for dues, F.L.T.C., and T-shirt $. After the meeting tonight, I will be asking all of you people who owe me $ to stay behind for a couple of minutes, just to quickly talk to you about payment plans. If you don't stay, I will call you sometime next week to talk to you. Don't worry if you cannot afford it now, we will discuss this. Also as a club we are doing the phonathon to raise $, but I have to get something off of my chest about it, here it goes... As the treasurer, not as miranda, I am very disappointed in our club, because only about 4 or 5 of us out of like 25 are involved. This was a very easy way to make a nice amount of $ if we all had been involved. I calculated it up and with 5 of us, we are making about $200, imagine how much it would of been w/25 of us!! I understand that you all are busy w/other things in your life, but so are the rest of us, and Corey, the person in charge, was very laid back about it, you could have only worked an hour once a week and she would have been fine with that, and so would have I. It was only 3 weeks long, every mon-thurs 6-9, and you could have worked on any day at any time. Anyway, I also have to apologize for myself. I have been a poor treasurer this year, and I regret how our fundraisers have been going. Unfortunatly, as some of you have probably noticed, we have not started ant fundraisers, and this is all my fault and I am really sorry for this. I will try my hardest to get a move on with the fundraising in the future, my hope is to get the pop can fundraiser going soon. and we WILL be starting the sucker fundraiser when we return from break. Anyway I think that is it for now, See you all tonight. |

Hey everyone!
I'm going to be "spiffing up" the journal. And then I'm going to e-mail the District and tell them that our website needs to be changed from what it is now, to this one. so this journal is going to end up being super cool! and i'm going to be putting pictures up of all the members. Their name, year, major, where you're from, high school you graduated from, other organizations you are in, your favorite movie, why they joined circle k, a funny memory of circle k, and just anything else that you want to say! so yeah...if you happen to have a picture of yourself on your computer, please email it to me!
i'm going to start with the e-board first!
if you guys have any contributions as to how we can make this a better "website" than UofM's, let me know! |

hey all you Circle K'ers!
How's it going? not too bad here. I'm sick though which sucks. Lots of things have been going on since I last updated.
~The blood drive was a success! there were five people from Circle K who gave blood. Some of us didn't have the greatest experience *hugs tracie* but overall, it went pretty well.
~Last Saturday morning, the 16th, we were supposed to go to the HOPE Center to help with their Serenity Garden but it was cancelled due to the rain. I know people other than me were silently cheering at not having to be up so early.
~Saturday evening was our first social event of the month. We carved pumpkins. It was a ton of fun:-D We ended up donating the pumpkins to Lynwood Manor so instead of social hours, we got service hours. The people at Lynwood Manor really appreciated them. good work on the pumpkins guys:) they were awesome!!
~Yesterday four of us went to the Salvation Army to help out with their dinner. Sara told us the wrong time. They serve dinner from 4-5 so they'd like us to get there around 3:45, not 4:45 like we did yesterday...but that's alright. they appreciated our help nonetheless. We are going to be going every Monday and Wednesday. Except for Monday of next week and the first Monday of every month. So if you are free, let us know:)
~These are some of the events that are coming up soon:
*Salvation Army Dinner-tomorrow Wednesday, October 20th(we've already got enough people for that) *Davis Hall Social-Costume Making Party-this Thursday after the meeting, October 21st. We'll all trek over to Davis together after the meeting. Bring things that you can make a costume out of. These are the categories: Lord of the Rings Characters, Animals, or Playboy bunnies for Thatcher's Hugh Hefner. I need one more bunny:) *On Saturday morning at 10:30 am, the Trick-Or-Can Committee will be delivering flyers. if you're not on the committee and are free for a few hours Saturday morning and would like to help, let me know. *Next Wednesday we will be going to the Salvation Army to help out with dinner again. We will need 4-6 people. *Next Saturday, October 30th is Trick-Or-Can. The city of Adrian will start Trick-Or-Treating around 6ish. We will meet over at Ridge no later than 5:30. Then we will break off into our groups(which I'm still forming) and start Trick-Or-Canning. It will go until dark which is about 8 or 8:30.
So far, in terms of T-O-C groups i have this: Group 1: Animals Leader: Sara Amanda Sherwood Emilie Cadmus
Group 2: Lord of the Rings Leader: Tracie Leitner Anna Elston Tommy Moore
Group 3: Lord of the Rings Leader: Joel Goetz Miranda Preuss Bob Hanrahan
Group 4: Playboy... Leader: Thatcher Goetz Emily Dye Anita Wuoti
these people still need to be put in a group: Heather Smith, Jessica Hall, Dre Gilbert, and Natalie Perfetto. I need at least one volunteer to stay behind at Ridge with a Drop Box for at least an hour. Let me know if you're interested.
There are a few other things that i need to update you on... Meeting Places for the rest of the semester: October 21st-Mahan 102 October 28th-Hickman Board Room November 4th-Arrington B November 11th-Arrington B November 18th-Arrington B December 2nd-Arrington B December 9th-Arrington B WINTER BREAK!! First meeting of second semester: January 13th-Arrington B
for those of you who signed up to go to FLTC, the money is due at the meeting this week. $32.50 is what is due. Dues($40) are due next week:)
I think that's all i've got for you for now. if there is anything else, i'll be sure to let you know:) |

| | stupid loud ppl in the hallway | ] | Things have been really fun the past couple days!! We found out that on Thursday we made over $200 with Peanut Day. and we made a whole lot Friday too!! It's been mucho fun!! On Friday when I was standing with Bob, this guy pulls up and has a digital camera in his hand. There are campaign signs all in his windows and in the back seat. So I give him some peanuts and he gave me some change and then proceeds to take my picture telling me that he is going to China next week and is going to "make me famous in china." right...
After 5, I switched and went to the other corner with Melissa. We saw some interesting characters. And then Sarah Otto drove by and we threw a whole bunch of peanuts in her car!! it was fun.
Today was the Kiwanis/Rotary/Civitan/Lions Softball game. Miranda, Melissa, Tracie, Sara and I all went in support of the Kiwanians. Miranda was the only one who played. It was lots of fun!! Kiwanis lost the first game 10-7 to the Rotary Club. We had to leave before the second game against Civitan was done. While sitting in the bleachers between games, the topic of my love life once again came up...tracie is trying to figure out who my other crush is and i'm not telling. so she says "bob" meaning bob h.(not kiwanis bob) but Kiwanis Bob was sitting behind us and tracie says to him "Anna has a crush on you Bob" i about died. But then HE said "Well, at least you know she has good taste" i was so red i could feel it. but i should be used to being embarrassed when i'm with tracie.
In other news, the E-board is thinking of changing the meeting dates to Thursdays at 8:30 instead of Wednesdays. What do you all think?? Would Thursdays work better?? I'll let everyone know before the meeting this week whether it's been changed to Thursday or not.
Well, i believe that's all i have to say! hope you all had a glorious weekend and have fun with another week of classes!! |

| | oldies | ] | Hello Hello Hello!!
Last night was our first official meeting!! I think that it went really well. in case you didn't get the e-mail, here are the minutes from last night:
We went bowling last night which was a lot of fun! Thatcher is the funniest person to bowl with! Every time he threw the ball down the lane i thought he was going to fall...he slid all over the place. The best part of the evening though was this: We were sitting at the table as thatcher was going up to bowl. I look up in time to see the bowl barreling down the lane and the little thing that drops the pins is still down!! The ball smashed into it and came slowly rolling back towards us. The bowling alley guy came and got it...it was quite funny! Miranda got the bowling pin as she had the highest score. She got a 140!! Crazy! My highest score was only a 97...:\ i'm not the best bowler...
Today was Peanut Day. Thatcher, Jen and I arrived at Aco around 4. Melissa had already been there for an hour. So the four of us got our cool vests and our awesome hats!! Then we went and stood at the corner of Maumee and US 223 to collect money and hand out peanuts. Me and Mel got a ton of money. including some change that was THROWN, i repeat THROWN at me. This lady comes up and yells "you guys are in a really bad spot" and threw a handful of change out the window at me...i didn't risk my life by going into traffic to pick it up...But it was really good. Tomorrow there will be people volunteering again! I'll be there for two hours again.
Well, I'm off to an e-board meeting so have a great night everyone!! |

Hope things are going really great for you all! They are for me. I'm busy, but that's ok, at least I'm not always bored. Anyway, I've been working on a directory for the club. This is what I have so far...
( click here to see the directory )
if there is something wrong with the info I have or there is a different email address you have that you want me to use, let me know. Also if you have aim, give me your screen name that way you can IM me whenever you have questions. Or just so we can chat! The one other thing that I'd like to have is your birthday.
This Wednesday the 22nd at 8:30 pm in the Alumni Skybox is our next meeting. The first official meeting of the year!! isn't that exciting?? of course it is! After the meeting we're going to be going bowling(so i can beat tommy again) so if you'd like to join us, bring at least ten dollars with you to the meeting. We'll be carpooling but if you do have a car, we can use all the help we can get. We'll give you directions at the meeting wednesday.
Also, the dates for all meetings are going to be Wednesdays at 8:30 pm in the Alumni Skybox(the middle one). I hope to see lots of you there this wednesday. and like always, if you have any questions, don't hesitate to e-mail me or call me. X3608 |

| | the fans blowing | ] | Hello all you Adrian Circle K'ers!!!! I hope you all had a great weekend, I know mine was blah, but I was sick for most of it. Anyway I just organized myself, and all the treasurer's stuff, and I have the checkbook up to date and balanced finally-YAY
When we first started this year off we had $115.01 in our account, and we now have $225.09 in it with $176 more being put in either tomorrow or Tuesday!!! This is a good thing, we have yet to fall below our starting balance, and by buying an Adrian College Circle K T-shirt you will be putting more $ into the account!! Also this year we have lots of fundraisers planned with our biggest one being discount cards, which should bring in a nice profit if we all help out and sell at least 10!!! This year can be a great year $ wise as long as we all help out and stay on the same page. I'm very excited for the coming year and I know the rest of the E-board is too. So lets put all the energy that we have (and we have A LOT of energy) to making this one of the best years for Circle K that there's been in a while!! Don't forget the meeting Wednesday night @ 8:30 in the Alumni Sky-box in Ridge. We hope to see you all there. |
