Hi! First of all, welcome to ![[info]](http://l-stat.livejournal.com/img/community.gif){kind=small} abyss_art! This community was brought to life by ![[info]](http://l-stat.livejournal.com/img/userinfo.gif){kind=small} little_ribbon but will hopefully be enjoyed by many people. :)What is abyss_art? Well, we are a fun community for sharing Tales of the Abyss-related art! Every type of art you can think of will be welcome: fanart, manips, sketches, manga, cosplay photos, and even doujinshi!Basically, we provide a friendly enviroment for everyone to share art. I'm aware that at this moment, that will be a very difficult task but I'm willing to try anyway. For now, I would like to request that all entries posted in abyss_art will be locked (visible to members only!) to avoid abuse. The idea is that by joining the community, you agree to all the rules - hopefully a good way to keep everyone happy.I would really love to have some polls in the future! :) I think that might be the best way for all the members to have their say, and hopefully find a solution that works for everyone. Please remember that the rules aren't there to spoil anyone's fun! They are there to protect the artwork and the people sharing it. If you think I am being unreasonable or don't agree with something - please don't join this community, but contact me ( little_ribbon) and maybe we can work something out. I can't promise anything, but there's no harm in trying. :) |

These are the rules that are exclusive to abyss_art! By joining this community, you are agreeing to these rules! If you do something naughty, you will be warned ONCE ... AFTER THAT YOU WILL BE BANNED. I hope that is clear. ^^;☆ When sharing doujinshi scans or scanlation, please provide the name of the artist/circle and encourage people to buy the doujin if they really like it! If you are not sure what the artist's name is, you can always post a picture of the cover art and someone who can read Japanese will be able to help you. I will include links and tips on how to buy doujinshi online in the userinfo soon. :) ☆ It is not allowed to post fanart that doesn't belong to you! That means everything you didn't scan, draw or make yourself. ^^; If you really want to share something, please make sure you have permission first. :) ☆ Like I mentioned before, please lock all entries you make to abyss_art so only members can see them. Thank you! ;)☆ By joining abyss_art you are agreeing not to use any of the art posted here for making icons or graphics! That is unless permission has CLEARLY been given by the artist!I know this is a pretty strict rule, but I feel that it is necessary to protect the art posted here from abuse. I have nothing against people using the doujinshi they own for making icons or graphics (IT IS YOURS! I can't stop you!) - but if you are going to join this community please make sure you have given credit to the artists. Too often people simply take an icon made by someone else and claim they have made it themselves - and very often the "thief" will get credit instead of the person who originally made it! I hope that by explaining this, I don't come across as being too unfair. :) I am going to ask artemis30, maiki and kimivalkyrie if I can put the Japanese requests for permission to use icons they have wonderfully provided us over at talesoftheabyss on our userinfo. I would also love to have a post in the community that deals with contacting Japanese artists.☆ When requesting for uploads, please visit this thread (coming soon!). To those who are willing to share files, please check that place as well. Before you ask, please browse the community to make sure it isn't already uploaded. :) Update/Important Note: ALL requests should be done in the request thread! Do not make new topics. Please also state your preferred host for people to upload your requests. :) ☆ orphen has made a wonderful post explaining how to buy doujinshi! Thank you! ♥☆ COMMENT!! Please comment when you have enjoyed someone's artwork or downloaded a doujinshi - it's a way of showing gratitude!
