| | Panic! At the disco - But it's better if you do | ] | We were thinking the other day, if a gay couple get married, what is the accepted thing to change their names to. That is assuming they do change their names, of course.
Because generally, when a straight couple get married, the woman will take the man's surname, but if there are two men or two women, what do they do?
Do they just go for a double-barreled surname, or just pick the best surname to share? What if they can't agree?
So we came up with a theory that the only reason straight married couples share the same name is so that they have something in common. Gay married couples, however, already have something in common and so perhaps they simply switch names! Makes peerfect sense.
Yup, that was our arbitrary pondering for the day. ^^ |
