What is the make out room?
We believe that the best way to enjoy the affects of Absinthe are sharing them with someone special (or not so special, but drunk enough to make out with you). To that end we will have several very comfy rooms in which to ensconce yourself in the embrace of someone special (or not so special if you are drunk enough).

the place where the underground parties were held is quite a salacious, happening spot.

Can't say that I've ever done much during those parties, but the other ones held there... HOO BOY! (NYE is coming up...)

Sounds intriguing, but for two problems. First, their menu is pretty vague. I hope they have absinthes other than just Tabu available. It would be nice if they put up their actual menu and prices.

But worse, the club's reviews on Yelp are atrocious. Seventy-one reviews, and of those, 30 gave Whisper the lowest possible rating. Not encouraging. Neither is the club's website or the pictures on it:

"bOObs", eh? Klassy.

eh, new venue - not the club itself. These tend to be very swank affairs. The absinthe parties have generally carried 95% of the absinthes produced. Very much a tasting party.

Not sure about the menu here, though, since this will be a legal party instead of underground like in the past.

Yeah...get the feeling that this is an example of the blind leading the blind? And I hope they sterilize that "make-out room" at least every hour.

Given that the web page is exactly the same as what was posted for the Sinfusion absinthe event/party, I'm guessing Paul's managed to rebuild/re-acquire his inventory after that unfortunate encounter with the SFPD, a few months ago.

The Sinfusion parties were okay in that they were held in an interesting place (not so, the 12/28 event - I don't like that space at all), did a moderately-good job of keeping the frat-boys out by enforcing a dress code (although they still cheerfully lit sugar upon request at one of the bars, *sigh*) and offered a chance for a person to try a range of absinthes without committing to an entire bottle.

However, this event seems to be emphasizing what I didn't like about the Sinfusion parties - trying too hard to push the 'panty remover' bit (*shudder*) and such. And if they can't give me a clear idea of what's going to be available, I'm not going to risk a Friday evening on the event. I don't want to end up stuck at a place where all that's on offer is Tabu, KOSG and La Fee...

I doubt the proprietors would approve (*grin*), but I did see people bringing in the occasional hipflask of something from their own stashes to the Sinfusion events.

As I said, the ambiance of the previous locale was pretty nice, but as the prices for the good stuff could get a bit steep ($12 for a *very* chintzy pour of Jade!) I can understand why some folks might try sneaking in their own to extend the evening without breaking the bank...
