New in town, looking for some DnD players...
Hi folks, I just moved here about a month ago, and unfortunately I haven't made any close friends yet. I'm 21, just graduated from a small, liberal arts, state college in New York, and I'm friendly, polite, honest, creative, and funny.

I was hoping to bond over tabletop roleplaying, so I'd love to find a small group of DnD players, although I'd be up for almost any tabletop, dice and paper RPG. My original game was the WoW tabletop, and I also like the Star Wars RPG. But I'd love to try something new as well.

So, if you need or would like another party member, I'd love to join an existing group. I live in NE Alb. and I can go somewhere like a cafe (Flying Star?) or bookstore to meet you for the first time.

    Hope this finds you well,

    -Robert

    Hiya
So, I know this isn't an add_me community, but I figure this is the community I'd like to meet more from so... Add me. I play many different types of games (mainly Warcraft and party/board games at the moment.) And I'd like to find some people who maybe could come play with my fiance and I. So, add me and we can keep in touch.

This has been going on for a while, but I don't know how much the word is out. It's a nice laid-back time, playing various games. THE POPULOUS HAS BEEN INFORMED!

    Vampires, LARPing, Dracula, funnel cake…

It's all in my funny book about Dracula and vampires in history and culture -- Sundays with Vlad (www.vladlives.com ).  I go LARPing in Louisville with the Cam, and I give the story a funny but respectful treatment, while completely outing myself as a "Friend of Gygax."  We also learn how Vlad Dracula may have been meaner and crazier than Courtney Love during an intervention... but the guy was smeared.

Check out the book, or come by my blog and say hello (http://paulbibeau.livejournal.com).

    2 questions
    1) As someone new in town, I have no idea where there are gaming stores. What local gaming stores deserve my amazing business?

2)Are any Camarilla people on here? I got someone's info at Bubonicon but promptly lost it.

Have Your Say About The Banning Of Manhunt 2 In Britain!
I'm sure that lots of people have been disappointed by the BBFC's decision to ban manhunt 2 from being sold in Britain.

Anyone that has been affected by this decision, or is simply annoyed by this, have your say by emailing the BBFC. I received a quick reply from them, so don't hesitate to contact them addressing your concerns.

You will hopefully email them if you don't like being treated like a baby, and think that adults should have the right ot make their own decisions. I emphasised this point in my emails to them.

    The email address is: contact_the_bbfc@bbfc.co.uk

    Bubonicon LARP
Hey all, I was just snooping around LJ's and thought that this particular group might be interested in knowing about the local chapters of the Camarilla and the events that we will be holding at Bubonicon. If you are interested, the information is behind the cut. We are always on the look out for new players!

    Albuquerque Gamers Wanted
    Greetings,

I am looking to start a guild of locals for online gaming. I am looking for people in the local area, who visit from time to time or those willing and able to travel to various meeting venues. I would like to build a guild and friendships with people I can actually meet, enjoy food, drink and strategize in person with.

The guilds main focus would be an MMO but would greatly welcome some old school paper and dice games. I am currently looking at Vanguard “Saga of Heroes” as the guilds main focus but open to suggestions. My travels have lead to extensive experience with NeverWinter Nights (Old AOL MMO), Ultima Online, EverQuest, EverQuest II, World of WarCraft, D&D and EVE Online.

The plan is to build from the ground up from our name, to our web site and forums to our rules, charter and governing style. Everyone willing would be involved, heard and ultimately an influence on your guild.

    We will have a very unique and attractive web site which will include but not limited to;

    flash movies
    member populate news
    real time chat
photo and screen shots (upload & stored directly to our site)
    forums

Suggestions, additional content and help are welcome

If interested let me know via albgamers@comcast.net or here

    gate
You have Baldur’s Gate listed as an interest, so the message I have brought, shall not be, I consider, out of keeping with the subject of this community. I have come here to invite any one who has an interest in Baldur’s Gate, to my community a_baldurs_gate; whosoever will go there shall find the specific subjects of Baldur’s Gate, high fantasy, Philip Athans etc. We shall discuss Athan’s published novel, and the possibility of making a combined effort to write our own version. Salutations to you all.

    A site about role-players (fiction)
This is an ongoing story about a group of role-players. They aren't from your area, but the story might still be interesting to you. We've all known people just like the main character, Joe, and I'm sure some of us have had Joe-like moments. If you're interested, check http://www.gamer-joe.com

Secondary Gaming Community (For the underprivilaged :P)
I and my fiancee while seeking out decent and adventerous roleplayers here have made our own community for the masses that are in santa fe and the closely surrounding areas [info]santafegaming is the community I created to provide both date settings and other in-town/out-town information for everything from "at home" game tournaments (all night gaming sessions or lan parties provided by responsible homes) to overnight/wee hours of the morning tabletop (White Wolf/Marvel/BESM/GURPS/Home Brew you name it) games and other 'by the people, for the people' provided gaming constructs.

This gaming community is available and open to the public (at least it should be o_o;) and I'll be keeping careful maintainance and watch over it to provide as much up to date information about things happening here in the "City Different" as much as possible. At current in our home (read : apartment) we have three available and capable DMs, two of whome are expert in home-brew concotion tabletops and one (me :P) who is willing to get down and dirty into bookwork with systems by White Wolf, D&D and etc. (If I don't know a system and you can provide materials for me to read up and brush up on game rules I can create a game for it given a little time).

All three of us are avid computer, console and tabletop gamers, we can accomidate for lan parties (depending on the amount of people involved) fighter games and otherwise, most 'parties' we might have are BYOB (Bring your own bed/beverage) and snacks are provided only upon request and conjunction planning. If you're interested in either helping to host games or be part of the current gaming scene, by all means drop by and join the community!

    An introduction
    Greetings all,

Been living in New Mexico for close to 6 years now and have been wanting to get back into the gaming scene after a rather long Hiatus. If any of you have a gameboy advance or nintendo DS drop me a line. I've been trying to find someone to link with and test my Advance Wars 2/Dual Strike skills.

Asside from that greetings to all and happy gaming!
