Seeking Strange Plant ID
I've just joined this community and haven't been able to find any rules against "What's My Plant?" posts, so I hope I'm not violating community etiquette here.
This (the plant in the foreground, not the cannas behind it) was a volunteer in a potted orange tree a friend gave me this past spring. It has a succulent appearance, grows fast, and is currently about two feet tall. I live in New Orleans and the plant is thriving here, though I have no way of knowing where the tree it "hitchhiked" in came from. It constantly puts out dozens of tiny seedlings, which are very shallow-rooted and take a long time to become established. Can anyone ID it?
