Normally I don't like to talk about my real life items because I just feel like it should be kept separate from my online presence, that and I really don't feel the desire to be venting out frustrations of my life to general strangers over the internet. But it's been a few months and I know I've been absolutely unresponsive lately, so I'll go ahead and clue you all in.
Abian has been on indefinite hiatus because my job is currently driving me crazy.
There, that's all there is to it.
This has been the first time I think I've ever been having to work 40-hours a week, and it's been driving me insane. I'm used to having a lot of free time, usually working part-time jobs and having 3~4 days a week off to do the things that I want to do with my own time. Back when I first started this comic, I think I was working 15, mebbe 20 hours a week. I had plenty of time to just sit and draw and be content. Then *long list of things that happened to me personally that had a huge financial impact* happened, I had to move, I had -no- job, I was stressed by that for a long while, I finally got a job but it had no hours, but I -really- needed the money, and now that I finally have the hours available I have the desperate need to continue to save up money to try and get myself back to where I was before this initial crash happened. This keeps me from going to my boss and saying "Hey, um, the hours are great and all, but could I at least work 32 instead of 40?"
Anyway, on top of the fact that I'm working 40-hours a week, my work day begins at 2AM and goes until about 11AM. I'm someone who has a social life in the evening, so in order to get my schedule to work out, I literally have to sleep between 11am - 7pm or else I'll never see -anyone- and be able to hang out with people -ever-. Unfortunately I also have a few other things that I need to go/people ask me to do that happen somewhere between 2pm and 4pm, so if you stop and think about how that all falls together... well, my sleeping schedule is divided up and weird, my entire social life takes place within the couple of hours between my fiance getting out of work and before everyone else I hang out with goes to bed, at which point I go and fry donuts for a full work day, and then I have to come home and attempt to get some sleep before repeating the entire process.
Not a lot of time in there for sanity and Abian.
So, I haven't had much time to update, and because of that it's been really hard to keep up with checking emails and LJ messages and the guest book. There's only so many messages of "Hey, how are you doing, miss Abian" that one can take before one starts going "You know, I really miss it too, but I can't do anything about it right now :( " and it's got me somewhat avoiding messages right now.
The *good* news is that they're going to move me from a 2am shift to a 5am shift, which..... might actually somehow help a little. I don't know yet, and I'll still be working 40-hours, and I'll still be doing a 2am shift here and there, but we'll see how it goes.
Anyway, that's news from me. Abian still on hiatus, no I haven't forgotten about it, yes, I miss it to, yes I'd like to get back to it but I don't know when that will be just yet. Major apologies to all of you who have to put up with this, I'm sorry for letting you down but at the same time it's the least I can do to keep myself sane.

Been busy with work/assistant directing for my sis-in-laws play/and a couple of other projects as well, so it's no wonder Abian suddenly slowed to barely a crawl. :/ Bad timing, I know, I really do apologize. Just wanted to let people know why it's been taking so long to update. Basically - busy. |

I still don't like the feeling that I'm putting Abian on the back burner, but at least these days, now that I have a job and other things, I feel like I have more of an excuse, where as a while ago I just felt like it was happening because I was lazy. >_>
Anyway, a little project came up that I was trying to get through as quick as possible, hence there was a lack of Abian updates because my attention was fully fixed elsewhere. I just managed to complete that project last night, so it should be clear for the comic again for a bit. *crosses fingers* |

One of my readers has figured out Enlightenment. :3 He figured it out after going over the first fourteen books a couple of times *he hasn't read anything of book 15 yet*.
Waiting to see if anyone else picks it up before Simon does.
