Snow

Soft, cold laciness
cloaking winter bare branches
muffling the world
sunset splashed snow

moon is bright
a handful of fallen stars
guiding my way

whiteness, lights, sparkling
diamonds falling
pleasure so bright
grasping the stars
then
tumbling, tumbling
                 but not alone
                     never alone
                        when I fly
             with you

dark skies
quiet
strokes of light
painting the sky
as the world awakes

crystal drops
spotting crimson leaves
orange and yellow
rays of a waning year

world preparing for a nap
to begin again
darkness falls
blessing the light

moon shines
night dark clouds
stars glitter
as the world wheels

crisping leaves
dancing in the chill wind
among death is life

The moon, a single pearl hanging in the ether, pale reflections in a glass pond
Mists twine through the woods
Crickets chirp
as the summer night envelopes the lovers

Title: Lucky Charms
Author: Alexandrine of Ravynstone Abbey (The Annex)
Fandom: InuYasha
Genre: Humor, Parody, Crack!Fic
Rating: T for potty humor, language, Inu's mouth.
Characters: Jaken and the cast of InuYasha, living and dead.
Notes: For inuhanyounikkie, from a comment thread from a while back.  Jaken is chased for his um charms by the cast.  Abuse of little green men as well as parodying the Lucky Charms commercials.  Also written for St. Patrick's Day. Rife with fandom clichés. And also featuring a stripping Jaken.  No really he strips. I had such trouble ending this and had a bolt out of the blue. Apologies for being LATE [almost a year!]

Light spilled out onto the wet street, yellow squares dueling with yellow circles cast by the bright street lamps marching up the street in an orderly fashion.

She paused before the ornate doors, her bodyguard bringing up the rear. She straightened her shoulders, and reached for the door handle. A pull, and she entered into the lair of her quarry. Standing just inside the doorway, she lowered the hood of her cloak, then untied the ribbons, handing the garment to her bodyguard. Holding up her skirts, she dodged various people as she stalked her target, sitting on the mezzanine above the bar, ignoring the admiring glances from men and even a few women, while her bodyguard, carrying a rather ugly sword kept the admirers away with hard glances and out right glares.

An extra lift of the skirts and she climbed the wide set of stairs, carpeted down the middle with a rich rug, held in place by polished brass rods. She dropped her skirts, smoothed out non-existent wrinkles and weaved her way around the tables filled with richly dressed patrons, well above the holloi polloi below. He was at a table, ignorant of Laelia's approach.and close to a balcony for easy access. A well-dressed woman was giggling in his lap as Laelia approached the table. She paused, pulled out a chair, and gracefully arranged herself to await her quarry's notice. The woman in his lap saw Laelia first as she pulled away from kissing the man.

technoPHILIA

Or, The TFs as a Boy Band.

They perform as holos.  The fangirls have NO CLUE that they are robots in disguise.  In between Battles of the Bands and festivals, tours and concerts, the Autobots and Decepticons duke it out for control on this tiny little planet called Earth.

This is definitely AU with tweaks to timelines and trying to keep them in character or as close as possible.

Brought to you by [info]capslock_tf and my brain. ;)

I'm going to be very ambitious and claim Bluestreak, using the fic100 theme table, though I won't be following all the rules of the comm.

Will be writing in the G1 continuity.

Read Dust Friday, having started it at 8:30am and finishing up at 6pm [work intervened].  Simply had to finish the story, early bedtime and housecleaning be damned. ;)

I really enjoyed the book.  It grabbed me from the first few pages, and I really love the worldbuilding and the details.  Perceval and Rien were lovely characters.

I love books with subtle details and an interesting world in the background, and the world of Dust is as much a character in the book (first in a trilogy) as the main characters.

I would definitely recommend it if you're looking for something fresh and interesting to read.  Combines science and religion and fantastical creations and all on a crippled generation ship orbiting a dying binary star system.

I definitely would re-read it again, and I look forward to entering the world of Dust again.
