This is a location I'd very much like to visit. A whole city stopped dead in its tracks. You got some great shots.

Pripyat, is an abandoned city in the zone of alienation in northern Ukraine, Kiev Oblast, near the border with Belarus. It was home to the Chernobyl Nuclear Power Plant workers. The city was abandoned in 1986 following the Chernobyl disaster. Its population had been around 50,000 prior to the accident.
The Chernobyl disaster was a nuclear reactor accident in the Chernobyl Nuclear Power Plant in the Soviet Union. It is considered to be the worst nuclear power plant disaster in history and the only level 7 instance on the International Nuclear Event Scale. It resulted in a severe release of radioactivity into the environment following a massive power excursion which destroyed the reactor. Two people died in the initial steam explosion, but most deaths from the accident were attributed to radiation.

I read a book recently about Chernobyl and the surrounding areas. It really left me feeling so sad for everyone affected. Your photos are haunting. Thanks for posting them for us.

No, the man on last photo has arrived with us.
Two old ladies live there. (About one hundred years old)

Is it a bad thing that I recognize some of these locations from Call of Duty 4.

Amazing work deviant_man! And great choice in film, Portra 160VC is my favourite print film.

That place makes me scared from six thousand miles away. My Ukranian co-worker tells me the place is open now, nothing stopping you going to see the area; can you really just go there without restrictions? Not a place I expect to visit.

Wow, great to see photos of the other rides in that small amusement park. What was that ride that wasn't the Ferris Wheel or Bumper Cars? It's hard to recognise by what's left.

I have a massive soft spot for anything Chernobyl related, to the point where I recognised almost every location.
I loved the ghosting effect, gave that corridor even more of an abandoned feel to it.
However, aren't those vehicles still "hot"?
