Renaissance dress... Do I look like Eowyn yet?

Thought I'd share pictures of this really pretty dress I got at the Renaissance Faire. I felt kind of elfish when I put it on, haha. :) It's handmade with drop sleeves and off-the-shoulder neckline. It's very light and comfortable. The dress is by Shantilly's Lace and the model is of course myself.

Just to give background for the point of this, I'm co-captain of a paintball team in which I'm leaving because the team and I are no longer on the same page and we're destined for different directions, and I've just been coming up with ideas for symbols/patches for a new team. Feel free to tell me which you like best. I'll hold off for now on which of these is my favorite.

This one is called "Watchtower"

This one is called "excalibur" (yes I know unoriginal it's 2:00 am, I'm tired)

This last one is called "Citadel"

As you'll notice these are all very dark, and that's kinda the look I want to go for. My current team's symbol is very bold and bright and I...just want to get away from that and them right now. I want to go with the night theme, and play with different kinds of blue. These are just the first of many I'll think of I'm sure. I'm in no rush, but I just want to start moving on something.

These are just a couple of pieces from a book i'm co-writing and have been working on for about 3-4 years, the first is one of the characters done in pencil then digitally altered, the second is a demon (that actually was cut unfortunately from the book) also done in pencil though some time ago. This one also has a digitally altered version, but the original (shown) is still creepier in its own regards. The third drawing, also pretty old, is actually the same character as in the first drawing.

I've noticed that this is being viewed as a place to show fantasy art that you're SELLING.
While I appreciate that you're showing the art, I would appreciate it if you would wait until someone asks if it's for sale to say anything. And even then, only say it to them.
Because you're giving off the impression that Fantasy Lovers is a STORE. And it's NOT.

I love that you share your work with us and hope that you continue to do so.
And, please, do not think that I'm angry - I'm not. I simply don't want people to feel like this is a "OHMYGOODNESS! I HAVE TO HAVE STUFF TO SELL IN ORDER TO POST HERE!" or a "Oh, am I expected to buy the art that's shown here?" kind of community.

This beautiful zodiac painting is chock full of symbolisim all centered around the Cardinal water sign: Cancer. A lovely maiden waides waist deep in a calm ocean on a clear moonlit night, raising a large crab over her head. She wears the sign for cancer on a pearl chain over her chest, and has a silver moon pendant hanging over her stomach. She is garbed in a yellow bodice over a white bell sleeved dress.

I'd like to share two new pieces, which were painted to display at a recent faire I attended. The first piece is called 'Oracle', and portrays a moon shadow priestess, with the ability to see into the future. Here she has obviously seen something quite startling. Painted on 16" x 20" canvas, she is available until 21st August 7pm PDT, you can bid on her from the link below.

The Second piece is called 'Safe Passage', and originally was intended to be a portrayal of a weary druid as he retired into the mists of time, but I painted the wounded warrior at the last minute.

Hello everyone. My name is Peter, and I am a fledgling fantasy artist.

Creating art is essentially a solitary activity, which makes it quite tough at times. Having taken some formal art classes before, I've found that it is a lot more fun when you are being encouraged and motivated by peers. A while ago, I looked around the web for a nurturing environment, but couldn't find any place that really suited my needs. Therefore, I decided to create one.

I would like to introduce Fantasity.com - (http://www.fantasity.com)

Fantasity is a site dedicated to Collaborative World Creation. It is a place for writers and artists to come together and craft a rich and elaborate fantasy world, populated with colorful characters and places. Starting with almost nothing - a city name, a vague history and description - the goal is nothing less than the collaborative creation of an entire world.

The site encourages collaboration and sharing, for the benefit of all. Fantasity is a place where creative people can hone their skills in a supportive environment. The goal is personal skill advancement in a nurturing community of people who share the same interests.

How can you contribute?

Artists - you can submit your original artwork to lend vision to the people, places, and stories of Sea Bluff.

Writers - you can submit stories set in Sea Bluff. You can add your own original characters and/or borrow characters created by others. You can create your own settings, and/or borrow places created by others. With each new story, shared characters and places become richer and more robust.

Recently an influx of people have come to my community rpg_quotes, this was a result of a post I made titled "Lembas Green is Hobbits!", which I took from a post made into my community by lederhosen

It more than doubled the community membership. So, in a small fit of gratitude I made this icon.

Hi ya

I'm new to this place but I love fantasy art, which is why I chose to join. I draw quite a bit of fantasy art (though most of it is currently scattered around my bedroom half finished) and recently got back into the swing of drawing again as I've currently been distracted by other work. I also have an American McGee's Alice piece that should be completed tomorrow and so I'm hoping to have that posted soon as it's better than my other work.

Along the lines of the Chibi Exalted wall paper I discovered I decided to make a chibi Exalt caste of one of my favorites, which didn't appear. thus... here it is...

I did this close to a year ago, and I figured I'd post it for fun. Feel free to tell me about how strangely disproportionate it is. It was really an experiment working with the "air brush" feature on my old Paint shop pro program.
