Summary: Matt is nervous about his first date with his boyfriend...
Disclaimer: I don't own them but I think this story is really cute. :D This story is dedicated to Manji9. She's rad.
Matt impatiently drummed his fingers on the steering wheel of his white and blue Ford Falcon Cobra as he navigated the route to his new boyfriend's house. His stomach tossed and turned as he gently pressed on the break and stopped at a red light; the suspense was beginning to kill him. He reached up and pulled down the visor, looking at his reflection in the mirror.
The reflection that stared back at Matt didn't ease his nerves as his eyes met with his slightly fuzzy brown hair, an Affliction, and his aviators. For some reason he was still not satisfied with his outfit even though he had changed it at least twelve times while feeling the need to continuously consulted a growlingly frustrated rhythm guitarist. Zacky wasn't very patient when it came to fashion or indecisiveness. Matt flipped the visor back up and continued his trip, his heart rate increasing with every blurred house that passed.
The vocalist wasn't quite sure when he had reached his boyfriend's house or even when he had gotten out of his car but the next thing he knew he was standing in front of a large and familiar flax door. He leaned on the balls of his feet and pressed the doorbell then he rocked onto his heels and uncomfortably scratched behind his ear. He was nervous and fully excepting that fact although admitting it to the man behind the door as a topic of conversation was an idea he'd rather not be forced to resort to.
The door began to creek open and Matt found himself on the brink of hyperventilation. It was as though the past 10 years of his life had never happened and this date was really going to be his chance to get to know the truth behind those intoxicating eyes. Brian stepped out of his house and closed the door before shooting a smile at Matt and nodding towards the car.
"You're actually taking that thing out?" The lead singer was at a loss for words and was only able to nod. His boyfriend was breathtaking although he was in his normal casual attire. The evening outfit included a plain, black, button down shirt (the first few buttons left undone) with the sleeves rolled up and torn, dark dyed jeans (which were successfully suspended by at least 40 different studded belts). His ensemble was only complete with his messy, spiked hair and a fancy pair of new sunglasses which covered up the chocolate pools which were more for hypnotizing then seeing.
Matt broke his boyfriend's gaze and looked at the ground as he grabbed his hand and began to lead him towards the car. The two remained silent as Matt opened the car door for Brian and waited until he was safely in before closing the door. He then circled the car and shakily pulled his keys out of his pocket while taking the driver's seat and starting the ignition. The car revved, saving the two from an awkward silence for a few comforting seconds.
"Matt, are you nervous?" Matt looked over at Brian before putting his hand on the back of the seat so he could look out of the back window and pull out of his parking spot.
"No!" Brian smiled but didn't comment as he knew the response came a little too fast and a little too loud and his boyfriend was on the verge of losing it. Matt's ears went red as he adjusted the car into drive and began to head towards the restaurant. The lead guitarist looked down at his boyfriend's hand, which was resting on the gear shift, and proceeded to grab it and interlace their fingers.
"Relax. We're just going out to eat." Matt seemed to relax at the touch but the knuckles of his left hand were still white as they gripped the steering wheel. Finally, the stressing vocalist decided to break the silence but only after he brought the back of Brian's hand to his lips.
"I feel like a need to impress you." His ears had begun to turn red again and Brian felt the need to roll his eyes and stifle a chuckle.
"We're already dating so, in a sense, you've accomplished what you're setting out to do." Matt looked over at his boyfriend and squeezed his hand, allowing the first dimpled smile of the evening to grace his features. It was Brian's turn to face the ever-annoying stomach butterflies.
"Where are we going?" Brian asked, turning his attention back to the road so he wouldn't have to face that smile. He started to nervously tap at the dashboard, shifting his weight to get comfortable. Matt looked over and raised an eyebrow.
"It's a surprise and look whose nervous now." Brian finally caught Matt's gaze again and stuck his tongue out, playfully glaring although he knew Matt couldn't see him from under the sunglasses.
"Don't give me that look" The two fell silent once again after they got over their snickers but the awkwardness had disappeared and was replaced by the catchy guitar riffs of their favorite Metallica mix CD.
"The Arcade?" Matt laughed as he opened the passenger's door and held his hand out so Brian could take it. Brian obliged and stood up, lifting his sunglasses so he could see better in the dark. The two grinned at each other and started towards the familiar, decrepit building.
"I thought it was fitting. As I recall, you and I have a pinball challenge that we have to complete." Matt laughed, wrapping his arm around his boyfriend's waist while pushing the door open and guiding the shorter man into the teen-ridden room. The two exchanged slightly uneasy glanced but relaced their fingers and made their way towards the pinball machines.
"I will destroy you, Matthew Sanders." Brian mocked while he took his stance in front of the machine, his hand finding their way to the worn buttons. Matt crossed his arms over his chest and eyed the older man in that less then intimidating, fake bouncer way. Brian shook his hips a bit before settling comfortably.
"So it begins..." The vocalist whispered, popping a token into the machine. Brian focused as he watched the stupid silver ball bounce around. He was a pinball master of sorts and had continuously been the keeper of the record on that very same pinball machine for years until one fateful day when a certain brawny beast had been dragged into the sacred arcade by a certain lanky and skanky best friend. Brian was being a bit of an egotistical bastard and basically flaunted his score to Matt who turned around and double that within a few tries. So a war had been born.
The two spent nights in this place, back in high school, trying to outdo the other. It was as though they were having a cliche fight for dominance in a very uncliche way (even though they never actually didn't get along). This little war had lasted until they started to go on tour and then had slipped into that part of the brain that's reserved for your best friend's favorite color and your ex's number. The place where you store that really odd information that's not really important but could potentially be needed and is easily located if ever that rare moment becomes a reality. The couple never forgot their heated battle.
After several strings of curses, a bruised bicep, various kicks to the shin, a few bites to the neck, and one really cheap shot involving Brian launching himself into Matt right before his high score was beaten, the two settled down to a table with one really big fucking pizza.
"What do you say to moving into together?" Brian proposed while absentmindedly picking the cheese off of his pizza. Matt nearly choked on his second mouth full and reached over to wipe his mouth with a napkin. He stared incredulously and dropped his pizza to his plate.
"This is the first date, Bri." The lead guitarist snorted and dropped his own slice of pie, wiping his hands and shaking his head.
"Don't be retarded, Matt. We've fucked at least 30 times. You just got freaked out when Zacky said that our relationship is solely based on sex. Which I can't really understand why you would take anything he says to heart." Matt grinned and rolled his eyes, knowing his boyfriend was right. The vocalist sighed and looked around the room, everyone was starting to clear out.
"Well he wasn't completely wrong. It's not like we've really had time for anything but sex and shows though. We had an excuse." Brian nodded and grabbed his pizza again, shoving the tip into his mouth. He bit down and looked towards Matt who was eying the pinball machine again.
"You're obsessed but you'll never beat me." Matt snapped out of his daze and glared, happy that his aviators weren't covering his cold hazel stare.
"If you wouldn't have flying-tackled me into that 13 year old then I would have. You're such a shitty loser." Brian stuck his tongue out but nodded, swallowing whatever remained in his mouth.
"You should have been on your guard. Ready for anything! I had to learn that while playing chess with Jimmy. Have you ever played chess with that crazy mother fucker? Holy shit." Matt shook his head but hesitated to ask. Playing anything with Jimmy tended to be hazardous for your health although the drummer had a knack for being extremely creative with his hazards. Brian continued his explanation anyway.
"He's pull marbles out of fuckin' no where and try to pelt them into your damn eye then he'd switch the pieces while you were screaming in pain and semi-blind." Matt couldn't help but grin at the mental image that story had created. There was something oddly satisfying about thinking about Zacky withering on the floor in pain while Jimmy completely rearranges the board.
"Extreme chess." Matt paused and looked towards the owner of the arcade who seemed content to stare at the two. The vocalist nodded towards her then looked back at his boyfriend and grabbed his hand. "Looks like its closing time." Brian followed Matt's gaze and nodded, standing up and grabbing the tray.
"I'll pay while you throw that out." Matt leaned over and kissed Brian's cheek while he pulled his wallet out and approached the woman at the counter. After completing their assigned tasks, the couple reunited and started their journey back to their dazzling chariot. As they walked they swayed laughed, gently bumping into one another just for that one second of contact.
"I guess its time to take you home." Matt said as he climbed into the driver's seat for the third time that night. Brian nodded and buckled his seat belt, folding his hands onto his lap.
"Yeah. We did say that we could get through the date and not end up having sex." Matt twitched slightly as he recalled the semi-bet they had made with Jimmy and Zacky. He then looked over and grabbed Brian's hand again. He was beginning to feel strange whenever he wasn't touching at least some part of his boyfriend.
"I enjoyed tonight." Matt chuckled although there was a hint of surprise in his tone. Brian turned his head and narrowed his eyes accusingly.
"And you thought you would hate it?" The vocalist started to voice his protests and then claimed that his boyfriend must have misunderstood him. Brian yanked his hand away and crossed his arms over his chest, shaking his head while he pressed his body against the car door.
"Aww, don't be like that. I guess I just took Zack's words a little too much to heart. I want this to work, Bri, and in order for it to work then there has to be more then just fucking amazing sex." Brian relaxed a bit and snickered, grabbing Matt hand and kissing the palm before responding.
"I didn't start to love you because I knew you were going to be a great fuck. I knew your personality before I knew your cock, Matthew Sanders." Matt smiled and tugged Brian closer until he rested his head upon Matt's shoulder. The two drove home, hand-in-hand, both dreading the goodbye that they would ultimately have to face.
They pulled out to Brian's house and untangled themselves from each other, Matt getting out first so he could once again open Brian's door. He walked his boyfriend to the porch and they stood their awkwardly, bouncing their weight around while they made small chat. Matt paused in mid-sentence and started down at his beautiful boyfriend. Brian gave him a curious glance before Matt leaned forward and captured Brian's lips with his own.
The two did not part or deepen the kiss, they simply relished in the simple perfection of the moment. It took a few minutes for Brian to regain his senses but when he did he wrapped his arms around Matt's neck and leaned his body forward. Matt placed a hand on the small of Brian's back and finally started to tease his boyfriend's lips with his tongue. Brian whimpered and broke the kiss, knowing he wouldn't be able to resist the taste of his lover's tongue. Matt sighed and wiped his forehead, pulling his keys out while placing a sweet kiss on Brian's cheek.
"I'll call you later." Brian nodded and waved, opening the door then leaning on the frame to watch the brawny man retreat to the safety of his vehicle. Matt silently cursed himself while he fumbled to find the right key to unlock his door. He made sure to keep his eyes off of Brian.
"Matt?" Matt snapped and saw Brian standing on the top step of his porch. He was biting his lip and looking a bit nervous, his eyes focusing on the power lines rather then Matt's face.
"How could they possibly know if you stay?" Matt didn't need any more of a reason. He bounded up the stairs and closed the distance between him and Brian, their bodies crashing together. He pushed his boyfriend back. The two stumbled into the house and Matt kicked the door shut. He grabbed Brian around the waist and forced him to wrap his legs around him while he subconsciously brought them into Brian's bedroom.
Matt laid them down, careful to keep his weight from crushing Brian as they began to work on removing their clothing. Each pulled their own shirt off but Brian was faster and quickly went to work on Matt's pants. It always seemed to start off as a race although they would slow it down once the more challenging of the events was completed.
Once they were both free, Matt paused and looked down at Brian. He started to blush and he reached up to dig in the nightstand for a certain evasive little bottle. Brian started to laugh and placed a chaste kiss upon his boyfriend's chest when he gave a cry of victory as he pulled the frosted bottle from its hiding place. The two crawled deeper onto the bed and Brian rested the top of his head against the headboard.
"Take me, Matt." He whispered, staring into the loving hazel eyes of the man above him. Matt nodded, burying his head into Brian's neck as he lubed himself up. Brian whimpered, bucking his hips while Matt positioned himself at Brian's entrance. The vocalist gently bit at the tender flesh his lips were previously teasing, trying to distract his boyfriend from the slight pain he was causing. The two moaned and closed their eyes, falling into a familiar, but welcomingly so, bliss.
Matt thrusted forward, his teeth unlatching then quickly replaced by his lips. He enjoyed the feeling of Brian's flesh against his while he plunged deeper into the whimpering man. It felt so right, so comforting and made it easier to focus on the sensations at hand. Some sex was rough, some sex was dirty, some was even kinky but during moments like this, during the true connection of two lovers it was all about the meticulous sensations.
Brian gasped and arched his back into Matt's chest, urging his lover to go deeper but not faster. It was never about the speed or the friction. It was about hitting all the right places, at all the right times, holding out for as long as possible. Matt pulled away from Brian's neck and sat up slightly, his hands resting on either side of Brian. He arched the lead guitarist further and thrusted again, forcing the older man to focus on the pleasure rather then the discomfort of the position. Matt dipped his head down and kissed the center of his boyfriend's chest, his tongue and teeth graze the skin until he wrapped his lips gently around the darkened flesh of Brian's nipple.
The guitarist gasped, the irregularities in his breathing coercing Matt further. They finally lost themselves in each other, their bodies melding together as they continued their intricate ritual even after the final waves of pleasure cease to had run through their bodies. Matt gently pulled out and rested his head on Brian's chest, placing small butterfly kisses wherever his lips could reach. Brian smiled to himself and started to gently run his fingers through his boyfriend's hair.
"I love you, Matt." Before Matt even had a chance to respond, the sound of a catchy beat filled the room and completely destroyed the moment. The couple pulled apart and Brian answered his phone before the chorus of Cyclone could start.
"Hello?" Brian choked, trying to sound as though he was in a decent state. Breathing was the only response for his greeting and Brian contorted his face in confusion.
"Anyone there?" Matt lifted himself up and raised an eyebrow.
"Who is it?" The vocalist asked. Suddenly noise erupted from the other end of the phone call and they were both able to distinguish the individual voices. Color rose in their cheeks.
"You fucking owe us 100 bucks, Fuckheads!" Zacky screamed into the receiver as Matt and Brian groaned, falling back onto the bed.
"Fuck off, Baker!"
