Once upon a time there were Seven Sisters – Alycone, Asterope, Celeano, Electra, Maia, Merope + Taygeta, daughters of Atlas and Pleione. Over the years and millennia, The Pleiades have charmed, mystified and inspired. Visible from both the Southern and Northern Hemispheres, myths, legends, and stories about the star cluster can be found in almost every civilization and culture. Eternally pursued by the Hunter Orion, The Pleiades are strong and bright with more than 500 stars in their cluster.
