Let's face it. Most of us are bored. We're trying to forget the war waging overseas. We're restless, uninspired. But above all, we're empty. We're searching for a revolution. We are the brigade. We're revolutionaries with an unknown cause, but oh, we're fighting. On the wrong side of 7AM, in forgotten cities, on paper, in bus stations, on streetlights. We're everywhere. We are the cause. We are the revolution. We weave art in all we do. We breathe poetry, exhale faded photographs. We love, we draw, we write, we create. We are on the rise. Art is what we love, art is what we live.

If you've ever posted a love letter, you were to afraid to send, on a telephone pole for all to see, if you've ever scattered polaroids in a subway station, if you've ever written poetry on your bare flesh or in sidewalk chalk at a busy streetcorner, if you've ever hid a collage in a musty library book, if you've ever written famous quotes of dead poets on a dollar bill, or scribbled a sonnet on a bathroom wall...you have begun the revolution.
The brigade is about spreading art and inspiration, every where we go. This community is to inspire others by your random acts of art. There will be a weekly theme/mission. So, what are you waiting for? Let's start the revolution.

+ Respect everyone. mods, members, public. We do not under any circumstances encourage you to do things that will get you into trouble or disrespect another's personal property. This means to use your own judgement. Don't destroy, create.
+ Post your own work, please.
+ Constructive criticism equals good. Being downright mean and horrible equals bad. Again, respect others and their work/ideas.
+ Lj cuts make everyone happy, really. Large items, go under a cut. We don't encourage censorship, but we do encourage respecting others. If you think someone might find it offensive, put it under a cut with a warning.
+ Promote art, inspiration, and ideas. Have fun, really.
+ Taking part in themes is not neccessary, but it is appreciated. A community is only as good as you make it.
+ If you don't like how something's being run, offer suggestions. If you have an idea for a theme or think the layout needs changed, whatever, speak up! I'm flexible and up for any ideas. However, "ThiS commuNity IS gHey", will not be tolerated. Don't be a jerk, and things will go well. If you're really good at html, please help out; we'd love to hear from you.

We hate this to be the first mission, but PROMOTE! PROMOTE! PROMOTE! Please, in your personal journal, userinfo, communities, streetcorners, billboards, wherever.

+ New members, please introduce yourself! You can do this by whatever means you feel comfortable. Maybe a picture, a drawing, a poem will capture you better than a survey. We've listed a basic survey, but introduce yourself how you see fit.
