Okay, here's a preliminary run-thru of information that was gone over in the chatroom last night.
The Staticzero Summer Retreat 2005 will most likely be the 12-14 of August. I will have the date for sure on Friday. Once I have the definite date please RSVP by 1 August. Let me know if you'll be going tubing so I can make reservations as soon as possible.
Madison, you fail.
Schedule Skeleton
We will be arriving at my house on Friday about 4 to begin packing and organizing. Dinner will be Friendly's around 6, and we should leave between 8 and 9, hopefully more towards 8. Upon arrival Wilson will stake claim to Ft. Wilson once again and the rest of us will unpack. Staying up very late and general awesomeness will ensue.
On Saturday we have breakfast early and leave for Harpers Ferry at 10 to go tubing on the river at 11 ($30). We should be done tubing by 2 or 3. The rest of the day will be spent in Harpers Ferry, and Joey will be elaborating on what there is to do there. We can bring snacks and picnic food for post-tubing munchies and have a late lunch in Harpers Ferry. BBQ has been suggested for dinner. Kyle and Matt Ithink will deal with this. After dinner I propose pickup rpgs, card games, board games, movies, and other non-video-game stuff for an an unplugged weekend. However, if unpluggedness doesn't sound like a good idea please leave a comment (maybe just 1 xbox?), and the majority will decide.
On Sunday we will most likely have to go to church again. Church is at 9, so early breakfast and home by 11. After an early lunch (or a picnic lunch) the idea is to climb Devil's Nose, a short but strenuous hike up a steep hill with a bit of a rock scramble at the end. We'll be back at the house in mid-afternoon, and after we clean the house and repack I'd suggest leaving after 6.
Other items of note
Teams are needed to cook specific meals. People not cooking will be organized into Team Cleanup.
Meals need to be planned more extensively, as last year we had too many bags of chips and not enough of the essentials. Wilson, Matt/Kyle, Joey, and I will be going shopping earlier that week. Additional supplies are again welcome. For chipping in for gas and groceries, Friendly's, tubing, Harper's Ferry, and additional food I would suggest bringing no less than $50 at the bare minimum.
Who will definitly be driving and how many people can your car hold? So far we have Wilson, a Urick vehicle, and the van. You can beat up your passengers and make them chip in for gas.
Girls will be sleeping upstairs on the beds and inflatable mattresses, guys in the living room and, if necessary, the dining room. Don't hog the shower plzkthx.
A quick word on PDA: Okay, there are a lot of couples going on the retreat this year. Considering certain problems last year, Matt and Kyle will be putting people on sexual probation if they deem it necessary. Use common sense and be discreet, please.
If there is anything that I've forgotten or that comes to mind please comment. I am excited; hope you are too!

However, while you and your guest are in the commissary, you are responsible for the actions of your guest. Your guest is NOT authorized to make commissary purchases, and you are NOT permitted to make commissary purchases for your guest.
Also, you need to be aware that local military regulations in some areas prohibit guest access to a commissary. This being the case, we recommend that-if you plan to bring a guest with you during a shopping visit to a commissary-you contact commissary management prior to your shopping trip to find out if you'll be permitted to take your guest with you into the commissary."
Uh, in summary, I believe I'm allowed to bring you in as a guest, but if it looks like we're purchasing food for you, we get shot or something.
...
Unless you REALLY want to come along, it might be better for you to just write up a list for us.
