Normalcy? [09 Oct 2005|04:43pm]

I'd just like to extend a "hope you're all okay" to everyone who survived the clusterfuck known as Hurricane Katrina. My house is okay, but I know many people whose homes were completely destroyed. I hope all of you are okay, because losing a home really fucking sucks and I don't know what I'd do if mine were gone.

Let's hope that things will be back to normal (as normal as "normal" can be, anyway) sometime soon.

Hello everyone. As you know Katrina become a category 5 very fast like. We need to take precautions, I want all of you to stay safe during the storm. If you live close to some form of water, like me, that WILL flood I suggest you leave. Hopefully nothing devistating will happen. Stay safe and don't worry to much cause that usually makes things worse.

Love Always,
Nikcole

Everyone I have sad news for those who eat lunch in the cafeteria and will next year also. We were told in Mrs.Pate's class yesterday that all they will serve at lunch is healthy foods, no more soda's, no more snacks sold at break unless they are healthy, but we are allowed to bring our own junk food and stuff.

All right; you have 30 minutes until all ScanTron sheets must be turned in. Write in only a #2 lead pencil; make sure you have your name and the date in the proper green box.

Snarky. [12 Jun 2005|03:26pm]

Words can't express the relief I feel now that I have graduated from that hellhole of a penitentiary school dubbed St. Martin. Apprehension and perplexity have replaced the old feelings of resentment and disgust as we head on towards other goals such as college, employment, and independent lives outside of the supposed hallowed halls of the sprawling prison we have just escaped from.

Sadly, for some people, life ended with the graduation ceremonies.

Here's a toast to all those who will remain living their lives as though high school never ended -- marrying their high-school sweetheart, a former football player turned premature balding alcoholic who relives the glory days and does nothing more than sit in front of the television after a hard day's work doing 9 to 5 at a routine business job; birthing 2.5 children to accompany the white picket fence and one canine companion (oh, look! Daddy's outside throwing the football to Junior while Suzie dutifully helps her mother bake cookies!); becoming addicted to painkillers and daytime television; making daily outings to Wal*Mart (Always Low Prices. ALWAYS); trying to dish up the latest gossip within the community with the same circle of friends who proved to be unreliable, selfish, boring, pathetic losers with dreams of housewifery and wondrous lives as career women sucking on the teat of banality.

Let's not forget the tight-knit groups of pageant-worthy false smiles and closet harlots! And we most certainly cannot forget the adoring, happy parents living their glory days vicariously through their children!

Thank [Significant Deity] that shit is over.

I, for one, am glad to be rid of that hellhole, the hatemongers, the shit-starters, the whining bitches, the moronic guys, and the pathetically falsifying staff members of St. Martin High.

Way to go, Class of 2005! We successfully did the same as every other class and every other class before it! I'm sure the teachers and the administration will be raving about us for years and years as one of the most legendary groups of gifted youngsters they have ever had the pleasure of knowing, teaching, and ruling!

... I am so ready to graduate college.

... It must be the snarky mood.

if you are 16+ and would like to work with me at the Bonefish Grill opening up in the mall, go to the old Candy Factory by the food court to pick up an application at the BoneFish Hiring Center. we are opening the 25th of this month and as my boss said, we will have a very "interesting" opening if we don't get some more servers. training is all next week so if you want to be on schedule with the rest of the crew turn in an application by the end of the week.

it's a really fun place to work and we have great line-caught (none of that frozen shit) fish like Swordfish, Mahi Mahi and great Calamari and shrimp dishes. we also have a huge bar for those of you who are 21+, GREAT benefits and LOTS of room for growth. if you'd like to get an idea of how the restaurant works go to the website at www.bonefishgrill.com or ask me or just stop by the hiring center to check out a sample menu.

we really need employees and the pay is great so get your butts over there!

Hey, anyone with Mrs. Heise: does the current events article have to be 2 or 3 paragraphs? Because at first I thought it was only two, a summary and then a reaction, but I just looked on the grade distribution thing and it said "2 paragraphs and a reaction." And does it really have to be local?

Boxing? [04 Jan 2005|10:59pm]

monotone2
Alright, is anyone interested in starting boxing, its a great sport, builds confidence in yourself, puts you in great shape, and of course its a lot of fun. I'm hoping to get more people into the sport as something they would do actively, I got to Biloxi Boxing club, theres not many people my age, but it would be great to see more people getting into it plus i'd be great if i had someone close to my experience(which isn't much) that i could spar with and stuff.

just incase you don't know where it is, biloxi boxing club is right next to point cadet plaza(thats the big metal building that you see to the right when you're going across the OS/Biloxi bridge) its the small building, it has a sign that says biloxi boxing club, yeah that little building.

Just in case for some reason you don't know how to get there: from os going to biloxi, as you get off the bridge take your first right, that will be myrtle(sp?), go up myrtle towards the palace casino, the first stop sign you will take a right, on 1st, you'll see some gates, go through them blah blah blah

anyways, important info

Its Monday-thursday(sometimes friday's)
6pm-9pm, we get done earlier than that sometimes

you have to register so you can compete, which pays for the insurance and stuff so you can spar. Whats great is its only 50 bucks for the entire year, where as if you wanted to go to learn at a private place it would be that much a month. so its really not that much.

It would be great to see more people interested in this sport.

but yeah, just spreading the word, sorry about posting on different communities
