You think I just want you for your information?
I drove an ambulance! For the first time! Just around the station carpark to practise reversing, but STILL. It's awesome.

I'm just about to finish a marathon watch/rewatch of 24 – four seasons in a month (S2, S3 and S4 for the first time, finally, and S5 for the second) – and I've learnt a few things.

1. Everything I've ever heard about Tony/Michelle? It's all true. I know I'm, like, six years late for the party, but I love them too much to care. YOU GUYS. THEY'RE LIKE MAGIC OR SOMETHING. I can't believe my TV still works, after that first kiss. (Those two should teach classes or something.) And the married angst of S3 where he gives up everything for her and then the divorced angst of S4 where she has to make the same choice and then the best reunion scene of all time. They are the most amazing kind of emotional exhaustion. Reiko Aylesworth is just...everything. Seriously. Marrying her is at the top of my To Do list right now.

2. Carlos Bernard, Sarah Wynter and Michelle Forbes (who could read the phone book, and I'd still be captivated by the sound of her voice) do maybe the funniest audio commentary I've ever heard in my life. I cried.

3. Goddamn, it's a good show. I tend to forget, but it wastes no time in reminding me. And Jean Smart is still the queen of everything. Is it January yet?

Anyone out there have a copy of the Secretary soundtrack version of "Chariots Rise" by Lizzie West? I'll love you forever.

Book 27: Memoirs of a Teenage Amnesiac
Title: Memoirs of a Teenage Amnesiac
Author: Gabrielle Zevin
How many pages: 271
How long it took me to read: 3 Day (Wasn't really trying)
Overall rating: 3.5 out of 5 Stars
Short Review: I don't know, it strated off good but kinda declined as the book went along. The ending was blah.

Up Next: The Summoning by Kelley Armstrong, I was the first one to check it out of the library. I've never had a brand new book from the libary, feels a little strange I'm afraid I'll ruin it or something.

Happy National Coming Out Day!!!
I know the day is almost over but whateves! I said it on my facebook a while ago so it still counts.

Funny story (maybe) is that I wrote it in my status thinking "this is going to surprise no one". (Side note my profile pic for the last three weeks has been the Obama (LGBT) Pride Icon.) However, apparently my cousin, who I've only recently friended on Fbook was shocked. Lol.

She was really cool about it and supportive or whatever. So I actually managed to come out to someone today! Yaaay!!

My name is Jocelyn and I like chicks (and dudes sometimes)!

This is so much better than celebrating Colonialism Columbus Day.  :0)

would you still like me anyway?
Dear family,
Please to be learning how to watch a fucking boiling pot when I need to use the restroom for a quick minute.
The same bit of news will be showing over and over on the channel you watch all damn day.
Signed,
Annoyed and Still Hungry

I very much would like to see The Flaming Lips' movie, Christmas on Mars. The feel of it is Ed Wood-tastic, but the actual film itself I've read is not. Which is good, of course. Watch the trailer here or on Vimeo if you prefer.

Let the Right One In >>>>>>>>>>> Twilight

Gerard, I'm taking very appropriate words out of your mouth for this little piece of news. HOLY SHITBALLS. Anne Hathaway and Helena Bonham Carter to play the White Queen and the Red Queen respectively in Burton's Alice adaptation. FJDKAL;SFJKLAS;FJL;AKSJFLK;ASJ The casting for this film thus far is EPIIIIIIIIIC.

On a related note, apparently Hathaway's performance in Rachel Getting Married is getting much attention. I never saw the trailer for that one when I first heard of the film 2 weeks ago, I figured it was some lame comedy. But having seen it now, definitely looking forward to this one. It looks precious. Reminds me a bit of Junebug. :) Did ya'll know Anne was thisclose to landing the role of Johanna in Burton's Sweeney Todd? I never heard her sing until last week's SNL. If Burton went the 'older' route like the stage show does, no doubt she would have snagged the part with that lovely voice.

And now we return to your regularly unscheduled flist.

Go Matt.
Lubbock, Texas is on Yahoo! News. Apparently, KLBK weatherman Matt Laubhan infiltrated KAMC 28 and took the sportscaster's position. And he proposed to anchorwoman Emily Leonard.

Aww. Adorable.

It's nice to see Lubbock in the national news for something positive, and not the bullshit, ultra-conservative crap that our city council keeps doing. (Or the fact that we have the highest STD rates in the country...and every third girl is pregnant here.)

Ahh, I love my little city.

So I put in my two weeks on Monday. :] Yay! The 21 is the last day that they can force me to work there and that makes me happy!

Except that I'm already missing the money that is soon going to stop coming to weekly. :[

But I figure with 6 months of retail experience, and at least two awesome recommendations from my coworkers, I'll be able to find another job that is willing to pay me 7/hr. Maybe even...DUN DUN DUN--Walmart.

D: I really do not want to work there, though. [I fucking hate cashiering...]

But oh well. I can't wait to start hitting the gym again. :]

tooooo exhausted... blah blah blah
Oh shit, I'm have that feeling where I'm well aware of everyone in the house being sick, therefor I am feeling the sickness enter my system. GO AWAY, INVADER!!!!!!!

So... I'm back! I've returned from visiting my sister in Daytona Beach. Fun was had. Allergic reaction to her cats on the first day was had. Medicine helped completely the following days, so that was good. Watched lots of 30 Rock but none of Sports Night (lol [info]corellianjedi, so much for picking it up early!) I left a couple things at Bridgette's per usual, my cell phone charger and the records I bought at this used cds/dvds/records store. Major suckness right there. Hopefully Bridgette will take the trip down here in 2 weeks that she said she was considering [so that she can take pictures in downtown St. Pete].

Well, not much else to talk about there really. My Twitter posts covered the rest.

Was suppose to meet up with Nicki ... right now, actually, but she said her voice still wasn't feeling too hot and re-scheduled for tomorrow. I was actually suppose to leave Daytona Beach Friday to meet with Nicki in the evening but that's when she started not feeling too great. So we had re-scheduled originally for today.

Oh man, seriously...not feeling too hot. Damnit. I don't want to get sick!! Though, I guess maybe it's better to get sick now rather than around Christmas like I always do, which usually lasts until early February.

Well, I'm hot, hungry, and wanting to watch some Sports Night. I will be going through everyone's journals a bit letter. And OH! If anyone/you made some pretty icons, PLEASE TO BE LINKING ME? :D I really couldn't handle going through my flist all the way back to Tuesday. I'd have a stroke or something.

Upchuck the boogie...
Don't ask me why I picked that as a subject line, it seemed like a good idea at the time. *shrugs*

How's everyone?  I rarely ask that, so tell me!

SOUTH last night!!!! Thank goodness I dvr'd it, because its not on iTunes yet.  Spoilerish for Ep 3.09 - Career Day )

I finished Breaking Dawn literally the day after my last entry.  LOVED IT. SO MUCH.  I also read another book, Playground, started it Sunday night and finished it Monday afternoon.  It was a pretty good book.  I went on a bit of a book binge on Amazon the other day, so I should be occupied for a while.

Didn't get any of the 37 bajillion jobs I've applied for, including the mobile dj gig.  That one would have been cool, so it sucks that I didn't get it, but whatevs.  *sigh*  I'm starting to get all stressed out about not having a job and its starting to make me not be able to sleep at night, like until 2 in the morning.  *sighs again*  Especially with Christmas coming up and stuff, that's going to be difficult, since I'm more of a present giver than anything.  I love buying presents for other people.  Well, assuming they're easy to buy for.

Shar had agreed to go with me to this place called The Cafe in S.F., its one of the nightclubs in the Castro (gay district of S.F.), and Steph (Shar's lesbian friend from one of her classes) swears by it, so I'm looking forward to it.  Not sure when we'll actually go, but its been discussed.  April said she'd go, but now she's worried that she'll get hit on and it could be awkward.  *eye roll*

Got a couple shows lined up for SSF for the next couple months, and trying to book more.  I hope the guys are ready to be busy!!!  Impeller had a show last night, so I went and saw them and pimped myself to the owner and gave her one of our demos.  We need to record some new songs...although we need to write them first...hehe.

Ehm, what else?  I'm drawing a blank. I want a Canon Rebel XTi, but I'm broke.  I love using my mom's, but she won't let me take it anywhere, so that's an epic fail on a small scale.  I detest being broke. *grumbles*

Ahkay, I'm out of things to ramble/complain about, so please tell me what's going on with you.  And for the love of all that is beautiful and awesome in the world, go read She's Losing It by Jengrrrl.  An EPOCH story of woe and young adulthood.
