Something I wrote:
Silky white sheets and plush white carpet broken up by rose petals or a stain so old, its source has been forgotten. Smoke from heavily scented incense swirls about the room, making beautiful, spidery patterns, and then escapes through the open, white-curtained window. Sounds of a damp southern night gently trickle through the window: crickets, frogs, owl, wolves, and nightengales. I drink in the bittersweet song of the nightengale as I recline comfortably in my lover's arms. His toungue tickles my ear as he whispers somthing unintelligible to me and hands me a beautiful, jewel-encrusted dagger. I carefully consider the bloodred jewels and intricate carvings in the slowly blackening silver of the hilt. He sqeezes my arm reassuringly as he looks deeply into my eyes. His eyes are a gorgeous pale, translucent grey, just like mine, though they suit him better. I see a mixture of sadness and joy in his eyes. Then we press our wrists to the blade. It surprises me how easily it cuts through our flesh, so much that I almost jerk my wrist away. But we keep pressing until we are lounging in a pool of blood and our wrists are almost touching. I then pull the kinfe from our wrists and lick it clean. He presses his soft, velvet lips to my wrist as I do the same to him. We drink our fill and press our lips together in one final kiss. I taste bitter blood and salty tears in his mouth. I feel myself drowning in blood, tears, his beautiful soft, dark hair, incense, and the nightengale song.
