Zodiac and Lycanthropy
I was wondering how many Sagittarians in history have been suspected lycanthropes or werewolves or other shape-shifters? It would seem logical, somehow, because the sign is a dual sign that deals w/ a divided animal nature between man and beast. Hence the iconography. I guess this is a followup a previous post of mine about serial killers and signs. Laugh at it if ya like, but I'm definitely curious as any kitty.

The best way to go about finding this information is to start digging into records of people that were put to death for being suspected werewolves. My suggestion is to start with records of things like the Salem Witch Trials and go from there.

Your guess is as good as mine as to whether or not said records will include dates of birth for the accused, though.

Let us know what you find out!

That's something I never even considered but it would make sense to me. You could look into the records of France's werewolf trials in the sixteenth century. They'd probably have birth records your could look up for the accused as well. They were almost all, if not all, put to death so I'm sure if you could find something on their death you'd find their birth.

Though, if you do go into historical records it may not be so clear-cut. A rye fungus is believed to be responsible. So that leaves the question, though the fungus creates the (supposed) insanity, is the (supposed) insanity manifested as a werewolf because they're sagittarius or was it because of a society obsessed with werewolf trials at the time?

I think there are a lot of other factors here, some not so mainstream and some not so clear-cut. But, definately I'd be interested to know as well. Hell, I'm even thinking of looking into it myself once I get home from work so whatever I find, I'll let ya know.

I'm sure you could find one but off-hand I don't know of any. I watch a lot of the 'weird history' on the history channel. I'm very into the paranormal, legends, occult...that sort of thing so I watch anything on telly I come across on it and look for books and/or websites on it.

After looking online, NONE of the birthdays were ever revealed for the suspected werewolves of France. Not a single one. It remains a complete mystery to this day. Convenient hunuh?

How frustrating. I'd really love to know. :(

I can't think of another method, I don't think they'd let you ask in an asylum, patient confidentiality and such.

Try a specific university library, college or archive maybe. Internet is only good for some public searching I've learned; but, it can be detected by the true seeker of the source.
