Mischief Managed is an original character, contemporary Harry Potter RPG currently seeking talented writers. We are a unique community of original characters that still respect the canon laws of the Harry Potter universe. We value in-depth character development and mature writers (Mary-Sues and self-inserts will not be considered.) This is an HP board for dedicated writers and storytellers that enjoy collaborating with their fellow 'students' to create their own history.

We welcome people to apply for professors, as Mischief Managed is one of the few boards that holds active classes in any and all Hogwarts subjects, but we are also looking for students of all houses and ages. Welcome to Niihau +
The island of Niihau is one of Hawaii's best kept secrets. Family owned, but uninhabited since the late 1960's. The Anderson family had purchased it in the 40's to open a school for Wayward Girls and Boys. But lack of funds closed the doors in 1968 and the island had been uninhabited ever since. This resorted in the island being taken over by the native Hawaiian wildlife. Three years ago, in 2005, the Andersons finally decided to sell the island that had been in their family for years. They decided to offer it up to friends first, and the Orton’s had been there friends for 20 years or better. Their son, WWE Star, Randy Orton, jumped at the chance to purchase the island. Signing and offering the money right away, because the idea of fixing up the island and re-opening the school sounded like a pretty amazing idea, and he knew that his best friend, John Cena, would be the perfect one to run it with him. The idea of helping troubled youth was one that he was really interested in, especially since his 12 year old daughter had started to show the signs and acting out herself. Randy believed that all troubled teens with the right motivation could be reformed and he believed that he and Cena were the right men for the job. So now in 2008, after 3 years of restoration and construction of a small town. Niihau was ready to be reopened. John and Randy both lobbied to a bunch of corporations, using the fact that they were still stars of the WWE, to help build a small town, so if they needed any of the basic needs, they wouldn't have to fly or take a boat to one of the bigger islands. It wasn't much, just a few choice restaurants, small shopping mall and a grocery store, even a pub for the staff. They didn't want people to feel as isolated as they really were, and everything turned out better then they imagined. Not to mention all of this was done without disturbing the wildlife that much, they had even made a sanctuary just for all the animals that where there. The rules are strict, but it's only to help the teenagers better their life, and its pure genius being on an island far away from any place, and no way to run. John and Randy have faith that whatever the students problem is that comes here, they'll be able to fix it, and they figure they won't have any problems getting staff for the place, who wouldn't want to work and live in paradise?

We are a multi-fandom RPG, so Bandom, Actors & Actresses, WWE wrestlers, Athletes and Scene Kings & Kings are welcome. We also accept Myspace Scene Kids and Original Characters, though we ask that you don't bring in a character with your own face, because that is creepy. So if there is anyone that you've ever wanted to play, then by all means come here and play them! The sky is pretty much the limit.

	THE END
	The earth is gone. A year and a half ago you, and the rest of the world, learned that everything you thought you knew about the world, the galaxy and the universe . . . was wrong. We aren't alone in the universe and while all the aliens out there weren't out to get us, there were more than a few who were. In the mass hysteria and martial law following the revelation, other information leaked out: the earth was under attack, the survival of humanity was at risk and the world powers had secret plans in place to save a remnant of the population and save humanity from certain extinction. You were one of the few, either chosen by your rank and station or randomly via lottery, to go through the stargate, an advanced alien device that afforded nearly simultaneous transportation between worlds, to a lifeboat colony. There, alongside 7500 others, you would begin to rebuild human civilization.

	You are part of the remnant of earth's population, surviving and rebuilding at the lifeboat colony known as Gamma Site. Though earth is gone, there is a stargate at your disposal and thousands of unexplored worlds at your fingertips.

Ascendant is set two years after the events of Deathly Hallows, in a world that is far from fixed. Vigilante groups are springing up on both sides, and the better world the Order of the Phoenix was fighting for seems to be slipping away.

Hogwarts is rebuilt sufficiently to provide its students with an education, allowing those whose NEWT year was cut short to return for one final year before going out into the world. Some of those who had been in what once had been the DA have now started Quango, a wizard peace corps made up of young people who are dedicated toward rebuilding the wizarding world.

But things can not stay so peaceful for long. Extremists are beginning to re-group; the Ministry for Magic has been blown up, and many witches and wizards killed or injured in the process, and others still have plans for more subtle and devastating waves of deaths.

A group of muggle-borns targeted in the Great War have now banded together, calling themselves Broadsword. They use muggle weaponry and gang tactics to strike fear into the hearts of Purebloods, deeming themselves the bringers of justice for Muggleborns everywhere.

Slytherins of all ages are now a target of hatred, no mater their involvement in the war, and it seems the calm before the storm is about to end.

Who will you be? A member of Quango working for change? A terrorist creating chaos to further their personal goals? Someone just trying to find their place in the world? Or will you be caught in the crossfire?

You must be 18 to play.
Ascendant RPG is a canon compliant (but not Epilogue compliant) game. We have a cast of wonderful players who are experienced and eager to plot with someone like you.

IT WAS TOO LATE

The world has changed drastically from that of what anyone remembers, and it is far worse than anyone could have imagined. Though for a few months the right wing evangelicals swore up and down it was the second coming of their Lord and that they had been warning of this very day for so long. For the FOH (Friends Of Humanity) this was just the outcome of the human race working too slowly to purify the world of it's messed up DNA. For those sane enough to understand what was going on, to really see the truth behind the mess of the world - it was just another day for the world to end. Another day to be a hero...except that day stretched into years.

THE GAME

If you miss comic based X-Men, and enjoy mature (often dark themed) game play, then this game might be exactly what you've been looking for in an X-Men RPG. We're looking for active writers with active imaginations and a willingness to work well with others.

Don't think you have to be a mutant, if you have a dark side that has always wanted to rip into the mutant DNA just to see what really makes them tick, maybe you'd be more happy with the Purifiers - who seem to be very happy raiding and slaughtering when they aren't experimenting.

TRAILER PARK ENFORCED RULES

* Please note these are not game rules you can Role Play any of them and it's depends on your storyline if you want your character(s) to get caught *

Management reserves the right to add to remove or change any of these rules at any time. Non-compliance with any of these rules may cause immediate eviction and expulsion from the trailer park:

No disturbing other residents, meaning do not make a pest or general ass out of yourself.

Drunkeness will not be tolerated. No drinking outside your home, please do not wander around the park drunk.

Pets should remain in your home and not run around the park unattended. Please walk your dogs on leashes.

Do not let children run around unattended, we the management reguard them the same as we do pets.

No fighting of any kind, this means no punchin' and no hollerin' either. Doesn't matter what time of the day it is.

The pool hours are 10am - 10pm. Do not get in it, do not even go near it after hours. No lifeguard is present so if you stupid don't swim. The manager may see you drowning but that doesn't mean he is going to get wet and save your ass.

Please dispose of your trash in the dumpster, do not litter. We would like to keep this place looking beautiful like we all know it is. Empty beer bottles should not be discarded on your front lawn or anyone else's. Your lawn or anyone else's is not an ashtray. Please when you purchase new previously owned furniture do not put your old furniture out as a lawn decoration. Last but not least, we know they are fancy but no hanging beer can wind chimes from the exterior of your home.

No cars up on blocks. No using your front yard to do maintenance on any vehicles

This rule is disturbing but it must be said. While outside of your trailer you must be clothed. Please close the curtains or blinds before walking around in the nude or having sex near a window. Please also do not have sex outside of your home, this includes the pool.

Remember no one owns the trailer they reside in, they are rental properties. We won't sell to you so don't ask.

Following these simple rules should make your life here in Palace Mobile Home Village more enjoyable for yourself and everyone living here.

Characters may be anyone including but not limited to band members, band managers, actors, actresses models... etc. Original characters are welcomed as long as you have pictures of what they look like. Theres is no limit on the amount of characters you have as long as you are active. Please don't let it get out of hand. Please comment Appropriate Post to put a character on hold. Male pregnancy is allowed. No MOD approval is needed due to the nature of the setting. Many different kinds of relationships are allowed, just like in real life. Marriage and Divorce is allowed without the concent of a mod. Polyamorous relationships are allowed and incest is allowed if that truly makes you happy. Pretty much anything goes in less it causes too much of a controversy.

Please update your character journals at least once every two weeks. If you go more then 2 weeks without posting we will be forced to pull you character. Although we understand things happen, we would like to keep an active community. After you have been removed twice from the community you are not allowed back in.

Please let a moderator know if you will be gone for a long period of time. We will set your character to a haitus

Role playing in any form is allowed, third person most commonly used.

Please be literate and do not use net speak (EX: Instead of 2 spell out too or instead of U spell out You) do not use lol or smiley's ect. when your character is in person with another person. When your character is talking on AIM with another character this is acceptable however.

Please somehow separate actions from dialogue (EX: I walk over to you and smile "Hello" ) if you need help please let someone know

Please somehow separate your OOC conversations from your IC conversations. Using something such as (( )) or {{ }} or // or ++ in front of to signify this is not happening between your characters will really help and avoid confusion.

WELCOME TO DANVERS STATE BOYS ORPHANAGE

The Past...
The history of Danvers State Insane Asylum is a grim one. Opened in 1878 in the extremely rural, and out-of-the-way location of Danvers, Massachusetts. The hospitals architecture remains one of the finest with it's Gothic peaks and spires looming over the solid red brick, a truly incredible sight of beauty and a symbol of grandeur and fortitude. It was often referred to as the castle on the hill.

However over the years the castle on the hill experienced more sadness and tragedy than anything else, especially for it's mentally unstable residents. The hospital soon filled with such varied types of patients that it soon became a problem; geriatrics, the mentally disabled, alcoholics, drug addicts, the criminally insane and all other people with varied degrees of mental illness were mixing together under one roof. This started the issue of over-crowding. The original recommended maximum capacity was 600 patients, and although some additions had been constructed, the hospital housed around 2,400 patients at one point. By the 1950's Danvers State started to receive quite a reputation for its cruelty, reportedly using various shock therapies, lobotomies, and other methods in an attempted to keep the overcrowded hospital under control.

Reaching a steady decline of patients the original building was abandoned in the early 1970's the remaining patients were moved to the Bonner Medical Building across the lawn.

In the summer of 1992 Danvers State Hospital was meant with it's final fate, officially closing it's doors in response to the many allegations of overcrowding, abuse and neglect in court.

Sitting abandoned for over a decade, the building grew neglected and forgotten becoming only a target for vandalism, it was also rumored to be haunted by those that suffered within it's walls. Its believed that some places are better to be left alone and forgetten...

And thats just what happened until recently...

Present day

In 2003 renovations started on Danvers State Insane Asylum. In 2007 four years later, ironically taking the same amout of years to renovate as it originally took to build, the doors were once again reopened, this time baring a new name, Danvers State Orphanage For Boys.

The Orphanage was opened in the effort to house boys aged 14-18 that the state deemed as a lost cause and therefore unable to ever be adopted. Most of the boys had been in the system a long time, shuffled from one foster family to another when they were no longer wanted. The boys have varieties of different problems that were a deciding factor, such as violent tendencies, behavioral disorders, severe emotional and mental issues.

Staffed with cruel and sometimes sadistic employees who love reminding them of their place in the world and at the orphanage. There are the occasional kind staff members but they are a rare exception.

Sometimes it's believed that a place is just damned and the sins of it's past carry on to the effect those in the present. Some places should just never be re-opened...with that in mind enjoy your stay...

No sexual activity

No pornographic material

No alcoholic beverages or illegal substances. No smoking

No weapons or sharp objects are allowed

No fighting

No Leaving the premises without written permission. Wards may not be outside of the building unless it is during approved times

Incoming and outgoing mail will be screened. Visitors will also be screened upon arrival and departure

Any ward breaking the rules will be punished in whatever way staff sees fit

DAILY SCHEDULE

Weekdays

Lock down/Bedtime is at 10:00pm sharp. At this time wards will be locked in their appropriate rooms

Wake-up call is at 6:00am

Line up for school bus is at 7:30am. Absences from school must be discussed with medical staff

Breakfast starts at 6:15am/Dinner is at 6pm

School bus drops off at 4:45pm

Homework and chores must be done before recreation time

Recreation time is granted between the hours of 7:00pm and 9:00pm providing ward has completed all obligations

Showers must be taken before 9:30pm

Weekends

Wake-up call is at 9:00am

Breakfast starts at 9:30am/Lunch is at 1:30pm/Dinner is at 5:30pm

As long as all chores and any homework obligations are meant free-time will be granted up until 11pm

Showers must be taken before 11:00pm

Lock down/Bedtime is at 12:00am sharp

DORM ROOMS AND LAYOUTS

Dorm rooms hold two wards per room

No private bathrooms. Bathrooms and showers are shared by all wards

Wards are expected to keep there rooms clean and there will be random inspections

UNIFORMS AND GENERAL APPEARANCE

The Following Uniform will be worn by all wards on weekdays:

Guidelines

All uniforms should be neat, clean and in good repair. Danvers will see to providing new ones as needed

All uniform clothing should be appropriately sized

Shirts MUST be tucked in at all times

Shorts should be no more than 2 inches above knee

T-shirts worn under uniform shirts are to be plain white (free of lettering or graphics)

Pants and shorts are to be worn at the waist, above the hips

Hats and sunglasses are not to be worn unless special permission is granted to do so

Hair should be clean and well-groomed; hair should not be dyed an unnatural color

Make-up and jewelry should be appropriate for school and not create a distraction

Shoes are to be neat and clean-soled without a heel; boots can be worn when needed

The school administration reserves the right to determine if attire, hair, and make-up is acceptable

STAFF RULES

Staff will live on property in a separate wing

Staff members will take turns being on call as needed

Relationships of a personal/romantic nature with wards are prohibited

Relationships with other staff members is discouraged

Staff must be able to discipline in any way that may be necessary should the need to do so arise

No alcoholic beverages or illegal substances will be brought into the building. No smoking in the building

Staff members may have to be required to carry a weapon and using restraining devices

Characters may be anyone that is male including but not limited to band members, band managers, actors, models... etc. Original characters are welcomed as long as you have pictures of what they look like. Theres is no limit on the amount of characters you have as long as you are active. Please don't let it get out of hand.

No God moding. This is NEVER acceptable. Only play and control your own character and let everyone else play there own. If you really have to control another character then make a second character

No death of a character permitted. If you need or want to quit playing a character be nice and make them move away so someone else can pick up the character later. We do not require a new member picking up a previously played character to keep the storylines unless they would like to. If you absolutely must have a character die please contact a Mod and we'll see what we can work out. Please let a mod know that you are leaving so we can open that character up to someone else

Male pregnancy is allowed. Please contact a mod to be approved first! Many different kinds of relationships are allowed, just like in real life. Marriage and Divorce is allowed without the concent of a mod. Polyamorous relationships are allowed and incest is allowed if that truly makes you happy. Pretty much anything goes in less it causes too much of a controversy.

Please come to a MOD about all plot altering events that occur in your story line before doing something that could majorly impact the community as we know it. These kind of things include but are not limited to run aways involving your character or multiple characters, pregnancies (see above rule) and false pregnancies.

Please let a moderator know if you will be gone for a long period of time. We will set your character to a haitus

Role playing in any form is allowed, third person most commonly used.

Please somehow separate actions from dialogue (EX: I walk over to you and smile "Hello" ) if you need help please let someone know

Unbeknownest to the general public, a secret government organization has been established. Its soldiers, coming from all around the world, have been given state of the art gene and psychotherapy to give them abilities beyond the average person's. The soldiers come from all around the world, their specific strengths and accomplishments causing them to be brought into the group. Run by Sector 7, a facility that does not exist by legal standards, the members of the organization call themselves Autobots. Their leader is a man, codenamed Optimus Prime.

However, the second in command - codenamed Megatron - grew uneasy and power hungry. He, along with others, were tired of using their abilities for the greater good. Feeling that they were superior to common people, Megatron organized a rebellion. The soldiers who were on Megatron's side left with him and called themselves Decepticons. Megatron leads them now, their current location unknown.

Now the Autobots must protect the world as well as search for Megatron and his Decepticons, while trying to maintain as normal as a life as they possibly can...

Summary:

For awhile all was peaceful at the Kamiya dojo, but like the changing times of the Meiji era, that peace is never guaranteed to last forever either.

himura_gumi is a post-Jinchuu Rurouni Kenshin roleplay. We are looking for players to take on the roles of some of the favorite characters from the series. At Temple Academy, we welcome teenagers from all backgrounds. This is not a traditional boarding school; the students are not sent here for behavioral issues. We are one of the best educational institutions in North America and strive to keep it that way. Teachers and students are held to the highest level of decency, as strong morals and values are of the utmost importance at Temple Academy. Make yourself home here in our school. We accept anyone from all over the world, from ages fourteen to nineteen to come study here at Temple Academy.

We also welcome different teachers to join in on our ranks. Teachers must apply and be over the age of twenty-two and have a degree in a specific field, such as science or history. Here at Temple, we already have the works ie: Art, History, Psychology, Foreign Languages, Music, PE, English, Science, Math and Home Economics and we are very welcome to more and different things that may be out there.

Grades are always important and we wish to have each and every student who attends here achieve the most they can from our institution, we strive for excellence. Teachers are expected to assign homework weekly and to help the student achieve the best that they can.

Housing:

Students are welcome to having the option of having a single depending on their state. Upperclassmen/women have the first option at a single dorm room and will be able to contact the headmaster, beforehand if interested. Our single roomed bedrooms have a double bed, closet, bathroom, window, night table, bureau, internet connections and a phone line.

We offer a two bedroom dorm room for our students; each room will have a bathroom, two normal sized closets, a bunk bed that can be changed into two twin sized beds if taken apart, a window, night table, internet connections, and phone lines. In some rooms, our students will have two bureaus instead of two separate closets.

Teachers are assigned apartments to live in while on campus. After having been in position for an amount of time, they will be given the option to move to a house on or off campus.

Ascendant is set two years after the events of Deathly Hallows, in a world that is far from fixed. Vigilante groups are springing up on both sides, and the better world the Order of the Phoenix was fighting for seems to be slipping away.

Hogwarts is rebuilt sufficiently to provide its students with an education, allowing those whose NEWT year was cut short to return for one final year before going out into the world. Some of those who had been in what once had been the DA have now started Quango, a wizard peace corps made up of young people who are dedicated toward rebuilding the wizarding world.

But things can not stay so peaceful for long. Extremists are beginning to re-group; the Ministry for Magic has been blown up, and many witches and wizards killed or injured in the process, and others still have plans for more subtle and devastating waves of deaths.

A group of muggle-borns targeted in the Great War have now banded together, calling themselves Broadsword. They use muggle weaponry and gang tactics to strike fear into the hearts of Purebloods, deeming themselves the bringers of justice for Muggleborns everywhere.

Slytherins of all ages are now a target of hatred, no mater their involvement in the war, and it seems the calm before the storm is about to end.

Who will you be? A member of Quango working for change? A terrorist creating chaos to further their personal goals? Someone just trying to find their place in the world? Or will you be caught in the crossfire?

You must be 18 to play.
Ascendant RPG is a canon compliant (but not Epilogue compliant) game. We have a cast of wonderful players who are experienced and eager to plot with someone like you.
