I saw Ris Paul Ric tonight, it was really good. I also bought his CD off of him, and he signed it with: "ooo This record comes out today 11/1/05!!! This is also the first one I've ever signed! Signature here: (and then he signed his sig)."

It was a really cool, except he didn't play purple blaze, which I was hoping for, hah.
It was the weirdest line up of bands ever though. First a hardcore scream deal, then a indie-type Christian band, then Ris Paul, then some loud punk band which is the point I left at, and there were still 2 more bands.

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v294/piemessiah/rispaulric.jpg I didn't take it, and it wasn't the show I was at, but I thought you might think it was nifty. He was wearing the Ris on his eyes anyway.

YOU ARE INVITED.

I really, really, really, really, really, really [etc] miss the Dismemberment Plan and thus…
You are invited to a ‘Dismemberment Plan’ party. What is a Dismemberment Plan party? Let me tell you a bit about it.

We will listen and sing-along to Plan records, CDs, tapes, bootlegs, etc. We will share our favourite Plan memories. We will drink champagne and clear, expensive drinks. We will have a competition to see who can imitate Travis Morrison’s sweet on-stage moves; extra points if you can pull off the face AND the hot hip action. You are also invited to help me compile a lengthy list of ideas for ways to reunite the Plan. We will have a fully amazing time. And that’s just the start.

You can wear a full-out costume [there are so many possibilities] or you can wear a shiny shirt or a nice, pink push-up bra or too much liptstick, etc. You can bring champagne or black coffee or clear, expensive drinks and such. You can also bring your Plan shiz. Anything remotely rare should be shared with everyone; we all want to hear it. Essentially, if you love the Plan even an ounce as much as I do, you need to be at this shindig because it’s going to be a night of Plan-love. Ya dig?

Technical details:
Saturday, November 26th at Wuthering Depths at 7pm
Wuthering Depths is located at the corner of the 86th and 26th in Loyal Heights [Seattle, WA]. It is a yellow house with a white top. Go through the driveway and through the fence and down the stairs to the blue light basement.

I hope you can make it. It’s never just another Saturday night; not with you in attendance.
RSVP to: alina[at]mtfujirecords[dot]com

xo alina airheart

That was a sad night. I'm surprised nobody has posted yet so I guess I will do it.

I must say, that was definetly their best show. They played songs I had never heard before live. The crowd was amazing too, everyone was into it, sing, pushing, dancing, it was great. Surreal.

A lot of indie celebrities there too. I heard Henry Rollins but that was not confirmed, I saw Manhunter, all the Black Eyes, Ian Mackaye, etc.

What did you think?

My friend filmed the show and I'll give you more information about getting it later.

Q and Not U 9/20

Last night I went to the Q and Not U show at The Knitting Factory in NYC. It was absolutely amazing. SuperSystem opened and they were pretty good. My friends and I unknowingly saw them at Quiznos before the show. Their bassist was like cracked out on stage. It was great. Then Q and Not U came on and played a damn good 2 hour-ish set. I don't remember the exact order of the songs and all the songs they played but I'm pretty sure they played Soft Pyramids, So Many Animal Calls, Black Plastic Bag, This Are Flashes, Everybody Ruins, When The Lines Go Down, A Line in The Sand, And The Washington Monument Blinks Goodnight, Sleeping The Terror Code, Wonderful People, L.A.X., Wet Work, and X-Polynation.

I took a few pictures:

SuperSystem:

Q and Not U:

I have an extra ticket to each of the last two shows. Since it looks as though nobody wants to come with me, I am going to end up going alone and selling my tickets.

So, if you want to buy my extra tickets from me, let me know. Just leave a comment.

PS. Also, if anyone could walk with me from the Metro to Black Cat? That would be most appreciated because small Asian girls shouldn't walk alone in DC at night.

A Plea For Tickets

Hey everyone. Does anyone have 3 extra tickets (or know anyone with 3 extra tickets) for either the |September 22nd show or the 23rd show? My boss made me wait for a week before he told me I could take the days off and then I find out that the 22nd show has just sold out. If I can't get tickets, I'm beating the shit out of him.

Just reply to this with the number of tickets you have for sale, the days you have them for, and how much you want.

Thanks.
