| SAN DIEGO - "Terminator Salvation" won't hit theaters until next summer, but thousands of fans got an early look at a portion of the film Saturday.
Director McG presented never-before-seen footage during a Comic-Con panel and offered a few hints about what to expect from the highly anticipated fourth installment in the "Terminator" franchise.
For example, Arnold Schwarzenegger could be back.
"The T-800 model indeed is part of the mythology of Terminator," McG said coyly, referring to the machine model California's governor played in the first three films.
James Cameron, who directed the first two "Terminator" films, and special-effects master Stan Winston, who died in June, also each had a hand in the film, McG said, adding that Winston made a cameo appearance.
"He wrestles one of the hydrobots," the director said.
The movie, now shooting in New Mexico, could end up with an R rating rather than the rumored PG-13, McG revealed.
"We put the picture first at all times," he said. "If it's an R-rated picture, it's an R-rated picture and that's that."
He acknowledged that the studio is responsible for some of the online rumors.
"We release, like everyone else does, misinformation campaigns," McG said. "One of the joys of going to the movies is not knowing what's going to happen."
The brief clip shown Saturday was filled with explosions, tanks, gas masks, guns and crushed skulls.
Set in 2018, the film is dark and apocalyptic, "exploring what the world is like after a nuclear holocaust," the director said. "We wanted everything to feel like giant Soviet tanks crushing all comers."
"Terminator Salvation," a Warner Bros. release, is set to hit theaters in May.

| Hurrah for Saturday. Hurrah for sleeping in today. Hurrah for going for
cheesesteaks in a little while.
Had a good night last night. Friend of mine's favorite aunt was in town,
and she wanted her aunt to meet her weirdo friends. So I drove by and
snagged Amythest, we went by
Target to get stuff for the party, cheese for the buffalo burgers that were
planned and fruit for dessert. We also looked at pool toys for
Nymaz's new place, and I
snagged a battery powered shark toy that's black and neon green. *grin*
Also, got a copy of the latest Discovery Channel dvd release of shark shows.
So it started as a very sharky evening. *grin*
Get to Pat's place, say hi to everyone, meet the aunt. Nice lady, fun to
talk to. Dinner was good, buffalo is yummy. We chatted about all kinds of
subjects, including the new catch phrase of the week. 'Kitchen glock'.
Always good to keep a gun in the kitchen, in case of food critics ;)
Headed home around 1am, after lots of chatting. Dropped off
Amythest, came home to hyper
ferrets who needed to play NOW. So they played while I tried to stay awake.
Finally went to sleep around 3am.
A very good start to my weekend. Now, to order and get lunch, and then
figure out the rest of my day. Ciao people :)

| I am completely freaked out about this housing shit :(((( I e-mailed HOAS on Thursday, but no reply so far and I don't think they'll reply with anything else but "sorry, we have no offers"... We are searching for a place to rent with Noora and maybe Suvi too, but this had no luck yet as well. And now I am all scared as fuck that what if I went through all of this now, but won't be able to come because of no place to live???!!!! :S

| Ich fühl mich wieder so leer, inhaltslos. Vorwärts getrieben von der Maschinerie der wirtschaftlichen Arbeitsintegration der IV. Zukunft ungewiss. Ich lebe vor mich und bin durchaus auch aktiv in gewisser hinsicht (sogar viel mehr im Vergleich mit anderen Phasen meines Lebens), aber vieles ist so... unbedeutung und verschwindend. | I had a dream about demon housecats that could spread madness and disease to the people they bit or clawed. Other felines were immune to it.
Went to the city and kissed boys. The Australian boy was a very aggressive kisser and it was rather sexy. Came home and slept for a good 15 hours, which was nice. Two months with moderate insomnia is no fun at all.
I keep pulling muscles in my shoulders.
Mark wants to see my old sketchbook. Sometimes I think maybe I'll start drawing again.. then I get distracted by my books.

| I guess I've gotten out of habit of posting over the last three months or so. Been a lot going on since I last posted. The new job has gotten crazier. I was gone for 3 weeks, one week at Apple's WWDC in San Fran, and two weeks in Alaska. I got a new iPhone at work (which is really shiny), and a new HD tv at home (which is really really shiny).
On the downside, the whole 2000 core cluster thing fell through, and, because running got a little sparse during the construction of it, I ended up getting hurt--with two separate injuries, which I'm just recovering from.
My training is picking back up finally. August is a nice race month, I could probably race every weekend this month if I wanted to. I don't think it will go that far, but I think it might be two weeks for sure. Until then, it's back to building miles. | | Comments | To The Wolves | |

| Matt won some cinema vouchers from his work place this week and took us all to the cinema on Tuesday. We went to see Wall-E.
There's no doubt that the little guy is really cute, and I wouldn't say no to having one run around the house, but I found the film quite boring to be honest. But then I'm still to find a Pixar film that really appeals to me. They never seem as good to me as people make out that they are.
What I am really looking forward to seeing is The Dark Knight, and we're hopefully going next week. And if the Watchmen trailer is attached, then it will be a double squee. If you haven't seen the trailer for Watchmen yet, go check it because it's just freaking amazing.
Been a bit of a film week really because this week we also watched Eagle Vs Shark on DVD, mainly because Jemain from Flight of the Conchords was in it. If you like Napoleon Dynamite, you'll like this film too.
Oh, and I'm pretty sure that this Sunday is the BBC's Doctor Who Prom, so there's going to be some Doctor Who and other 'space' related music being played :D | | Comments | 1 Day | To The Wolves | |
