10:18 am - Get this on Digg

nuclearbastard
You may have seen the site referenced below on the Top Viewed for today on YTMND. I think more people need to see this. The best way to do that is to Digg it.

We have had too many things show up on Digg that are not original, too long, or just not funny. This, on the other hand, is original, creative, shows effort, and above all else: it's short. Digg this so more people see it!

2:15 am - Colbert + YTMND Remix... 2+2=5?

nuclearbastard
So there is a YTMND that was published a while ago that was actually publicized on The Colbert Report as part of the Green Screen Challenge: http://ipodcolbert.ytmnd.com

There is also a very good YTMND Remix contest submission that was good enough to be recognized in that contest, as well as earn a place in the YTMND Soundtrack: http://tubesdance.ytmnd.com

Now when the Colbert Report aired the iPod commercial parody, they put their own music up because of copyright issues with the Caesars over use of that song. That got me thinking: What if another YTMND song had been used in it's place? Double the awesome? Perhaps this is an example where something is greater than the sum of it's parts.

To test that theory, I submit the following: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9cdbas62oLQ

Hello, I just joined. Name's Brett, and my username on YTMND is WurlitzerStereophonic.

I've only recently decided to start making ytmnds of my own. Here's my only two so far:

http://bobafrett.ytmnd.com/
http://nathanlikescoffee.ytmnd.com/

Tell me if the 4/4 sync on the second one isn't working.

And that's all for now.

Also, Poland.

Those of you in NYC area: Some guys are trying to get together for an unofficial YTMND convention.
Please don't raid the Church Of Scientology NYC while you're there? Oh hell, raid them twice.

12:39 am - Internet War = Srs Business

nuclearbastard
So I just spotted http://ebuamhate.ytmnd.com/ on the UaC... Oh wow. They really don't get that this is not just because of the media form we use, but because of our desire to maintain control over our work!

We have to figure out a better way to deal with eBaum's repeated offenses. Their forum people are obviously retarded, their management doesn't care because of their lawyers, and direct attack makes us criminal.

Now last time there was a massive coordination between a bunch of forum groups around the Internets all attempting to bring down eBaum's World's site and forums. It was a massive success, if you consider criminal actions and terrorism successful (we'll talk about the definition of terrorism later).

Idea: Can't we just arrange a massive anti-eBaum's World smear campaign + national boycott of the site? Anything on eBaum's World can be found elsewhere, and I know we have a voice on some geek media outlets, like AotS, maybe even This Week In Tech (AKA, TechTV's "The Screensavers" for your iPod). If we can synchronize such an effort with the same guile and passion as we did with the last 100 Hour War, we can certainly get some real results this time.

Therefore brothers (Also CheekyGirl and SyncansGirly :), I say press Ctrl-C on your Ping commands, log off your University shell accounts, and get Boo Maga on the phone. It's time to show who is the greater of the two entities. It's time to Man the fuck up now, dog!

12:20 am - Holy crap, I'm famous!

nuclearbastard
OK, so in case you have been wondering, I have been spending a lot of my time recently split between two activities: Finding and then keeping a job (more on that later), and making new YTMNDs. Danielle hates it because she feels that I spend too much time there, but I think this website is a good creative outlet for geeks and other bored people.

The reason I mention this is because I have recently reached a new pinnacle of popularity. There is a website out there called Tubgirl. If you have never heard of this thing, DO NOT ATTEMPT TO FIND IT! This website is infamous for being horribly grotesque and inappropriate for any environment, so please don't try to go there.

Anyway, a friend of mine had made a few websites where he jokingly tries to describe very visual websites verbally. I decided to make a website satiring that goal by making it appear that I was describing this travesty of a website.

You can find the result at http://tubgirl-blind.ytmnd.com/

Within a few days, I had made about 20,000 hits on this thing, my most popular website to date. Then today, someone sends me the link below:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pq5bsp3rWQE

Yes, that's right. I'm on YouTube. Hi Dad! Aren't you proud???
