Hi. I just wanted to introduce myself. I'm sure all of you that have been members for a while hate everyone joining and introducing themselves, but.... that's what I'm doing. I'm a pretty new fan to Tegan and Sara. I'm a 16 year-old, male, community college student from a crappy I-5 town in Washington state. I started listening to them only a couple months ago when I became obsessed with the song "My Number".Since then they have made their way to number two on my last.fm charts.(Which may have something to do with 428 plays of "My Number" alone.)I've since acquired all of their albums and converted at least 4 of my male friends into T&S fans.
I don't feel like I have much more to say, and I don't want to take too much of your time. So if you want to know anything at all about me, just ask. Also, you all are welcome to read my journal, if you ask. If you don't mind reading about random obsessions in my life, including certain women, and mood disorders.

I just received Tegan and Sara's So Jealous cd for Christmas... and was thrilled! It played perfectly on my parent's cd player, but now that I've tried to play it in my computer-- the only way i have to play a cd-- it won't work. It comes up with a video on the making of instead, which i've cancelled out. I then can't open the directory using winamp, so I really am at a loss. I want to play the cd, and have it not be a waste of money.. but unless I can get it to play in my computer, its just a disc with some nice art.
Any suggestions, since I'm figuring someone else has maybe run into the problem?

Ok, now something else I wanted to say . . .
I'm really new to T&S. I run the above mentioned site, and one of our designers (Julie Morris) just submitted that theme recently. After checking into the community and figuring out what the main sites, forums, etc are (as I have to do for each page we put up), I've discovered how awesome the T+S fanbase is.
Some artists on the site are pretty big - for instance, Eminem. However, it was nearly impossible for me to find four good eminem links for his page. He just doesn't have dedicated fans in online communities like Tegan and Sarah. Finding locations for T&S, on the other hand was, EASY. The .net and the .org are owned and maintained by fans, and there's a ton of great LJ communites and a good forum too. I just wanted to say I felt really inspired by how close knit and diehard their fans are.
In an effort to get the word about this out, I'm x-posting this too - so I apoligize if it appears a bunch on your friends page or whatever.
You guys rock.

Hello fellow fans, so we from teeandess.co.uk are sending a huge brithday card to tegan and sara this month and have just a week and abit before it is sent off to canada. I'm new here. Just wanted to introduce myself. I'm 28 and you can call me Amos. I will eventually share with you some t&s pics from a concert at the Gothic theater in Denver. The girls were fantastic but the crowd was not as energetic as I had hoped. Anyway, I'm glad to have found this community and will post more later. ;^P

If anyone is in the Dallas/Fort Worth area or isn't and would like to drive here Tegan and Sara are playing tomorrow at this place called Axis, but is $10 per ticket. The address to that is 120 South Main Street, Fort Worth TX 76104-1219. The doors open at 8:30 p.m. and its all ages/general admission. Hope some of you guys can make it.
