News. [01 Mar 2007|11:17pm] speedwayjunky Hey folks! I found this statement from Anastasia in an article and thought I'd share it with you. "Unfortunately, I have to pull out of the Qatar Total Open in Doha, Pacific Life Open in Indian Wells and the Sony Ericsson Open in Miami as a result of the surgery on my left foot, which took place in January. At this moment, I am in the process of rehabilitating my foot. Thus far, my rehab has been going well and I am hoping to rejoin the Sony Ericsson WTA Tour starting with the clay court season in April. I will be following the Tour very closely and wish these first-class tournaments much success." Some good news, finally. ----- Luke. // Comment

Australian Open. [08 Jan 2007|09:30pm] speedwayjunky Hey folks! Bad news, unfortunately; Anastasia has withdrawn from the Australian Open because of a toe injury. She aggravated it during her first round loss to Gisela Dulko in Auckland, and immediately after the match her Australian Open campaign was put in doubt. :( This means I won't get to see her play. :( They often televise her matches her on pay television. The most important thing is that she recovers and is able to put in a strong season, cos us fans (and her herself, I hope) expect big things from her in 2007. ----- Luke. 2 // Comment
