Is this tattoo possible?

I am planning on getting two tattoos for the new year. One is a tribute to my literary love for Sherlock Holmes, a simple text tattoo saying 221B. My second tattoo is in tribute to Sherlock the BBC series, which has a very special place in my heart and has helped me through a lot of hard times. The second tattoo is more complicated than the first and I worry it might not be possible. The text within the black squares would be empty space while the rest of the tattoo is simple black ink. If it can be completed, I worry it will look like crap over time or will need to be redone x10000 because it will not be a large tattoo (perhaps it will go on the back of my neck or on my tricep). What do you think?

I've recently finished a design I want for a back tattoo (specifically between the shoulder blades). This is the finished product:

I'm thinking about maybe removing some the smaller lines from the wings and head. Do you think this would work as a back tattoo? How much do you think it would cost? How much time do you think it will take?

Hi. I'm pretty inexperienced when it comes to tattoos. I have one tattoo of a simple support ribbon on my outer ankle, which didn't hurt at all while I was getting it (except maybe when my leg fell asleep...>.>) Now I'm planning my next tattoo: a phoenix between my shoulder blades (which will be in black and gray); beneath the phoenix, I want there to be a banner which reads "Mercury." I've been drawing up my design for a while now, trying to get everything perfect. Then, of course, I'll need the cash to make this baby come to life. BUT...before all that business, I wondered if anyone had some advice on how to prepare for this type of tattoo? I've only met one person with a tattoo in the same place I want, but she had her tattoo fully colored and her design was much more intricate. Her tattooing required two sittings and was pretty expensive. Do you think my tattoo would take multiple sittings? And considering the placement I want, is there anything specific I should wear to make things easier? - or is getting topless for this pretty much a requirement?

Hallo~, My a name is Cernnunae, and I'm new here, and this past Friday night I added the sixth piercing to my body~ and I LOVE IT. I don't think it would be appropriate to show a picture of it here lo although it's very pretty~ ;p
I have(in order) both my earlobes pierced , my nipples both pierced, my septum pierced and stretched to 10g, and my newest A Christina piercing. I love all my piercings and consider them very much part of my body <3 Just stopping by and saying hello and introducing myself~

So this weekend was the Montreal tattoo convention which means I got to be with everyone I love at the same time so I took advantage of that and got a portrait tattoo and a facial cutting.

Yes, it is Leo and yes, I am serious.

Here is my new chin piece! My boss and I decided to get our faces cut together after planning it for the last few months. Efix cut us up good!

A couple of weeks ago I got my forehead branded. It's still healing but when it's done I'll post more pictures. Stoked to do the rest of my face!

That was 6 hours after the procedure.

The next day after I washed it for the first time.

Nose/Monroe piercing

I have had a nose ring and monroe stud for about 7 years. I'm about get to get a job that hates piercings so I will have to take both of them out while I am at work. So, my question is, how long will it take a nose piercing and monroe piercing to close? I've heard that monroes can close up in a few minutes, I just want to make sure. Thank you.

Vertical labret

I have a few piercings, though not as many as I'd like. I haven't gotten any in a few years, and I want to start getting more. I just took out my tongue piercing, because I'd had it for 3 1/2 years and my boyfriend and I were just kinda over it.

What I'd like to get is a vertical labret, however, my boyfriend and I are both kind of big and clumsy, so I'm a little worried. I'm afraid it won't heal right or something because we'll somehow mess it up. Is it particularly difficult to kiss and such with a vertical labret and not irritate it? Does anyone have any experience with having a vertical labret, and also being a clumsy doofus with an equally clumsy and doofus-like boyfriend? I'm kind of prone to some scarring/swelling, which comes and goes for like a year or two before finally going away with new piercings. I'm wondering if I should just do something that seems like it would be a little less easy to get caught on things, like just a normal labret or a monroe.

Hello everyone!

My name is Jessica. Currently I have my lobes stretched to 0g, my left helix pierced, both nipples and recently had my jestrum done (or vertical medusa, whichever you prefer). I have one small tattoo behind my left ear and plans for other tattoos in the future.

Anyways, my question. I've been stretching my lobes for about 2 years now and just yesterday, got to 0g. I've gone slowly and haven't forced anything, if it hurt, I waited. Basically I stretched passively, I'd wear one size until the next fit easily. I was at 2g for about 10 months and decided it was time to try 0g. I bought plugs (glass single flares) and tried and no way they were fitting. So over about 2-3 weeks I stretched up. I'd do a layer or two of teflon every other day and there was no issue there. Before each tape, I'd do a soak with warm water and use Bio Oil as lube.

Yesterday I decided to try the 0g to see if they fit because according to my gauge chart, my taped plugs were basically the same as my 0g. One went in easily (very slight push on my part but no forcing and it didn't hurt). The other wasn't ready so I taped that side up a bit, went to bed and tonight tried it again, and it went in the same was the other side did.

Problem is, they're a bit tender and hurty now. Nothing massive but distracting. Should I downsize? 2g to 0g is a bit of a jump compared to all my other stretches but I feel that because I didn't force things, there shouldn't be an issue, but yet, hurty.

Experiences? Advice? thanks.

Hello everyone, new member here. A little less than a week ago I got my conch pierced on my left ear (photo here), and I really want to get my right one done also. Basically my question is to anyone in this community who has both, if I should wait until this one has fully healed, or let them heal together at the same time.

My piercer said it's really just a matter of preference, but I'm curious as to experiences other people have had with them.

So, I got my nipples pierced December 23, 2009. They have yet to fully heal, and I've head it tends to take 6 months to a year, but I'm not sure if I'm on the right track. Every once in a while, I'll feel a slight throbbing, for no apparent reason. Their still crusty and dry at times. I don't believe their rejecting, but I'm going to include a good amount of photos and hopefully can get some good advice! :]

so i few weeks ago i noticed the bottom two front teeth were very irritated from the back. my tongue ring was most likely the cause but i waited a bit because i really loved my tongue ring. anyways, i finally took it out a few days ago and the back of my teeth are swollen and im having really bad pain. its been 2 days without it, and its not feeling any better. does anyone know what this is? the gum isn't receding it just looks swollen with a tiny infection. i cant get in the dentist for a few weeks, does anyone know anything about this type or gum infection?? or has this happened to anyone before? help please.

I got the same tattoo on both sides of my face a couple of months ago, It was a big step, but no one really notices them because my hair hides them! This is a day or two after they were done. I apologize in advance for the shitty camera pictures. As soon as I have access to a camera, I'll post healed pictures.

I keep getting emails from people asking about my cheek piercings. Yes, I did indeed take them out. Here are my scars:

I had those for so long and it was a shame to let them go but I just could not deal with them anymore.

I also included a picture of the scarification I got for my girlfriend. I think scars are a pretty legit birthday present.

And here is our faces for those of you who care.

Also, I'm considering removing my nostril jewelry for a while and shrinking them up so I can have them punched a little more evenly. I really like being at a 2g, but I think they might be a tad too big. What do you think?

Need advice on a tattoo design

Hey all,

I'm going to get an Orion's belt tattoo on the inside of upper arm (between elbow and armpit) but I don't just want three black dots or stars or anything like that. I'd really like something that looks like a picture taken in deep space surrounded by the night sky and other less bright/obvious other stars. I also want the stars to be white or yellowish, rather than black. I know I need to talk to the artist so they can draw up something, but I feel like I'm not being articulate enough. Does what I just typed make sense or should I figure out a different way to explain what I want? I'm also going to take in the picture posted below, so the artist knows the colors I'm going after and all that.

I'd get a less of the surrounding stars though, keeping just enough to making it look full but not crowded.

Does anyone have anything similar to this style of space tattoo that I could see? Do you think this is a plausible idea if I find the right artist?

Nipple Piercing Question

I've looked all over the net and even around here too, and I still can't find a satisfactory for my questions. Please help me!

I've had my nipples done since September, they're fine, I enjoy changing the barbells regularly. But I'm thinking of switching to fixed bead rings instead. I have two specific questions though:

A) What size diameter should I order the ring in? I have rather large nipples, I was pierced with a 3/4 inch barbell, and wear 5/8 inch ones now that they're healed. So do I order the 3/4 inch diameter ring, so there will be close to 5/8 inches actually in my nipple?

And B) is having a ring in my nipple likely to distort it, curve it downward?

I ask these questions, because the rings I have my eye on are white gold, so they're going to be significantly more expensive than the surgical steel barbells I've been buying. I just don't want to purchase them and then realize I've made a mistake.

Also, if anyone has any advice/thoughts on whether this wearing rings are a good idea as far as comfort goes, I'd love to hear it. I've read a bit , it looks as though some find the rings uncomfortable because they pull the nipple down under the bra. Again, I just don't want to make a mistake. I can keep the barbells in if I'm more likely to be comfortable, I just think the jeweled rings are prettier.

I'm considering getting a microdermal above my navel, however, I am planning to have children some day. I know that when you're pregnant and have a navel piercing most of the time you have to take it out or wear a long flexible retainer, but I've never heard anything about microdermals. Does anyone know how they would react to pregnancy?

Nipple Piercings

Hey!

I was thinking about getting my nipples pierced, but I had a few questions that I was hoping someone could answer. First of all, what kind of bra should I wear after. A lot of people have been recommending sports bras for the first couple of weeks, but I have rather large boobs (30FF) so it's hard to find a sports bra that has a tight enough band and isn't too tight on my chest. I don't even know if 30FF is too large for nipple piercings... some people have been saying that larger ones take longer to heal... is that true? I've also read that you can put those little maternity nipple pads between your nipple and bra to prevent leakage and stuff on your bra, is that safe? Will it cause irritation to the nipple or will it still allow it to breathe? I have to get special bras... that sounds so lame... so it's hard to find ones that are 100% cotton. Does the material of the bra matter? Could I just wear those nipple pads and still wear my normal bra? Ugh! I'm sorry for all of the questions. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I've been thinking of getting my tragus done for a while now, but lately it seems that I am liking the idea more and more. As an issue of symmetry, I would like to have both done at the same time.

Has anyone had both tragui done in the same sitting (or other, relatable piercings)? What were your experiences and challenges*, both during and aftercare?
