Hey. I just came back from seeing Cathy Rigby in her farewell tour of Peter Pan. It was amazing.

In order for me to properly show my excitement in my post, I threw together these icons.
The pictures come from the Peter Pan the Musical website.

I've always loved the story of Peter Pan, when Wendy grew up it was so sad and bittersweet and I loved the idea of a place where you don't grow any older, and there are fairies and pirates and mermaids. I especially loved the last Peter Pan movie I saw with Jeremy Sumpter. He was so great! He really captured the mischievous side of him so well. I kind of have a crush on him. There I admit it! I wish I'd known a naughty little hottie like that when I was eleven... i've been a part of this community for almost a month now... (maybe longer... i'm not so great at keeping track of time) so i thought maybe i should say something...
is anyone else bummed as hell by the fact that there probably won't be anymore peter pan oriented movies in... i dunno, forever. don't get me wrong, you can go all the way back to mary martin playing peter pan and say that we fans have had it good, but i'm going to miss the anticipation. waiting for 'finding neverland' was more excitement than i've had in a long time (and it was anticipation well given might i add) but now, you can pretty much say that peter pan's had it's light. i don't think we'll be seeing much more of it in hollywood or entertainment (unless the musical makes some grand revival which i don't see... ) i dunno... makes me sad.

i got bored yesterday and made a peter pan themed page in my journal.

“All children, except one, grow up. They soon know that they will
grow up, and the way Wendy knew was this. One day when she was two
years old she was playing in a garden, and she plucked another flower
and ran with it to her mother. I suppose she must have looked rather
delightful, for Mrs. Darling put her hand to her heart and cried,
"Oh, why can't you remain like this for ever!" This was all that
passed between them on the subject, but henceforth Wendy knew that
she must grow up. You always know after you are two. Two is the

"Boy," she said courteously, "why are you crying?"

Peter could be exceeding polite also, having learned the grand
manner at fairy ceremonies, and he rose and bowed to her

Hi! I've wanted to buy the Peter Pan book for a long long time, but I want an specific book. I won't buy the first one I find in a shelf, no no, I want an old editing, maybe second-hand or something, the thign is I want it to be hard cover, I don't know yet if I want an ilustration or not, maybe just a brown-redish hard cover (like those old books in libraries) would be fine, with yellow smelly pages.
Does this happen to you? That you don't only want a book but oyu know exactly how you want it, otherwise you won't buy it.

I've not found yet the book of PP that I've described, and I think it will take a long time :(

Hullo. I'm not sure what really to say, but I'm new. I love Peter Pan (the book especially) and I can't imagine not believing in fairies or ever growing up.

I kind of cling to my childhood and I really don't care. I can't be forced to act more adult when I don't want to anyway.
