When: Nov. 26 around 3:30 p.m.
Where: Owlery
Who: Open
Miley made her way up the icey steps to the owlery. She pulled her coat tighter around herself as she nearered the top. On the last step she stumbled on some ice but was able to compose herself quickly. As she entered the owlery the smell became pungent and she wrinkled her nose in distaste. Looking around she spotted a brown owl with white specks and made her way over to it. The bird seemed to perked up and eyed her as Miley neared. "Hello Evan," she greeted and stroked the owl's feathers. She knew that if she didn't come and visit him she'd never see Evan. It wasn't as if she had a bunch of letters to write.

Luna sat at the round table in the Room of Requirement chewing her thumbnail thoughtfully. Harry had taken the seat beside her, but he wasn't saying much. Neville was there too, waiting for Ron and Hermione to show up, so they could get to work on the boxes.
((ooc: closed to the characters mentioned above.))
Where: Astronomy Tower (homework catch-up).
Why: To get me back into RPing; it's been a while. I also want to use Zacharias. :)
Whom: Open to all.
The Astronomy Tower stairs were dark, as always. Zacharias Smith wasn't the most stable on his feet, and a well-placed chip off of one of the stairs caught under his foot. He stumbled over his pyjama bottoms, trying to regain his footing as quietly as possible. After a few seconds where he paused to make sure that no one was running to the noise, he continued up the now-deemed "deathtrap". Stepping carefully, he made it up to the door without any more incident.
You idiot, why didn't you just use a spell to see? he thought to himself, and answered aloud (though he didn't realize it), "Pointless." He twisted the doorknob, pushing the door to open simultaneously, Zack slid inside and shut the door as quickly and quietly as he could. With a smile, he realized he was alone in the darkness (his only light coming from the moon), pulled his parchment, quill and ink out of his little pack, meandered over to a station with a telescope, and set to work.
After a few minutes of quiet study, he heard soft steps on the stairs. He paused in his work to listen as they came closer.
Romilda Vane was waiting. She had seen Harry and Ginny Weasley entering an empty classroom when everyone said they were still broken up. She was waiting for Harry in their common room, intending to get answers.
Where: Great Hall and the surrounding Hallways
Who: Open
What: A Prank
Micah slipped into the Great Hall before anyone else had risen for the day. Casting a Notice Me Not charm, he crouched underneath the Slytherin table and set to work. Quickly and quietly, he began casting the spells that would create his precious Smoke Ghosts; Slowly, comical images formed of the smoke, semi-transparent, and quite odious as well. Grinning madly, he cast the final enchantments as they groaned and made lame jokes amongst themselves, their creaky laughter echoing through the hall.
Once all was set, Micah scurried away, shutting the doors securely behind himself. That would contain the 'ghosts' until everyone arrived for breakfast.
((OOC: These are not just ghosts made of smoke that tell increasingly lame and rude jokes. They explode into a shower of musky dust when someone attempts to dispell them. Have fun everyone! I'll be playing the ghosts.))
When: Nov. 26. late afternoon
Where: Gryffindor common room
((Set up for Ginny but open))
Milo sat on the sofa in the Gryffindor common room staring aimlessly into the fire. He twirled his quill between his fingers, his essay lay abandoned on the coffee table. He had gotten half way through it, and was quite proud of himself for it, before his concentration started to wander. He sighed and slouched down further, bored.
Where: Library
What: Hermione's tired, but in a good mood despite it.
When: November 21, 1997
Note: Posted in Hannah's journal until I get Hermione's up and running.
( Open thread for Megan to get used to Hermione! )
Neville was pacing. He hadn't been able to sleep much after his vision, and was worried beyond his normal level of worry. The Room had taken on the form of the DA's training room, with a few more wards Neville could now recognize. He'd set it to only allow Luna, Harry, Ron, and Hermione, other than himself, inside.
He paced up and down the length of the room, trying to make sense of all that had happened to him. He hadn't asked to see the future in his dreams, and as time went on, the vision were disturbing him more and more.
If they weren't such an asset currently, he'd be trying his hardest to get rid of them.
Where: On the large front steps leading to the school
Who: Open to any and everyone
Mandy stretched herself out arching her back with satisfaction. She'd been doing some studying during her free period and needed a break. Her studies were going well enough in hopes of making it into the Healer Program at St. Mungo's at the end of the school year. The sky was grey and a breeze played about her tendrils of hair and the skirt of her uniform. She would enjoy some company, but given everyone's suspicions of one another, she felt like simply walking p to people was out of the question...
Where: Outside
Who: For Hannah but open to anyone
Ace sat on the steps that led up to the entrance waiting for Hannah. He looked out at the Black lake and watched as the Giant Squid skimmed the surface. He had decided to not study for the day which was not normal but he knew he needed a break if he wanted to keep his sanity. It didn't really matter because he had all of his homework for the week done. Ace pulled his coat tighter and let out a sigh.

When Milo turned away, Luna nudged Harry a little harder. "Let's go somewhere."
Where: Library
Who: Hannah Abbott and open
Hannah walked along the corridors in a haze. She wanted to do something, but she just felt like everything there was to do, had already been done. This wasn't a typical feeling that she had, normally hopelessly optimistic Hannah would find at least something to do, or someone to bug for a while, but it seemed that everyone always had something to do. Now, granted, so did she splitting time between class work and helping at the Hospital Wing. But this was one of those rare days where nothing much was happening. She wandered the halls looking at this paining or another, getting rude looks from some of the portraits, and she finally stopped at a statue that never really made much sense to her. So she did the only logical thing. She stood there staring at it, willing it to make sense to her.
When: Saturday, 2:00ish
Nov. 22
Where: Library
Ace sat in the library, book open in front of him on the wooden table. A piece of paper lay to it's side with Ace's scribbles. He balenced on the chair's back legs while doodling on the edge of the book lightly, he just hoped Madam Pince wouldn't notice. He was completely bored with studying Ancient Runes, he didn't know why he signed up to take the class in the first place and was now paying for it.
((Friday, November 21st...5p.m. ish))
Blaise walked down to the grounds between the castle and the forest with Crabbe and Goyle. The two larger boys quietly flanked him. After Luca's departure, they were less worried about him than they had been, but they were still rather protective of Blaise. Had he stopped to think about, Blaise would have realized that he was becoming more comfortable with their attention. He had stopped thinking of the space between them as Draco's and started thinking of it as his place.
Without a flicker of expression Blaise looked for the other students in the L.V.S. Tracey had excused herself over an upset stomach. Blaise didn't believe she had one, but he hadn't argued with her about it. He could always tell her anything important later.
((ooc: Open to Miley and anyone brave enough to interrupt a meeting of mostly Slytherins.))
Having enlisted Tonks' help, Minerva made her way to Moody's office.
It was a long hallway, one very familiar to Neville. He had walked it many times while going to see his parents in the floors above. Harry was walking beside Neville, his head hanging down, his feet shuffling.
They arrived at the room they were heading for, and Harry walked in, holding the door open for Neville. Luna was lying in a bed in the center of the room, wearing a golden locket, emblazoned with a large stylized S. She was cradling a small bundle of white cloth, inside which something moved feebly, weakly. The green color of the walls set Neville on edge, as did the slight silvery glow emanating from the locket. The thing in Luna's arms cried out, it's voice sounding upset, but above that, old.
"Look, Neville!" Luna said, in an excited voice, "Isn't he beautiful? I think he favors Harry more than me, though. What do you think?" With that, she held out the bundle for Neville to see. He couldn't stop himself from looking down at the thing. It was thin. It had no hair. There was only a pair of slits where a nose should be, and it's eyes, it's eyes were large, green, and slitted. Neville recoiled in horror, and Harry took him by the shoulder and gently took him out of the room.
"I'm sorry, Neville, but I just can't...I can't do it. It's the only way I can...I know what he is, I can feel it, but I can't kill my own son."
Out of Harry's pocket, a glow shone, which coalesced beside him into the form of Tom.
"Is it true, Harry? Are you going to be my dad?" Tom said, soberly.
Harry looked at him sadly. "Yes. We hope that putting you back will..."
"I know, Harry. I don't like it, but your plan seems to be the only way. I just wish you had told me sooner. I could have opened them, and this..."
"Yeah. Can't go back now though. Hermione gave up her time turner." Harry said.
Neville listened to all of this, and sighed in resignation. He pulled out his wand in a flash, and in the same instant, so did Harry.
"You knew it would come to this, Harry," Neville said, "If you can't do what has to be done, I have to. That's always the way it's been."
"I know," Harry said sadly, "but I can't let you."
There was a flash as spells were fired between them...
----------------------------------------
Neville awoke in a sweat, but had the control not to scream or cry out. Quickly, his mind processed what had just happened, and just as quickly, he got to what it meant.
Silently, he got out of bed and into his dressing gown, and crept over to Harry's bed. Pulling back the curtains, he leaned in close, and just loud enough for Harry and no one else to hear, said, "Harry, wake up. We really need to talk."
It was partially true...
((November 21st....9a.m.))
Colin had a free period before his Muggle Studies class, so he decided to visit Lavender in the hospital wing. She was a fellow D.A. member and Gryffindor after all. He arrived with two bouquets of daisies and disarmed Madam Pomfrey by presenting her with one. "Since you take such good care of everyone," he explained.
Pomfrey lead him to the curtained area where Lavender was resting. "Ms. Brown, are you awake?"
((ooc: set up for Lavender obviously, but open to whomever.))
