Don't you hate those pre-depression symptoms? You're tired, you can't get excited about anything, your limbs feel heavy, your body hurts....

It's like part of you just has a "I don't wanna!" attitude about everything and anything. Then the other part of you says "you have to anyway."

I usually have to just push my way through and not allow myself to give into the "I don't wanna". When I do, that's when the depression starts getting worse. It's tiring to do that though. How do some of you guys cope with this?

lol. Yeah... that's was I did today. I was supposed to to go for a 1.5mi jog/ 1.5mi walk... three miles total. I couldn't get the motivation to jog though. So, I just walked four miles. =P Bit of a compramise, but I still got the exercise I needed.

I usually just give in to it and roll in it. I mean really feel it and then it passes. Eventually. I keep thinking I should try to get some meds for it, but I don't have health ins and its next to impossible to get on a public health type thing here in fort lauderdale. SO

that's what I do.

That's what I use to do, but I find it was harder to pull out of it. So, just try not to let it progress.

My depression usually comes with debilitating physical pain as well, so once I go down, I'm really down. I listen to a combination of really happy and really depressing music. Sometimes if I can induce the depression I can have better control over it and can end it sooner. Other times I do as much as I can and prepare myself to be down for a long time.

It always sneaks up on me... I don't suffer from major depression, so I don't realise I'm getting depressed until it's been going on a while! Recently, I've found out that people have been right when they've told me I should exercise! I finally found a form of exercise I don't hate, so I'm getting into that and I've been feeling a whole lot better because of it :)

But it's very hard not to give in to the apathy. I don't honestly know how to fight it. Just push through until it sucks less? Hmmm.

Sorry, not very helpful here :P But I hope you feel better!
