All the rumors can finally be put to rest, as Keith has given his forthcoming March 31st CD release a name. "Defying Gravity" will feature Keith's 18th Top 10 single "Sweet Thing."
"I've always approached making records as a journey where I just have to let myself go," said Keith. "If the conditions are just right the music will reflect the mood and feeling of where I am in my life."
"Defying Gravity comes from the lyrics of a song on the album and it just struck me at the time as a phrase that really defined the joyous, optimistic and uplifting spirit that seemed to show itself while making the album."
2009 is shaping up to be a busy one for Keith. This May will mark the launch of his "Escape Together World Tour," which will visit fifty-eight cities across North America. Keith will team with a different touring partner in each city, including superstars Sugarland and Taylor Swift, as well as Jason Aldean, Lady Antebellum, The Zac Brown Band and Dierks Bentley.

KEITH'S NEW ALBUM WILL BE RELEASED ON MARCH 31, 2009!!!

"Keith will hit the road again in 2009 with supporting acts including Sugarland, Taylor Swift, Dierks Bentley, Glen Campbell, Lady Antebellum, and The Zac Brown Band. The upcoming tour, which will kick off in May, comes following the release of his as yet untitled, 5th studio recording. The singer, who wowed fans and critics on his "Love, Pain & the whole crazy World Tour" during 2007-2008, is ready to deliver another pulse pounding NEW concert experience. Tickets will go on sale early next year for the tour that will kick off in May and likely extend through the summer.
"We intend to give people their money's worth, for sure" said Urban. "We're looking forward to seeing fans' reactions to the new material, and we're seeing how we can put a few new twists on some older material. We'll play for as long as the venues will let us."
Critics have lauded Keith as "one of the best reasons in the world to attend a live concert" and have been quoted as saying that "fans would be hard-pressed to find a much better country -- or rock -- show anywhere."
Keith recently released a new single, "Sweet Thing," which has been one of the top selling Country songs on iTunes since its release. His live concert DVD, "Love, Pain & the whole crazy World Tour," is currently available exclusively at all Wal-Mart stores."
