I am back! Hello! The holiday was really good, might post some photos later. In fact, I cannot think very coherently at the moment due to lack of sleep. I have travelled into the future you see! I lost all of Friday night and arrived home on Saturday morning. Thus is the case when you live in Australia.
Been trying to catch up on everything that's been going on while I was gone. Both last.fm and deviantArt have redesigned. Ahh change. It seems that at the moment, everyone is exploding over The Dark Knight (which I must see!) and Twilight (ha, I see that has not changed).
Well now that I am back, I have decided to make my LJ friend's only. So I'll be locking everything but art posts sometime soon. I've been doing sort of half friend's only for a while now anyway. Yeah.. will get around to doing it maybe tomorrow or whenever I wanna make a banner thingy. I don't know if people actually read my LJ who I'm not mutual friends with. But if anyone does, you can always say hey!
Anyhoo... Hope you are all well. I will make some more posts about stuff laters.

Dark Knight? Awesome. I want to see it again so bad. So BAD. (Dan/ dl that shit!) Posted to the community asking which was the song from the trailer because I bought the soundtrack and it wasn't there, just bits and pieces. Why was that? Because it was from the 1st soundtrack. (Now that they say that, it makes sense. I think it was on the 1st trailer for that movie too.)
Am listening to it now, I love it.
Really fell in love with Aaron Eckhart. Like A LOT.
My parents guilt tripped me into seeing their play. They called me 3 times in an hour last night and then I made the mistake of calling them tonight. I got roped in. *sigh* Children of Eden was the play, and I'm pretty much the black sheep of the play, I am the only one(except my bro Dane) who wasn't in it. I hated it, except my family's roles. They make me go to these things EVERY year, and I hate plays. I hate these plays because they are awful. Awful acting, singing, choreography, etc. Ugh.
Tomorrow is D's graduation party then we might go to bars. :D Need to figure out a present for him... he got me sake stuff and a shot glass. I don't want to get him something stupid, but I haven't seen him for so long, I don't know what he has already. It might just have to be a lame gift card. |

Do you ever sit in the presence of God and you just can't do anything but cry at the love you feel? That you can't remember why you love a certain tv show, or why you struggle in this are or that... because all you can feel and see and hear and breathe is the love of God just radiating? At the waters edge I see As your spirit speaks to me: Call to me and I will answer you, I’ll give you peace, a peace you have not known on your own. A friend of mine was being kind when she said to me "Christy's walk with God is like a rock concert and God is on the stage and He's so loud..." And while I appreciated that sentiment...and wish it was always true I had to say that sometimes God whispers. And I can't hear him or I won't listen because the world is drowning Him out....but thankfully He keeps speaking and I have to come closer so that I can hear Him. Sometimes I have to get so close to the Father, that I am close enough to hear a whispered word. Like a little kid does with their parent. Sometimes God has something so important to say, something so life changing that you have to be THAT close to hear Him. Sometimes it’s hard to hear Your voice, my God.

So yeah....today the most eventful thing went like this....
My mom comes into the living room, looks in the kitchen and goes "Where's Schminke?" (my dog)
Me: In there.
Her: No....and the front door is open
Me: YOU LEFT THE FRONT DOOR OPEN *runs out of the house and spends 45 minutes looking around the town for him...decided to give up, crying and feeling horrible! Then my moms car pulls up*
Mom: He was in the kitchen the whole time.
Me: WHAT?! *Gets in car, goes home, hugs Schminke for like 15 minutes*
So yeah, never ever letting that dog out of my site AGAIN! Anyways, I'm bored and Broadway secrets aren't new yet! So, I'm watching Chuck Bass Quotes...AKA Gossip Girl's BEST character! Him & Blair are OTP! Seriously, they are OOZING chemistry and are so alike and as Leighton Meester (Blair) said "Nobody understands Blair quite like he does"
OH I'm so excited for Sunday, My brother and I are seeing The Dark Knight! It was so funny, some of my brother's friends went to an NYC premerie and dressed up like the Joker and got on TV, and they are such dorks. I saw a pic of them before I saw the video and I went Noah, you're friends are nerds especially the one who dyed his hair and he got all indignant and went "THAT'S LOUIS, DON'T INSULT LOUIS!"
Speaking of guys (When am I not?), I saw Oklahoma last night and the guy playing Jud....HOT! You are not supposed to like Jud, but this guy was hot enough to make me like him!
Bought Rock Me Sexy Jesus from Hamlet 2 and my excitment for the movie continues to grow. My mom is going to sneak me into 2 movies this summer now: Stepbrothers & Hamlet 2. She wants to see both and I can't in without her which is SO stupid, I'm mature enough to see Will Ferrel and John C. Reilly build bunkbeds and bury each other and watch Skyler, Phoebe and the hilarious Steve Cougan be HILARIOUS!
Ugh! I was supposed to go to the gym today, NOPE! My mom didn't come home to go til 4:30 and I was not going to go that late. So I'm going tomorrow and to make up for today I did 200 sits ups instead of 100 and did 100 jumping jacks and a bunch of other things. LOVE MY LIFE!

Will someone please tell me why my father insists on watching a news program where he clearly thinks all involved are hacks?
Anywho, it's been a long twenty-seven hours. Last night, I worked the midnight show for The Dark Knight (we had to open FIVE screens for this movie. Two of them between the hours of six and ten-thirty when we were sold out completely. I think all and all we had 952 people in our biggest theaters (which only really hold 300 people at most, so they're not really big at all)). I got home around 1:30, went to sleep, and then got up 7:45 to be at work by 8:30 and got off at fiveish. It was insanity. It really, really was.
That being said, please, please cut your spoilers for Dark Knight. I probably won't be able to see it for a few weeks, and I really don't want to be spoiled beyond whether you liked it or not.

There are days were I question my liking for graphic design. It seems to me that the more I have to study about it, the more I seem to be disliking it, not that I ever proclaimed undying love and passion for this subject. But the course is almost over now and I'm just going to suck it up and finish it while working around my creative rut.
So I'm supposed to make a run to one of the (graphic design) printers today but I'm feeling like crap right now (cramps and the like) so I've been basically vegetating around the house. It started off with trying to find Project Runway (season 5 started this past Wednesday and I'm bummed because we don't have Bravo here :( ). Youtube is a fucktard for constantly deleting anything that isn't a personal home video. The links on show-links keep choking. I seriously need bittorrent.
I end up wasting away the entire day watching "Secret Diaries of a Call Girl". I had recently become undeniably addicted to "Doctor Who" and obsessively worship the Doctor/Rose, where personally when I get interested in characters I also get interested in other projects of the various actors/actresses. ( So... ) Now they just need to crank out series 2 quickly.
And, unfortunately, like "Doctor Who", "Secret Diaries" is a UK production so I'll have to be relying entirely on the internet for this. >.<
Oh, and a WTF for the day. Project Runway is ending it's airtime contract with Bravo and switching to Lifetime for season 6 onward. Okay, so maybe PR is more of a female and gay fanbase thing but who on earth watches fucking Lifetime? I only did once because Bella Mafia (with James Marsden!) was on it.
Ok, I need to get my ass off the chair and start on my drawing. At least I like my Life Drawing class. |

Мой компьютер окончательно умер, и все пароли с автоматическим входом в дневники, форумы итд тоже. Может где-то что-то найду среди старой кучи бумажек, поэтому пока отпишусь здесь. С одной стороны радостно, что куплю-таки новый комп (надеюсь на Макинтош), с другой стороны... бля, ладно пароли, но вся наша музыка, сэмплы, все исчезло бесследно :(( Какие-то файлы продублированы у Fleisch, но все мои незаконченные зарисовки погибли :( В следующий раз буду все копировать и рассовывать по разным носителям трижды, бля!..
Самое смешное, что компьютер сломался сразу после того, как я купила PlayStation 3. Приревновал видимо :) Ради Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots пришлось выложиться на игровую систему. Не то что бы я заядлый геймер, для меня игры - это такой же источник идей, как литература, кино и музыка. И поскольку хороший продукт сейчас редко встретишь, то единицы вроде Metal Gear Solid, Стивена Уилсона, Жана-Пьера Жене итд, становятся бесценными. И после первого прохождения MGS4 потраченных денег стало не жаль. Как-нибудь напишу еще об этом, японцы не умеют делать плохих вещей.
Кстати о Стивене Уилсоне и концерте Porcupine Tree, прошедшем 6 июля в Москве. Было замечательно. Писать рецензию нет желания да и не зачем, кто был - тот знает, кого не было - тому и не нужно, иначе бы был ;) Надеюсь, они еще к нам заглянут.
Посмотрела тут новый клип Милен Фармер, Degeneration. Музыка еще вроде ничего, пока не поставишь вслед любую другую песню - в сравнении отчетливее слышится простота "мелодии", граничащая с примитивностью. А клип я так и не смогла досмотреть, хотя два раза пыталась. Кого-то разочаровало обилие секса в клипе, кого-то - почти отсутствие Милен на экране. У меня же клип не вызвал вообще никаких эмоций. Ныть о том, что она изменилась, давно бесполезно и неинтересно. А слепо поддерживать любимого артиста я не умею, как бы дорог он мне не был. И мне как-то все равно и даже не обидно... Странно. Тем не менее я заказала "эдисьон лимитэ" ее нового альбома, может будет что-то стОящее. А нет, так продам через пару лет :)
Не знаю когда еще объявлюсь, ибо до Макинтоша еще накопить надо, и еще научиться им пользоваться о_о Так что всем всего наилучшего и до встречи! |

Para muchos este post no tendrá sentido alguno pero para los que me conozcan seguramente si lo tendrá:
Ayer me miré los tres primeros epis de Friends.
Y bueno... no sé, que queréis que os diga... No es que me mate mucho la verdad xD En ningun momento me reí, como mucho sonreí de vez en cuando (muy de vez en cuando). Si, algunas frases son ingeniosas pero es todo como muy... Acartonado xD No sé como explicarlo: vamos que uno dice una cosa, hay un silencio (se supone que para que la gente ria, creo) y luego habla el otro y así todo el tiempo. Tal vez es porque son los primeros y luego ya le van cogiendo el truco al asunto. Seguiré mirando e informando :p Pero que no se diga que no lo intento eh!
Fin del momento histórico...
Ayer también me miré el tercero o el cuarto (ahora no me acuerdo) episodio de Brothers and Sisters y yo me pregunto: ¿por qué son tan crueles con Justin? Imagino porque pero leches... pobrecillo míoooooooooooo.
Lo malo de esta serie es el tema politiqueo porque la verdad, me interesa más bien poco ¬_¬ |
