Does anyone have The Major and The Minor on dvd? If you do can you tell me if a line goes through a scene at the party for a split second? I'm trying to find out if it's just my dvd or if it's like that on everyone's.

I know this is late, but this place needs posting, anyways.
Today is Fred Astaire day on TCM (until 6 a.m. ET). From what I've seen it's mostly been his movies with Ginger. There are still three left to be shown: Roberta (12 a.m. ET), Follow The Fleet (2 a.m. ET) and The Gay Divorcee (4 a.m. ET).

Also, I was at Goodwill today when I found "Heartbeat" starring Ginger Rogers and Jean-Pierre Aumont. Of course I bought it. Just thought I'd share :)

Favorite Ginger film: "Shall We Dance"
Favorite other films: "Flying Down to Rio", "Star Wars" (how's that for a juxtaposition!), and "The Pink Panther" are among my many favourites. I'm quite promiscuous in my affections for movies.
Favorite actors and actresses besides Ginger:
Cary Grant is one of the best. I also love Audrey Hepburn, Katharine Hepburn, Robert Preston, Ann Miller, Buster Keaton, Clara Bow, and almost everybody, really. Listing the actors I don't like (at least in the first half of the century) would be a much shorter list.
How did you stumble across here? Well, the name _ginger_rogers rather gives the community away...
Any other comments? I like vids and vidding, which is popular for modern TV shows, but almost unheard of for classic movies. Now that so many are out on DVD, and thus easy to rip clips from, I'm going to try to make up for the deficit, starting with an Astaire & Rogers vid I've begun. I hope others (especially more talented others!) will also give it a try.
*Except for the once with Gene Kelly. But would Gene Kelly look as good in a dress?

Hello!
Im a new member to this community, which I think is great!Im 24 and live in the UK. I love all the classic films but musicals have to be my favourite, particularly the Fred and Ginger films. I know alot of people say that 'Top Hat' is their best movie but my personal favourite is 'Shall we Dance' and my favourite dance scene they do is 'Never gonna Dance'-I just love the dancing, the singing, the costumes.....
