Alright, since we've got quite a number of new members in the community and on twitter, we've decided it's a good time to make a 101 post about the comm and its maintainers.
This post has two parts, the first part is a mini FAQ on what the comm is all about -- feel free to skip it if you're an old member :)
The second part consist of mini bio of each mod, a great chance for you to ~creep :P
PART I - FAQ
Q: What is _fcbarcelona_?
A: _fcbarcelona_is an online community for culés from all over the world to talk about anything related to FC Barcelona in a mostly fun manner.
Q: What makes _fcbarcelona_different from other FC Barcelona communites or forums?
A: All the content in this community are user-generated, which means any member can post articles, pictures, videos, live match posts, translations, scans, etc. There are moderators in this community, but their job is mainly to ~keep the peace~. As we've said earlier, this isn't a formal community where everything has to be serious. It's just football, afterall :-P
Q: Who can join?
A: Anyone with a livejournal account can join the community. If you don't have a livejournal account, go get one, it's free. After you have an account, you can join us here.
Q: What are the demographics of _fcbarcelona_?
A: We did a little demographic survey last year and from that survey we found that our members are mostly female, mostly age 13-40, and many live in the United States and Europe.
Q: What are the benefits of becoming a member?
A: We do locked posts for members, which means if you aren't one you can't see the posts. What posts? Well....now..
Q: Do you have any feature posts?
A: Yes, we do. We have live match posts every time there's a Barça and Barça B game. Aside from that we have regular posts contributed by members (TMI Tuesdays, Friday Meme, FFAF, Catalan Culture, etc).
Q: What are the rules once you become a member?
A: We have few rules but if you break them, a mod will contact you to warn you then ban you if necessary.
1. When you make posts, make sure you credit your sources (put a link at the end of your post)
2. If your post contain a long article or huge pictures or multiple videos, make sure use an LJ Cut. Leave just one picture or
video above the lj-cut.
3. Picture or video above an lj-cut must not exceed 500pixels in width.
4. If you debate or argue with someone, please be respectful. No personal insults or name-calling.
5. Racist, homophobic, sexist, and inflammatory comments or posts will be deleted and users who make such comments or
posts will be banned.
6. Tag your post.
7. If you're new to this kind of community or new to LJ, we suggest you lurk and observe a little before posting and/or
commenting just so you get the idea what our culture is like :)

Not so long ago someone * cough * problematique * cough * made me watch a hockey match and i fell in love with the Washington Capitals, which means my life is a rollercoaster of emotions specially from 1 to 4 am in the morning.
Apart from having a weakness for football defenders and hockey goalies, one of my biggest passions are books. I also love sewing and cooking.

Hey all! I’m Alexis. I’m 20, currently living in the US, and have been a Barça fan for 11 years. You can blame Guardiola for that, like I do, though my dad blames himself for taking me to the Camp Nou that night when I was eight. I also support Athletic Club because they’re my granddad’s club and the first team I ever loved. Plus, being half Basque, I love everything they stand for.You’ll often see me talking about Arsenal (yeah, they let a Gooner run this place, weird, right?), DC United (my local team), and Celtic (can you say ‘too many teams?’) from time to time here, or all the time if you follow me on Twitter. It’s kind of embarrassing how much I talk about football, but after playing and following the sport all my life, I guess it’s kind of normal.
