I've been a fan since 97'. I've been running a myspace group (3 years) and website about afi for 6 yeras. I've seen them live so many times. I would have to say the best tour for me the "Black sails" tour. I followed them for 13 shows in the US for that tour. I still got all my stubs. Anyways, I just want to say hi.

hardrock69 and kaysea made a new RPG community. It's very new and you can choose which ever famous character you'd like to play! (except those who are taken/on hold/already applied for) So come join in on the fun!

A new Arts University located in Niagara Falls, Canada. It was established in 2004 by a group of collegues headed by world-renowned professors Theresa Vedder and Shaun Beckinsale.

UOACA is a school focused on educating for careers in the Arts, with degrees in majors such as Art, Music, Film and a variety of other fine arts. Including many independent study style classes which focus on developing each student's abilities.

Classes start November 15th. So come on over and join in on the new wave of Creative Arts education. Hope to see you there!

Hey people.
So i just joined before.
i'm Fizzy and i live in the UK bla bla bla...

so i wanted to know if anyone is going to the nottingham show but lives in liverpool... that sentence is confusing me so ill explain...
okay back in june/july i saw the ad for afi tours so i said 'holly hell i need to go see them'. so i bought a ticket for the manchester gig and because i wanted to see them more than once i got another one for nottingham. the trouble is that the friend whoes coming to the nottingham day with me cant give us a ride back and the last train leaves at 11:30pm. which is stupid.

okay so what im saying is if anyone from liverpool is going to the nottingham show could me and my friend get a lift from you on the way back?

Does anyone have any clue on if AFI is going to announce more European tourdates?
Cause so far they only announced some gigs in Britain and Germany and that sucks.

Ok, I need one more favor. I'm sorry to keep doing this.

I'm making a compliation for someone who has never heard AFI before. I spent a good many hours creating the perfect mix and the perfect order but I have one problem. I need to songs. I need Morningstar and I need God Called in Sick today.
For some reason they won't burn off my CD's and I have no idea why, and even if they did I don't want them with the bonus tracks.

So if someone could please help me, it's for a present. I'm trying to get it done before tomorrow.

My three things actually concern three different albums.

First off, I'm sure this has been asked before, but does anyone know what the origin/significance of the lines between the lyrics on the DU cd insert is? Is it originally the work of AFI? What is it?

Secondly, does anyone know where i can find mp3's of This TIme Imperfect and the untitled STS spoken track (we held hands on the last night of the earth...)? I wanted to get copies of them by themselves, or if not that, one of the two together, but not linked to ...But Home is Nowhere.

Thirdly, I'm looking for some Black Sails in the Sunset/Art of Drowning t-shirts, or somethig along those lines. Does anyone know where I could find them?

I appreciate your help.

Dear Davey, Jade, Hunter and the other dude whose name escapes me and I don't feel like googling it,

Seriously, what the fuck?

You pulled a total bitch move when it came to putting out Sing The Sorrow. After The Art Of Drowning, I was thinking that I had found a band that was the perfect mix of modern punk hardcore with a flair for the old school horror bands like The Misfits and The Damned. I heard Sing The Sorrow and thought "okay, maybe their record label had a lil something to do with this." I listened to it a few times but hadn't picked it up at all since then.

Then the internet rumor mill went to work, y'all were working on new material and supposedly it was a step back to the direction you were at. Okay, cool. I could forget Sing The Sorrow. I forgave Bad Religion for Into The Unknown, being I'm a forgiving person. I hear this new album and I have to ask this one question...

Did you realize that you could slap an album together that was half made up of horrible Cure wannabe songs and then other half made up of songs that were even shittier Atreyu songs and kids would buy it no matter what?

I can understand artistic growth and wanting to experiment, but when you lose the core elements that made your band so good, it's disheartening. That 37mm song? Yo, the fuck? AFI had one of the best rhythm sections going and you mute them to croon? Fuck all that shit.

I really respect you guys as a band, but c'mon, this is dreck. Pure irredeemable dreck. As much as I think you guys have it in you, I don't think that you'll be able to win me back as a fan now. After hearing Decemberunderground, I'm just going to pretend that you broke up in 2005 and listen to the old stuff and keep my memories.

Thanks for those memories though, they are good ones.

Hey guys. I'm going to get an AFI tattoo and I need your help. I want to put two of the circle symbols from sing the sorrow on my wrists, b/c i need good pictures of each. I was thinking about the falling leaves one, on the cover, b/c it symbolizes death, and the water sybol, b/c it symbolizes rebirth, but what do the others symbolize? I need to know that before I go ahead and get any tattoos. So pictures and meanings, if you guys have them.

also, do u know what the insect drawing the have in the leaflet means?
