We the people, of The Dream Theater Community, in order to establish a utopia of progressive knowledge, establish truth, ensure audio-tranquility, provide for the common listener, promote Dream Theater for the betterment of society and secure the sanctity of music to ourselves and future generations, do ordain and establish this Constitution of The Official Dream Theater Community of LiveJournal.
Section 1.
All legislative Powers herein granted shall be vested by a panel of moderators, which shall consist offortimir and necrovmx until which more are appointed.
Section 2.
Clause 1: The panel shall be composed of Dream Theater affectionados who are appointed byfortimir on a time schedule based on the number of members.
Clause 2: No Person shall be a member of the panel of moderators who has attained a distinction as posessing a large ammount of suckage.
Clause 3:fortimir shall choose the panel members; and shall have the sole Power of Impeachment.
The panel of moderators has established that any posting involving the promotion or "plugging" another community of any kind is unwarranted as well as insulting to the integrity of the community. If it is believed, in good faith, that a community should be recognized, the proposal must be submitted in writing via e-mail or your choice of instant messaging platform to a panel member. The right of the Dream Theater fans to peaceably assemble in the good name of Dream Theater shall not be infringed. Petitioning the governing body for a redress of grievances may be directed in a private conversation to a panel member by one of the aforementioned electronic methods.
The panel, whenever all members shall deem it necessary, shall propose Amendments to this Constitution, or, on the Application of the Legislatures of two thirds of the several members of this community, shall call a virtual Convention for proposing Amendments, which, in either Case, shall be valid to all Intents and Purposes, as Part of this Constitution, when ratified by the Panel of Moderators, or by Conventions in excess of two thirds of the members thereof, as the one or the other Mode of Ratification may be proposed by the Moderators; Provided that no Amendment which may be made prior to the Year Two Thousand and Five shall in any Matter affect the first, second, and third clauses in the first Article.
A well regulated militia, or street team, being necessary for promotion of such a band, the correct and best thing to do, shall not be infringed, and is in fact encouraged. Spreading the word of this music is highly encouraged and punishable by consequences yet to be determined by the Supreme Court.
Unsolicited advertisements for bands (see Article. II.), communities, or any off-topic subject is prohibited. Off-topic is defined as anything not in any direct relation to the band Dream Theater or its immediate-surrounding side projects, including but not limited to: Dream Theater (DT), Liquid Tension Expiriment (LTE), Transatlantic, Office of Strategic Influence (OSI), The Jelly Jam, Mullmuzzer, Frameshift, An Evening with Jordan Rudess, any Dream Theater albums, Dream Theater live concerts, side-project albums, side-project concerts, bootlegs and recordings of any of the afforementioned, etc. File-trading of rare and otherwise non-easily-available recordings is considered in good nature. If unsure about the validity of a topic, please consult a panel member.
The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, musical tastes, preferences: be it food, sexual, temperature, weather, location, or anything of preferencial matter, shall not be violated, with acception to Articles and Ammendments of This Constitution that lay claim to specific items. Be it this that flaming and fighting will not be tolerated. Do not risk being banned.
In the question of image posting for common ground, where the size of the image shall exceed approxomate dimensions of 250x250 pixels, the right to have a slow connection speed shall be preserved, and LiveJournal cuts shall be used as to protect minority intrests. If asked to place your images under a cut, please do so without rebuttle.
No person shall be allowed to answer for what is believed to be a capital, or otherwise infamous crime or annoyance in the community. There are stupid people who insist on antagonizing the general populus, either out of spite, annoyance, or plain stupidity. As a member of the Dream Theater community, do not antagonize, recognize, or further promote the actions of a villainous troll. You may in due process lose a finger or three.
Calling John Petrucci any heinous names of any remark, including but not limited to: ugly, grotesque, shitty, untalented, etc. will be prohibited. Remarks regarding the abnormal, if not silly, naming of his children, Kiara, Sami Jo, and Reny, are also prohibited as it is a general understanding that he was possibly and in fact most certainly under the influence at those times.
The enumeration in the Constitution, of certain rights, shall not be construed to deny or disparage others retained by the loving fans of Dream Theater
Section 1.
All persons interested in the music, genres, or members related to Dream Theater, subject to the jurisdiction thereof, are eligible to be members of the Offical Dream Theater Community of LiveJournal. No ridiculous "knowledge" tests, or favoritism will be instigated to members wishing to join. Consider it to be a privilidge to be a member, and refer to the above articles to prevent being banned.

The Panel of Moderators shall have the power to enforce this article by appropriate legislation.

The right of members of The Offical Dream Theater Community of LiveJournal to participate in discussion shall not be denied or abridged by the Community Panel or by any moderators on account of race, sex, color, previous condition of music habit (i.e. the admiring of music considered to be in "poor taste"), or any other matters that bypass the substantial love for Dream Theater.
Section 2.
The Panel of Moderators shall have the power to enforce this article by appropriate legislation.

The Constitution was adopted by a lonely Moderator on January 19th, 2005, and was subsequently ratified by the Panel of Moderators, on the following dates:fortimir, January 19, 2005; heirtoruin, January 20, 2005.
Ratification was completed on January 20, 2005.
Articles in addition to, and amendment of, the Constitution of The Official Dream Theater Community of LiveJournal, proposed by the Panel of Moderators, and ratified by the members of The Community, pursuant to the Third Article of the original Constitution:
Any and all persons suggesting in thought or deed that John Ro Myung, bass player of said Dream Theater, should remove any amount of his hair shall be immediately flogged, and/or removed from this life at the Panel of Moderator's discretion.
In the matter of soliciting advertisements for communities (see Article. V.), clarification must be made to allow such advertisements if they are a direct spin-off for a member of the band or side-project. Non-specific advertisements, i.e. a generalized progressive rock community, are still prohibited.
Section 1. In the matter of the use of LJ-Cut for large images, Article VII has been stricken from the record as being out-of-date and just plain retarded.
Section 2. From henceforth, all relevant images at or below 800x600 resolution may be posted without cut, regardless of whether or not it fits within the confines of a user's layout.
The Panel Of Moderators henceforth agrees to at all times to strive to not only withold the tenents of this Constitution, but also to adhere to it. However, at times of Community distress, Martial Law may be declared insofar as one or more moderators finds it necessary to bend, break or annihilate the constitution for the purpose of preserving peace or quelling a rebellion.
