8:11 PM 8/7/07 · Flipping channels and I come across the 2nd Spidey movie and I noticed something. It's the fight scene with Doc Ock that Aunt May was involved in and they're slugging it out like gangbusters...
...even May got in a good shot.
I'm not sure if I ever noticed this before or not but His·Multiple·Limbedness doesn't seem to land a single punch. He only hits Spidey with his mechanical arms.
Does Doctor Octopus ever hit Spidey with his actual hands anywhere in this film? |

I... am a complete and utter Doc Ock fangirl (obviously). And I have a lot of comics in digital format. And occasionally, in a spasm, I make icons.
Feel free to use these, though please credit if so (and lemme know so I can feed my ego :) ). I'm also willing to add text, alter, or even take requests (I have a lot of Ockly material, plus other Spiderman comic stuff). I have Photoshop and I'm not afraid to use it! :D
And please no hotlinking.

| New Spider-Man book |
[Mar. 9th, 2007|04:58 pm] |
Hey all,
Just wanted to pop by and let you know about a book that's just come out: Webslinger, edited by Gerry Conway (former Spider-Man comics writer). It's a collection of short nonfic pieces on Spider-Man (the comics version(s) and the movie version) that covers everything from why Spider-Man's better than Superman and who reinvented Spidey better, Bendis or Raimi, to Spider-Man as hero of the working class and why Spider-Man has more in common with horror flicks than other comics.
Cover under the ( cut tag! )
You'll eventually be able to read more at Smart Pop Books, but there's at least a little info now here.
Thanks! |

So, has anyone been keeping up with Ultimate Spider-Man and Ock's appearance in the Ultimate Clone Saga? |

Hee, I just re-watched Spider Man 2 after going cold turkey for a couple of months. That Ock doesn't get any less spiffy with time. He's still absolutely gorgeous :D
Also, how about a Q&A thread? Imagine someone has got an exclusive interview with out beloved Ock, and can ask anything they want... An example might be: Q: After rampaging about for so long, and considering how much energy those actuators must take to run, why haven’t you lost any weight? A: Chocolates. All my fangirls send me chocolates. I come home from a bank robbery, and there’s a bloody enormous pile of them, all wrapped up in heart-shaped boxes. And it'd be a crime to let them go to waste. |

*pokes community with a stick* I don't think i posted this. I'm sure I'd remember if I did. Or not. Sorry if I did and reposted. Anyway, A while back I felt the urge to draw sharp stabby metal things and I went a bit crazy with ol' Ocky.

DA Linkage
and I'm sure I have it on Lj, so: ( Voice of Cold Logic )
And if you think that's crack, Try mixing late Saturday nights (COUGH) with Doc Ock: Year One and my computer. WHAT (I am actually in the process of colouring this, oh lord)
*hides*
PS: DOCTOR OCTAVIUS, I AM SO SORRY I MADE YOU ALL CRAZY. PPS: I FAIL AT LJ CUTS (FIXED) |

| | r.e.m. - e-bow the letter | ] | Well, first of all thanks for the nice welcome everyone!
I'm still browsing all of the older entries but I have to say that we do have some insanely talented people here. Which made me wonder if perhaps you'd care for a contest? Art, fiction, icons, whater. Nothing too fancy of course but just for the fun of it. I don't know if that's possible or if you're even interested but the idea popped up so I thought I'd throw this in.
Though what I want this entry to be mostly about is my *other* idea which is also the reason for my slightly irritating subject title. As I said I haven't been through all of the old entries yet but I did come across, say for example, one member *glares* who dressed up herself and her Ock figure to support Germany at the Eurovision song contest. Loved the idea by the way ^^
Ah, but what am I playing at? Well, I just thought perhaps we could dwell in our old and/or new displays of obsession a bit. You know, sharing experiences of cosplay, random quoting, funny stories or the like related to being a tad bit too connected to our dear Otto.
( I do have this one little story here, but... )
Yeah, so... hope I get to hear something about your more fanatic moments, no matter how small or obscure. :) |

| | utena ost | ] | Evening everyone!
Could it be that at last I've actually found an Ock community which hasn't died down completely yet?
There's far too little movie Ock love left these days, not to mention comic Ock appreciation which has apparently never been a great hit in the first place, save for certain precious jewels such as the BG comics.
Well, what can I say about me that might be of remote interest? Female, 19, student, not brilliant - just lazy and slightly obsessed with my low-quality fanfiction and pseudo-photoshopping.
And speaking of which, I got you a shabby little gift in the form of ( eight icons )
I love both movie and comic (plus cartoon for that matter) Otto, although as a new fan I still have some major catching up to do on the second part.
That being said I hope I'll be seeing and/or making a few entries here every now and then and find a little bit of support for my eight-limbed obsession.
Greetings, Mouette |
